DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! The customer service I've received has been atrocious. My repair took considerably longer than it should have and my computer failed almost immediately after getting it home. Long story short, it took them a week to misdiagnose my problem and provide a half-assed solution. This company also tried to rip me off, claiming that they'd fixed my hardware issues but that I now had a serious issue with my operating system. They claimed the computer wasn't booting at that it needed to be reformatted. They wanted to charge me $160 for the reformat. I decided I'd do it myself, and what do you know, when I get there the guy tells me "oh we don't know what happened, it just fixed itself!". Yeah, right. Thanks for trying to take me for a sucker. I went to this place thinking that it would be cheaper than sending my laptop out to geek squad or something to get it repaired. Boy was I wrong. A DC Jack repair was what I brought my laptop in to get repaired for. I was told it was going to be around 100 to 150 dollars to get replaced. As I talk to the guy in the store, he seemed like a very knowledgeable person so I believed him and dropped my laptop off and gave him the okay. After they diagnosed my laptop, I received a call naming my price. They told me it would be $270 to get it repaired. I asked why and they told me it was because of my motherboard and it also needed to be replaced. At that price, it seem about right to get a DC Jack and my motherboard replaced. My laptop was ready to be 3 days later, but I got NO call from them saying so. I had to call in myself 2 days after it was ready because they were too lazy to inform me that my laptop was ready to be picked up. I though, oh well, as long as I get my laptop back, I'll be happy. Get there and I find out that all they did was replace my DC Jack, like they said but did NOT replace my motherboard as well and the price still came out to be $270. That is ridiculously over priced and easily twice the price geek squad would have charged and almost three times the amount had to pay compared to if I sent it out to Illinois to get my DC jack replaced. Way too much money for such a simple operation but I wouldn't be able to get my laptop had I not paid the price, so I did. More problems after I got home? I believe so. I turn it on and speakers don't work. It seems like they weren't able to put everything back together correctly and as I took my laptop apart to plug speakers back in, I found that I was missing 6 screws. Not necessarily important to making the laptop work but it just shows that they have a bunch of high schoolers in the back fixing all the computers. That is just sub par repair. Pros: - Fixed what I asked them to. Cons: - Prices are easily twice the amount it would take to send to Geek Squad. - Lacks communication to the customers. - Doesn't do what they set out to do. - Can't put a laptop back together correctly. - Lost screws. - Hires minimum wage high schoolers to do their repairs. - I paid for a DC Jack and a Motherboard and only got the DC Jack. read more

My computer got liquid damage (thanks to my clumsiness) so I brought it in to GoEBITS. They were very organized with appointments and were so nice when I checked in my laptop. I left feeling like my computer was in good hands. I was able to get an update on my computer while it was in the shop-- they were very transparent with me about the status and time of repairs. I got a new MacBook last month, and within a couple weeks it stopped charging. The Apple store didn't have any openings for a week, but I was able to bring it here on the same day. They finished all of the repairs in only 2 days (despite originally estimating around 5 business days), and it's been working perfectly since! First of all I need to say I hate writing reviews, but I figured I would start writing them more often since I use Yelp all the time to find my stuff. I know reviews are helpful to businesses and if the business did a great job I think they deserve credit. So here we go. First off let me say I am no stranger to ebits I have been to both of their locations on more occasions than I would want to. The first time was about a year ago when I decided to break my iPhone 4 on the floor of my kitchen. (not on purpose) A little about myself I like to get the best and I want everything to be as the manufacturer intended it to be, with the best parts available. That being said I was paranoid to get the screen fixed on my iPhone anywhere because I though repair shops would use the cheapest parts to make the repairs to save a buck. So naturally I called and researched every shop in Seattle and Bellevue asking them a ton of questions. "Where do you get your parts?" Can you guarantee your work?" "How do you make a profit?" and so on. (yeah, I know I stink as a customer) Well after much debate and consideration and spending about two days researching a shop I finally chose ebits for my iPhone repair. Man, am I glad I did when I got my phone back I could not even notice that it was ever a cracked. It seems I had just bought a brand new iPhone. On top of that they were one of the cheapest of all the shops in town. Well fast forward a year and I have used their service 5 times already two more times for me and two times for my girlfriend's iPhone. Which on one of those occasions was from water damage from falling inside the toilet ( really who drops their phone in the toilet) But the boys at ebits restored her iPhone like new. On that occasion I thought for sure the phone was a goner but they showed me. I have also used their computer repair service on two different occasions. Once to replace the screen of a macbook pro which looked like new when I got it back. Not to say at a much lower rate than the apple store. The second time I took my girlfriends laptop to see if they could recover the data from her hard drive after being submerged in a bathtub full of water. ( tip for the ladies or men don't try to listen to music and browse the internet while taking a bath) Again ebits came to the rescue not only did they recover all the data from the hard drive but at a cheaper price than any other computer shop around seattle and bellevue. I am talking $300 cheaper than the lowest other quote I had received from the other repair shops. Let me conclude by saying the guys at ebits have my business for as long as they remain in existence. I will never consider another computer or phone repair shop in all of Seattle. If you are still reading this review, stop searching take your computer or phone even tablet to ebits. They will do an amazing job for you. Tell them Victor sent you and get the elite customer discount ( HAHA Just Kidding I Wish) ahem just saying would be nice. I needed the battery replaced in my 2012 MacBook Pro and they were able to do it in FOUR HOURS!!!! The battery replacement was the same price as it would be at an Apple store and they did it much quicker! They also run a standard diagnostic test to check for any issues that your device may have and suggest fixes for them, but are not pushy about what you should do. They were very professional and efficient, I will definitely use them again if I encounter any other problems with any of my devices. read more

Ebits was a giant help today! I brought my broken iPhone 4 in and they installed a new screen for me. I had failed in my attempt to fix a stuck home button and ended up cracking the glass. I actually stopped in first at Capitol Hill and they said their tech would not be there till the afternoon so I wouldn't get it back till after 3. I was really needing the phone for work conference calls after lunch. The owner called ahead to the U. District location and they snuck me in--turning around the phone in less than 2 hours. I had asked that they replace the home button as needed since that was the initial problem I was having. Initially they were going to cut me a deal on the labor since both parts essentially required the same amount of labor and could be replaced together. But it turns out that they just needed to do a thorough cleaning and now it's good as new--no additional charge, and they didn't charge me for some screws which I managed to not put back in the phone after my botched attempt. All in all I had a very pleasant experience at both stores and with everyone I talked with in person and on the phone. My phone literally looks, feels, and works like new, and it cost exactly what they initially quoted me. I can't be happier--while I'm going to be upgrading soon to a new iPhone I can't do it yet and had no backup phone so getting my device fixed quickly and painlessly was a tremendous help. I can't speak to the PC repair but if you have a problem with your iPhone (and I can only assume other smart phones) this place can't be beat! read more

I brought my Lenovo Ideapad Y560p here for repair on July 21, having experienced some issues with charging my device. The diagnostic was relatively cheap, and they were able to get back to me by July 24 with what they deemed to be the problem: the charging port itself had somehow broken off of the motherboard, and I would need to get it replaced. I said sure. They contacted Lenovo on my behalf for the part, and after waiting for the part to come in, they got the laptop repaired and back to me as soon as possible (July 31). I'm very satisfied with their service. Knowing how expensive my laptop can be, I was very glad to see that I could trust them not to do any unnecessary repairs or cause any damage. Very good, friendly service. The only issue is that I would recommend calling them for questions and comments, rather than sending an email. read more

My MacBook Air was water damaged and the keyboard and trackpad stopped working. Fortunately, I could use my laptop fine with an external keyboard and mouse. I brought it into Apple and after doing their diagnostic in the back they came to the conclusion I needed to replace my top case and logic board due to corrosion. This would cost $760. I couldn't afford that so I went for a second opinion at GoEBITS. After their $50 diagnostic, they found that the chord between the keyboard and trackpad was corroded and they could replace it for an additional $250. I decided to give it a go, and I had my laptop fixed in just 24 hours. Very happy about saving less than half of what Apple tried to charge me. They were a pretty great second opinion if you need to go that route. read more

The representative who is taking care of my case is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I dropped off my computer on a Sunday and he told me they would do diagnostics in 2 days and reach out to Apple. Two days passed and I did not hear from them. I emailed on Day 2 and on Day 44. I finally called on Day 5 only to discover they havent done anything on the computer yet; they have only been holding on to it. I expressed my frustration especially because they did not bother to communicate this significant delay or respond to my emails. The representative told me non-chalantly to come pick up my laptop if Im that frustrated‍ You would think any reasonable person would apologise in this situation given they are in the wrong for delaying and not communicating, but he was so rude. He was pretty much gaslighting me claiming that 1-2 business days isn't that much delay and he has so many computers in his backlog as if I am the one who made him give me the wrong estimate initially. I wonder if racial bias was factoring in his communication with me because I doubt he talks to other customers like that -they would be out of business simply put! Please just take your device to Apple even if that means waiting a little for an appointment. Ive had a positive experience at the other Goebits location in Seattle so I guess its just this particular employee. I hope their management exercises more caution with employees they put in customer facing positions. Disappointing experience! read more

This place is amazing, I called them after the Apple store told me it would be a flat fee of 750 to send me MacBook for repairs, they said their normal price which was much cheaper so I went over to their store. Was greeted right away and they told me what would happen to my computer which I didn't get at the Apple store. Absolutely Great service, unmatchable. In the end my computer was too damaged and the only price I had to pay was for them to figure this out, which wouldn't have happened anywhere else. They specified they don't want me to have to pay any more money then I would have too, unlike other places. Absolutely amazing service and fast turnaround. The staff was super helpful when I came in thinking I needed to throw away my old computer because it was SO slow! Instead they helped me upgrade my laptop with more memory and a new hard drive! They also transferred the data from my old hard drive to the new one, but made it look like nothing had ever happened. When they returned it to me everything was in its same place and moving so much faster! This took just a couple of days too. I would totally come here again. read more

This store had quite a good rating so I expected good quality service. My old Dell laptop's screen was jammed. The hinges were misplaced and I had trouble closing and opening it. Nothing was broken and all I needed was for an experienced professional to take it apart and to put the hinges back in the right place. NO PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED OR REPAIRED. The laptop is now barely worth $400. They took my laptop in for a free diagnostic and after holding my laptop for two days, gave me a quota of $150! That's absolutely ridiculous considering the fact that's almost half the value of my entire laptop for a simple adjustment! After asking if they would guarantee a fix, the man behind the phone said that he could not even guarantee that my touchscreen would be fixed. It's quite unfortunate that they would inflate the price for such a simple fix in the U District where students are trying to save money. I had 2 keys that didn't work on my MacBook and prayed that it wasn't a huge cost. Apple had referred me to GoEbits to get quicker response, so I gave it a try since it was close by. Willy called back and told me that it would be a week out for the next appointment. Bummer, but understandable considering the current affairs of 2020. He was extremely patient with us as we aggressively (sorry! This was after multiple phone calls with various corporations with no solutions) explained our situation. After As a UW student, I passed by this place everyday. My iPhone on/off button got stuck and I decided to walk in and see what they could do. They usually take appointments but even with a busy schedule, they were able to accommodate to my needs and made the effort to squeeze me in their afternoon schedule. They asked me to come back in 3-4 hours to check on my phone after explicitly going over the diagnostic fees and costs. They were very upfront and took the time to explain the risks involved. At first I thought the diagnostic fee of about $49 was too much but Jesper explained that if they were able to fix it, the fee would be waived. After it all, it cost about ~$89. Overall, the service was great. It was fast and they were helpful and even threw in a deal on an iPhone case. Reliable people. I'd recommend them! read more

My experience here was so satisfying! I heard from a couple friends about this place for getting my phone fixed. At first, I looked at the reviews and wasn't sure. But my experience was nothing but amazing. First, they are very timely. I brought my LG G2 (which takes some adept skills to re-install screens to) just late last night before closing and I got it back the earlier today. Very impressed. Everything was working perfect, nothing funky. Basically pristine condition. I even brought in my own replacement screen and they were able to work with that. Second, customer service is big for me, and they've been nothing but kind. I think that for the 3 times I've came in everyone at the front desk was ready to help and accommodating. I can tell that the manager and the staff make this a priority and that all of them are hard workers. They are very clear with the warranty and the terms so that is appreciated too. Make sure you read it so you don't get mixed or worked up later on. Third, price. Their prices are super reasonable and for the service and reliability, it's definitely worth. Since my phone is pretty difficult with putting the screen back on, it took a little extra time. But they didn't charge me extra for it at all! Really appreciated that. When my "vintage" computer crashed and I was referred to this office, I was very skeptical. The last time my computer crashed, I was referred to a different business and ended up without my computer for almost 2 months. Angel, who was the one who helped me, diagnosed the problem within minutes. It was the exact same problem that happened the last time. However, even with ordering parts, labor, and then shipping it to me, the time frame was way shorter than the time of the previous crash. To save even more time and money, Angel did some detective work online and found my exact computer. Within minutes I clicked and purchased, and will receive it at my home in less than 2 weeks. The hard drive will be able to transferred over to the "new" computer as well. When I got ready to pay, I was told there would be no charge. The service was so quick and spot-on I gave them some money anyway. If I had more money in my wallet at the time, I would have gladly given more of it to them too. read more

I took my MacBook Pro to get repaired at GoEBITs last week. At first I was a little wary because I've never used an Apple authorized shop before but my experience at this location was amazing. Jasper listened to what was going on with my computer and helped me talk to Apple Care are they were trying to deny coverage even though I had time left on my coverage! I've only been to this compact, student-staffed nook to have my cracked phone screens fixed and I have no complaints about the work. On each visit I came to expect a communication glitch or some other odd detail, and I learned to embrace these. On two different occasions, although there were clear instructions to the contrary, I was called instead of e-mailed when my phone was ready and, as a result, I had no idea. I wondered if they heard it ringing in the shop. One one occasion my phone came back with a screen protector and the other times not. And so on. Anyway, I like this place against my own better judgement and will most certainly be returning with cracked screens forever. read more
