Quick, friendly and attentive. Had the Pixel 8 green screen/flickering problem and they had the parts at the ready (I called them to make sure in advance). They told me not to come that day, but drop it off the next day since they were busy and didn't know if they'd get to it same day. I appreciated that greatly, instead of not knowing in advance that I may be out a phone for a few days. Dropped it off (paid parking right out front, free 2-h parking right down the street), they emailed and texted my partner later that day to pick up. Phone clean, in great condition, repair was covered, and they made sure everything was working prior to me leaving. TLDR: Gage is the man! He saved me $150! Had scratched up camera lenses so I went to the Apple store to see if they could fix them. They told me I had to replace the entire "back glass", essentially the entire back of the phone just to get new camera glass. And of course they were completely booked for the day. Went to Verizon and was told the same thing and that I should file a claim with the insurance I got for my phone. Many calls later I have the insurance company send the claim to UBreakIFix. I get to the UBreakIFix store on NYE and Gage immediately spots that there are actually covers on the camera lenses. He goes in the back and 20 seconds later the camera covers are removed and my camera lenses are good as new! Saved me $150 that would have been the insurance deductible! Woohoo! read more

This was a 2+ star experience and maybe I'm just feeling grumpy about the whole thing, so I've rounded up to 3 stars. You should know that these guys work with Samsung, so they will be obligated to fix everything on the phone, not just want you want them to fix. I was envisioning an experience something like: drop off device, they fix the device, I come back later that day or maybe the next day at the latest to pick up my device. Instead, the process took around a week with a lot of back & forth and unnecessary confusion. They insisted to correct cosmetic things I didn't care to fix at an added price of around $100. Then, the pricing they quoted me for the repair (which matched what was on the website) didn't match what they charged me. Presumably the repair is solid (albeit at a much higher price than anticipated) but given the unpleasant experience here, I'll try somewhere else next time. read more

Had a broken cell phone and staff were exceptionally helpful. I really like the fact there was no sleazy upselling or other sales tactics just straightforward here are your options and costs and information. They even had some new whole home insurance policy and it wasn't mentioned until I asked about it and then they were happy to provide details. It also wasn't like the staff were just lethargic not caring at all, they were upbeat and listened well. I ended up not have them repair my phone, but did end up getting the policy. Going into places like this you always worry, but they were very professional and would 100% trust them with repairing any of my devices. read more

Brought in my phone Monday (My Birthday). Needed a simple screen replacement. I was warned that Samsung has rules about repairs and that they need to replace the back glass as well but there is no mention of my clearly mangled camera. They tell me they are waiting for parts and it will be done Tuesday. On Wednesday I get an email that they have started work on my phone. On Friday, having received no texts or emails, I go in to ask for an update. "Sorry we could not get the parts to repair your camera so we can't fix it at all." Now I have to take it elsewhere and I'm waiting for parts again and Ive been out a phone for a week. I'm shocked that there was no effort at all to communicate with me at any point. read more

My cellphone would not charge. This is a major problem because without that phone, I cannot do Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). I made an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. However, I was essentially unable to access any services on the web because they all assume that you have a working cellphone. So I called them this morning, and asked them if I could come down and leave the phone with them, if that would expedite things. They said yes. So my grandson and I went down there. Mack looked at the jack and said there was something in there, said he could fix it in 5 minutes. Took him 3 minutes. Plugged the phone into a cable at his desk and the cellphone got to 3% charge just while we were standing there. I thought I was going to have to get a new phone, with all the problems that would entail. As I write this, the phone is up to 11% charge. The reason why I went to ubreakIfix is because a couple of years ago, the battery on my wife's iPhone started expanding. My wife took the phone to the apple store, and they sold her a new phone. Of course, the new phone didn't have any of her data on it. I went to the apple store to get her old phone back (they were really snotty about it) and took it to ubreakifix. The next day, my wife and I went to pick up her phone and the battery had been replaced, all of her data was safe, and the phone has not dropped 1 byte ever since. She wasdelirously happy. My experience may not be the norm but I cant recommend this place. My poor experience started earlier in the week when I called during business hours to ask about a switch repair. No one answered and the phones voicemail box was full. Not a great first impression. I then went onto the corporate site to book an apointment. I provided my phone and email and it let me book for 1/1. When I showed up the store was closed. No one had bothered to reach out to let me know the site was wrong and that the store would be closed on new years day. Today I drive down to finally get the 'free' water damage estimate advertised on the site. On the site it says Free Water Damage Diagnostic. To me that sounds like they are going to take a look at my water damaged item and tell me what it would cost to repair. When I get to the store i'm told that the free estimate is to only open it up to see if water got into the electronic. Since we know its water damaged it will be $99 for them to open it up and dry it off....Seems like bait and switch to me. I don't trust this place and can not recommend them to anyone. read more

Showed up for my prescheduled screen replacement for my Galaxy S20 and their Samsung system is down so they can't do the repair. The guy couldn't explain why they need to access to an external Samsung system to replace my screen. No advanced call to save me the 45 min round trip. Have had frequent issues with no communication from this business. Took a ps5 controller there to be cleaned and they had it over a month and a half. Bought monthly deal of $25 to have things cleaned and fixed for free but was still charged $30 for the controller after it was transferred to a different store without my knowledge, forgotten and finally fixed because I called/went to store and complained. read more

Super happy with the guys here. I made an appointment to get my iPhone fixed. The phone wasn't charging and I assumed that my charging connector was busted. Wasn't charging consistently and cable was loose. Showed up at the appointed time (only one person in the store at at time due to COVID). They checked asked me what the symptoms were and said - "you probably just got dirt packed in there - We'll clean it out for you and won't charge you anything if that's all it is". They looked in the charging port and sure enough that was the problem. Spent 15 minutes scraping it out and then doing took it in the back and cleaned it out with propanol. Sent me on my way. This was so lame. I went in because I couldn't figure out how to put my spacebar keycap back on. I waited 20 minutes while the guy explained to this girl that she should get a new iPhone (that they conveniently sell) if her phone has water in her charging port. When he got to me he went to the back and the repair people said "just put the button on", very helpful to him. He brought it back to them and I heard them talking about like "don't do it that way or it will break". He told me I should just replace the keyboard for $150 and get on one of their many valuable plans so I just left. It would have been way more effective to say hey we don't know how to fix this but we can find out. It took 10 minutes for me to put on the button on btw. read more

I called to see about getting a device in for repair. I was told it would take a day and cost $99. I dropped device off on Monday. I was given a different story about diagnostic and repair. I was told it could take 3 days. Day three I got the diagnosis and the cost of repair is the same as quoted. That said I had to call 3 times to get the diagnosis. The person on the phone went to great lengths to upsell my an extended warranty at $25 per month. Even after I declined he pressed on. Frustrated is how I am feeling about this interaction. Ubreakifix, please just focus on fixing my device, set reasonably expectations, and follow thru. Pretty simple ask. read more

My Galaxy S9 hasn't been working right for the past couple weeks. Sound from the earpiece was coming through very soft and muffled. And my voice sounded distorted to people I called. I took it into two T-Mobile store and both tried to fix it, then said I probably need a new phone. So I finally got up the courage to bring it in to uBreakiFix today, thinking this was going to be at least a $100 repair. The technician took my phone in the back and returned in less than 5 minutes. We tested it on a call and the sound was perfect. He said the protective case was slightly torn, covering the mouthpiece, and the earpiece had some dust which he cleaned out with a toothbrush. I told him the T-Mobile salespeople also tried cleaning it. He said they probably didn't know what they're doing. I asked how much I owe him and he said it's free, no parts required! It's a rare thing to find great customer service, honesty, and a high level of expertise, all from one shop. I'm more than happy. read more

I dropped my Pixel 3A and the screen shattered even underneath my tethered glass. I learned the hard way that these phones are likely to have a cracked screen when dropped. I currently live in Tacoma, so I called around and could not find someone who could replace the screen. I even had a place tell me that it would be more expensive to get my phone fixed than to purchase a used one - which made no sense. I found this place on Yelp and saw that they are authorized by Google for services on Pixels, so I called an made an appointment. When I brought it in I saw a plaque that awarded this company for their Pixel services, so I felt I made a good decision. They said that they do services on the 3A for cracked screens at least 7-8 times a day. They told me it may take 3-4 hours but were done in 1 and a half hour. The screen replacement was less than the other place that told me I had to replace my phone! My phone looks great and I'm very happy with the this service! I'd definitely recommend this place for people with Pixels. They also have a warranty read more

I scheduled an appointment several days in advance through the website and was quoted $200 to fix my iPhone screen. When I arrived at my appointment, the person working said it would be about $200 to use the worst of 3 screen options and over $300 to use an apple oem screen. They only had the $300+ screen in stock. Online, I was not given options to select a type of screen and therefore had no expectation that it would possibly be more expensive. Worst customer experience ever. I serviced my pixel 3 because back camera won't focus. They repaired it for 3 days, but the camera wasn't functioning at all. The speaker is also dead. They offered to reverse the repair, I needed to wait for 2 hours. After 2 hours, they told me that the touchscreen is dead. I already paid for more than a $137 (I think more than the phone itself). The reason I paid for it because I don't want to switch my phone. Now they want me to wait for another week so they can find me a new phone. They called me before the appointment time to say they didn't actually have any appointments that day and that the next available was two days later. They said Samsung doesn't know about their schedule, but yet this location participates in the appointment program on Samsung's website. Then, the employee indicated that they would need my device for up to 3 days to do a free diagnostic on the issue, and then could recommend a fix. It takes less than 1 hour to replace a charging port, and others will do it same day. So we went elsewhere. read more

I woke up one morning and, like all mornings, I grabbed my phone. Unfortunately, the screen would not turn on and I started freaking out. I was going out of town the next day and would be lost without my phone. Samsung directed me to uBreakifix for warranty repair. I showed up before they opened and was 3rd in line. After they quickly handled the first 2 customers, they immediately diagnosed that my screen was bad, verified that they had a new screen in stock, and set me up in their system. tl;dr my service was fast, kind, and overall superlative. Suggestions for potential phone screen break clients: - Especially if your phone is more than ~1.5 years old (from release date) or not from a very popular company, call ahead of time to check part availability. Do this wherever you go - Remove any case from your phone and check on both sides to see if it rocks at all (I mean AT ALL) on a flat surface. If so, be aware it will revoke uBreakiFix's warranty. They'll let you know before any repairs, just a caveat emptor ----------------------------------------------- My Google Pixel 3a XL took a spill Friday night causing the screen+LCD to break, a DEFCON-1 scenario for my job. I scheduled the soonest appointment I could find in the area, 6 PM next evening at uBreakiFix. Having worked at other repair shops in the area in the past, I knew it was a longshot any would have a replacement screen readily available for a 3 year-old midrange device. I found someone kind enough to let me borrow their phone to find out (thaaaanks Kiss Cafe), and was very pleasantly surprised to hear they had the part in stock. These folks managed to get it done before doors closed at 7:00. Should note that I paid a $25 upcharge to have it looked at ASAP. Wasn't upsold; I asked if they had such a policy, and frankly, $25 for immediate diagnostic/repair is cheaper than probably any other repair shop in the city. The customer service rep (Icy?) and technician (we'll call him Boots because I envy them) were both very polite to myself and the other clients. Me breaking phones is as certain as the sunrise, so... My repair was an unnecessarily frustrating experience for a large number of reasons. Here are the main ones. - I tried phoning the store more than half a dozen times over a three week period at various times of the day, only to have it go to a full voicemail mailbox every time. In-store they told me this was because corporate decided to send calls to a call center, and that happens if noone is available to take the call. - I came into the store to book my repair because there was an issue booking this same repair with BestBuy (I am happy to explain). Despite being able to make the booking being just a few days later, the store was unable to hold my device until then, citing that they have so many and they might lose it. I was pretty annoyed that I would have to drive to the store again just to drop it off. I have worked in an IT repair shop before, and to me this seems ridiculous. - I came in a second time to drop off my item, but took a lot of unnecessary wasted time because questions I was asked either could have been asked when I booked it, or were redundant because they were asked last time. Very frustrating. Also, there was a line of other customers looking to drop off in the morning, which wouldn't have been an issue if I could have just left it there when I booked the repair. - I did not want to give the store my device password for running diagnostics after the repair. I was told I could come in again to enter the password, which I was happy to do, however the info I was given was inconsistant. The person scheduling the repair said that after this stage it would be 5 hours running diagnostics, the person I handed the phone to said it would be 30-60 mins, and when I was phoned to come in, I was told that it would require multiple times entering my password. In exasperation I opted to have them factory reset the device instead. The technician said that diagnostics would run and the phone would be ready for pickup shortly. I informed him that after after previous conversations with other staff I was warned that I should come in only after diagnostics had passed, lest the diagnostic not pass and they need to add more glue or something. The technician agreed to call me back once the diagnostic had completed so I could come on down. He never did. I had to call 1.5 hours later. - The prices are more than fellow authorised reseller BestBuy, who charge $269 for a Galaxy S10+ screen replacement vs your $299. The person scheduling the repair confirmed with the manager to price match this, but I had to renegotiate this and wait for management approval both when I dropped off the unit AND when I came in to pick up and pay. Again, so frustrating. Why couldn't a note be made in the booking?! - Other customers ahead of me had all sorts of equally frustrating, but different issues, from the call center entering the wrong store ID for a booking, to miscommunicating pickup time to customers, and more. - Samsung and UBreakIFix sent me separate emails days apart after my repair asking for feedback. Samsung were first, so I can only guess few people will fill out UBreakIFix's form. Ideally they'd work together so customers get just one email, or they could warn customers of this so they can save their responses and paste them in? Neither Samsung nor UBreakIFix got back to me after writing this scathing feedback, which is why I am posting it online. - They signed me up to recieve promotional emails from the store, which I never opted in to. - I have told a great many of my friends about the terrible experience I had at this store, and will continue to warn people NOT to use UBreakIFix stores should a friend ever tell me they need a phone repair. This is all ridiculous. None of these things should have happened. I would rather use an independant repairer than UBreakIFix next time. read more

This is by far the lowest rating i've ever wanted to give a company in response to how i was treated and their actions and statements during the repair of my phone. I'll try to make this short but I dropped off my Samsung Z Fold 2 with minor damage to the front screen (glass was cracked on bottom) and minor damage to the large double screen. Both these happened months apart and I actually kept using the phone in the exact condition i turned it in to this ubreakifix. Both screens were damaged while in my pocket. My keys and phone shared the same pocket many times with all the iPhones i've ever has with no issues. Right away that front screen glass cracked while they shared a pocket. It was very minor so i didn't bother with fixing it. From then on, I made sure they never came in contact w each other again. About 3 months later I opened up my phone and found a quarter that was inside. I realized it made its way between the screens in my pocket and i didn't crack anything but the very top right of the big double screen had a small black spot a little smaller than a dime witch would get a little worse every time I cleaned it as slightly pushing on it made it run. Although annoying I still used it regularly for almost two more months until I had a little more time to turn it in and set up a different phone I could use while it was being repair. I'm a very busy person so I really try to maximize my time especially during business hours. I decided to get it fixed mostly because I was now confident my new system of NOTHING IN MY FRONT RIGHT POCKET BUT MY PHONE seemed to be working well! I took it into this location because one of my employees said he got his large screen repair that he broke AFTER I gave him the 1st samsung fold because i got this new one and he said the did a good job although it took a long time. I prepared to not have my life line but I was really surprised when I dropped it off the guy said 24-48 hours and it will be done. WOW I actually boasted to my friend that my repair would be much faster. The next day I got a call from one of the employees who was nice and he said "They can't fix my phone because the motherboard was damaged and that they need to send it to samsung for repairs". I replied to him how could it be broken sir? I used the phone in its current state for over a month with no other issues? He kindly replied he didn't have the details but we'll know more after samsung looks at it so i agreed. Five or so days later samsung calls me saying it's all finished and ready to mail back to me. I gave them my address and waited! An hour later samsung called again to get my address to send back my phone "unrepaired". I said why isn't it repaired? At no time did i say anything but I need it to be fixed so I can start over w my new pocket system. The lady replied "ok but they need to call the University ubreakifix to see what's covered. I waited and was kinda surprised when she made the call w me on the line. I didn't say anything and was quiet as they were talking and i'm not rude. THE REAL ISSUE CAME UP WHEN HE DIDNT KNOW I WAS ON THE LINE TOO. SHE SAID THERE WILL BE COST ASSOCIATED WITH THE REPAIR (witch I fully expected EVEN THOUGH I ALWAYS BUY THE BEST INSURANCE IM OFFERED). The man told the lady that I said "It was ran over by a car that's why i need it fixed". I couldn't believe what i heard and rudely said excuse me? I dropped the phone off with two minor screen issues so minor that BOTH screens worked fine like I showed you guys when i dropped it off. I never said anything about a car or anything but the truth. How it actually happened. I think when they attempted the repair the obviously damaged something else in the process and didn't want to accept the consequences so he decided to lie about what i said originally made me request a repair. Besides the screens there were some tiny scratches on the hinge and that's only scratched as none of the phone cases offer a cover for the hinge witch is why the back looks brand new. I never drop my over 2000.00 dollar phone. But i'm a very busy person and a man so my pockets are always full. My iPhones never had a problem with that. The bottom line is I have many of Samsung's top products and the 1 TIME I NEED A REPAIR THIS IS HOW IM TREATED? LIED TO? I feel scammed and like i was robbed. I don't know what's gonna happen but I know i told the truth. Of course they're gonna believe their own people. Maybe someone will in the company will be passed to me and maybe they'll make it right? I won't hold my breath but until that happens i'll never spend another dollar on anything samsung. I will add pics and will update as this story unfolds. If i was on a tight buget i'd really be in trouble or phone less and we all know that's not an option. i never like leaving bad reviews, but unfortunately my experience has been very poor on multiple occasions with this business at multiple locations (u district, tukwila, federal way). i have been sent on wild goose chases only to still have a broken phone. i made an appointment with the tukwila location for a broken screen, when i arrived i was told it was not the screen itself but the screen protector- despite the associate barely looking at my device. i was redirected to the federal way location as tukwila did not have the proper supplies to remove/replace the protector. i called ahead to the federal way location to ask if they had both a screen protector and a screen replacement on the chance it was the screen itself, i was told they had both. when i arrived i was once again told it was the protector itself and that they did not have the replacements in stock. after i insisted it was the screen itself (as it was fairly obvious it was not the screen protector), the associate agreed to remove the protector to be sure. as i had thought, it was the actual screen. the associate told me to file a claim with samsung and return after that was sorted to get my repair. when i attempted to file a claim with samsung i was repeatedly directed to make an appointment with asurion rather than submit a claim. i called the u district location as it was the closest available location and made an appointment. while on the phone making the appointment i asked if i had to still file a claim with samsung, and the asurion associate told me that no, it was up to asurion to decide if something fell under warranty or not. i also asked if they had a replacement screen in stock and was told they did not, but would order it overnight so that it would arrive in time for my appointment (two days later). when i arrived for my appointment i was once again told it was the protector (even though i no longer had the protector on), and when i pointed out it was the screen itself the associate checked stock and said they did not have the correct part (despite supposedly ordering it overnight two days prior). i was then told that asurion could not make the call on if it was under warranty and i had to file a claim with samsung. despite being told the exact opposite on the phone? i was also informed that removing the screen protector had voided my warranty, something i had not been told at the federal way location where i had it removed. i have had similar problems with other phone repairs with asurion in the past- such as being told a part would be ordered for me, and then showing up to my appointment only to find it was not. employees seem uneducated on their company's actual policies and there seems to be very little or no internal communication. as a customer service worker myself i know it's not that hard to order something when i tell a customer i have done so. i also know it's not that hard to not withold information (voiding my warranty without warning) or give false information (who decides what falls under warranty) to customers. i am very disappointed in this service, especially when i have paid asurion easily over $1k in repairs at this point. do better. read more

I spent half the day with the runaround at Verizon, Xfinity, and Best Buy. Walk in, the coldy give you a number, tell you to take a seat. Then when they finally get around to calling your number, they rarely can actually help you. Went to uBreakifix on recommendation of a friend, and it is completely the opposite. Where do I start?!..These young kids are so tech savy it is incredible!...I had a little tiny Verizon LG flip phone which broke in half..when I called Verizon they said there was nothing I could do and by the way..they are no longer making those phones and I would not be able to use it anymore and had to upgrade to a different phone...well..it has been absolutely horrible since then..new phones were all dudes and had multiple issues with each new model..on a whim..someone was able to drop off the little LG phone at UBreak It I Fix IT and I thought..what the heck ..let's see if they can fix it..Well about 2 weeks later..I get a call and VIOLA!...they FIXED IT!! and I can actually make calls from it..using a calling card..BUT WHATEVER!!...IT WORKS !!. YAHOO!!...they performed a miracle !...I will be eternally grateful to them and they have been saints ever since!...they answer any stupid questions I have and are always extremely patient with me!..Needless to say ..the entire team at UBREAK IT is amazingly helpful and intelligent and polite and courteous!.. I was able to make an appt online, which was very convenient. The location itself was a bit hard to find in the Ave as it doesn't stand out very well. Once I arrived, they were able to get my repair done fairly quick, about a 30-40 minutes. During this time there were numerous walk ins and the place was full. They honored a yelp discount code at the time, which didn't apply when making my reservation as it stated it would, although the price was still over $100 for the screen repair in an iPhone 7. The screen looked nice after, but it was an obvious replacement as the edge stood up more than the original, and if you tilted the screen at an angle, you could see a matrix design pattern on the glass or whatever it is. The clarity was not as good. This was my first time ever having a phone screen replaced, so I don't know if those small issues come with the territory or not.
