After replacement my girlfriend and I started noticing condensation both front and back camera lenses that eventually led to the phone randomly turning off. Tried troubleshooting but unable to turn phone on. Took it to another third party phone repair shop for diagnosis and was told whoever did the replacement left the inside messy and the screen connection was loose. The repair guy was able to bring the phone back to life during diagnosis but the screen was flickering. He recommended to take it back to where it was originally repaired. Drove back to Redmond and explained the situation. Employee said it will be about 2 hours to take a look and will call/text when ready. Okay cool. So we waited 2 hours and when we came back and he asked did you receive a text. I said it was already the 2 hour mark... The one hour device repair guy then explained the screen connection is corroded and proceeded to show a picture on his phone of the corrosion. He suggested we must've dropped it in water. So now I'm thinking, how can a connection be corroded internally if this phone is water resistant and the phone had these problems AFTER the repair? Even so, we NEVER exposed it directly to any source of liquid since the time of initial repair. Even if we did, shouldn't it NOT have this issue anyway? Also we NEVER received any document or signed anything acknowledging of any potential risks after repair. I asked the repair guy what are our options. He said he can order the screen replacement and have it done on Wednesday. I asked him if this was going to be charged. He said yes. I said no. He said call the number for "headquarters". I called and no one picked up. We left and on the drive home the number from "headquarters" calls us. I explained the situation again to "headquarters" guy and asked for what are our options. He said we'd have to pay $309. I said no. He said let me place you on hold and call the repair guy in Redmond. We waited on hold for a bit. He comes back and says the corrosion is from water damage. I'm thinking what is this guy trying to imply? We continued to have a back and forth until he relents and says I can do it for $209. I said no thanks. That is literally the cost of a replacement phone adding both repair costs. Honestly I was livid after this conversation. Not only was there zero accountability from their end, but they tried to shift blame on the customer for using their phone normally. TLDR: Please make sure you are aware the risks of getting anything repaired from this business. It might make more sense buying a replacement instead.

I asked him if he makes transfers between old laptop to a new laptops and he said yes. I asked what he charged and he said $100. I gave him my phone number and left both machines. I told him I wanted the new machine to look like the old machine and we agreed. I got there he had not done as I asked and wanted to charge me three times what he quoted. He said he had worked on it overnight! There were folders on the screen like the old machine but they were empty. Nothing was like the old machine, absolutely nothing. My Outlook had names but no addresses or emails. When I tried to discuss it with him he kept saying he did not understand. He tried to tell me it couldn't be done. I had to erase the new machine and get someone else to do the transfer which took him less than two hours. He is likely very good with hardward but he never should have taken on a software project that he knows nothing about it. He never should have taken on the project and he never should have charged more. He should have called me and admitted it was beyond his knowledge. I felt totally ripped off, he not only didn't help me he cost me MORE time and life energy. I should have known looking around his disorganized shop he was not the guy for my job. Sad because I wanted to support a small mom and pop shop.

I had a deeply frustrating experience with LML Repairs that I feel obligated to share…read more Initially, I brought my phone in for a battery replacement. Without informing me, they installed an inauthentic battery. I only found out afterward. When I pushed back, they admitted it and offered to get a genuine one--but only if I paid extra. After more back-and-forth, they finally agreed to source the authentic battery at no cost--which I appreciated at the time. However, it took them 2 months to get the battery in, and during that time, I had to chase them repeatedly for updates with almost no communication from their end. When they finally texted that it had arrived, I was out of town and couldn't come in right away. When I did go back, I was told the battery had "been there for a while," which just added to the poor communication issue. The technician handed me my phone back after the replacement, said nothing about any issues. Everything seemed fine, until 30 minutes later, the screen suddenly stopped turning on. I had a friend help me call them, and the technician admitted the screen was already "damaged" and that he had hoped it would last longer. But he never told me about this issue during the repair or gave any kind of warning before handing the phone back. It's clear that whatever final damage was done, happened in his hands, yet he refused to take responsibility. He then offered to fix it for $60--again, using an inauthentic screen. I tried to negotiate given everything that had happened, and he refused. When I went in to discuss this in person, he tried to show me the "existing" damage--which may have been there--but none of it was communicated to me in either of the last two visits. At no point did he say, "Hey, this screen is fragile or already cracked." If he had, I could have made an informed decision. I left feeling upset, misled, and taken advantage of. Summary: * Used fake parts without disclosure * Lacked transparency and professionalism * Terrible communication * Failed to warn me of known issues * Didn't take accountability * Tried to upsell more low-quality parts Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable repair shop that respects your time, money, and trust.
