The fellow runs a small shop and I wanted to give him a chance. I have met his wife and she is very nice. He is likely good with hardware but knows little if anything about software. I asked him if he makes transfers between old laptop to a new laptops and he said yes. I asked what he charged and he said $100. I gave him my phone number and left both machines. I told him I wanted the new machine to look like the old machine and we agreed. I got there he had not done as I asked and wanted to charge me three times what he quoted. He said he had worked on it overnight! There were folders on the screen like the old machine but they were empty. Nothing was like the old machine, absolutely nothing. My Outlook had names but no addresses or emails. When I tried to discuss it with him he kept saying he did not understand. He tried to tell me it couldn't be done. I had to erase the new machine and get someone else to do the transfer which took him less than two hours. He is likely very good with hardward but he never should have taken on a software project that he knows nothing about it. He never should have taken on the project and he never should have charged more. He should have called me and admitted it was beyond his knowledge. I felt totally ripped off, he not only didn't help me he cost me MORE time and life energy. I should have known looking around his disorganized shop he was not the guy for my job. I accidentally dropped and spilled a bit of wine on near the start button 2 more weeks ago. After reaching out multiple times without any updates, I've visited the store four times in order to get my computer back and I was told my computer was NOT REPAIRABLE - yet I was charged $163 for clean up the wine and backup lol. The third time I dropped my hardware at noon and was told to pick up by 7p and when I got there, my computer was not ready at all and the owner had turned into gibberish mode by saying my computer was at 50% when he sent me a message, but see the pics! Then he asked me to come back at 8p instead and I said no! (The 2rd time that owner asked me to give him the hardware.) In short, there were no initial quotes, no updates throughout, and ultimately, no repairs!! Be aware of this conman, I would absolutely NOT recommend this store! read more

I was told by the Geek Squad at BestBuy that my computer couldn't be fixed by them; they sent me to a computer repair shop that told me the same and tried to sell me a refurbished computer to replace mine. Luckly I discovered Cloud Electronic. Although my computer, is old the owner at Cloud fixed my computer and It runs like a top. The cost was much less than having to replace my computer. This shop is trustworthy, true to his word, and didn't gouge me on the price of the repair.
