Iced Latte Turkey Bacon & Egg Croissant

Goddess and the Baker serves a truly delicious breakfast. You can tell by the long line to order! The place was packed. There was plenty of seating as half the people were to-go orders. Seating indoors and outdoors. Food came out decently quick. Both of our orders were delicious and had a great presentation. My plain iced latte came with a muffin on top! So many amazing looking food in the display case, it was hard to not let my eyes be bigger than my stomach. Can't wait to come again and try something else.

I love the Goddess brand, usually I go to the one on Wabash but I'll have to check this one out more as it is much more spacious for indoor and outdoor seating. A small wait to get a drink but it's busy and they work hard for good quality. We need more of them everywhere!

The sweet matcha was good! It was very smooth and tasted grassy in a good way. It wasn't TOO sweet. The mango mint lemonade was very refreshing. It was quite nice Half kale apple half ginger tonic is very nice! It has a good healthy taste and a ginger tinge. The pumpkin loaf was good but plain. It wasn't bad at all it just has room for improvement The chicken supreme tasted like food from the freezer into oven. Which of course is what most food is, but that's not what it should taste like. There is a good flavor there, but it's hidden by the freezer note. The pumpkin croissant was kind of dense. It tasted good but the actual croissant part Was A bit too dense for a croissant I believe. The actual pumpkin part was a little sweet, but it was decent. Maybe if it was warmed up it would taste better. Also, maybe if the croissant was flakier and thinner it would be less dense and easier to eat.

The amount of outdoor seating right on Madison is fantastic. On a cool summer morning, this was perfect. The service was helpful and gave suggestions. Offered to warm up the blueberry muffin. The breakfast sandwich was great. Thank you GAB team!!!

Fun interior with comfortable seating indoor. They also have outdoor seating options available. Service was relatively fast. Food and drinks were good. Large selection of pastries and drinks. I would like to try more of what they have to offer in the future.

Good coffee shop. The line gets super long and crazy and when you order, there's really no space to stand around, it's sort of chaotic at times. I went on a non busy day, so it wasn't too crazy. Ordered my usual, chai latte with oat milk, and the lady sold me the last pumpkin spice danish, which was delish, very sweet though. Plenty of tables outside if inside too packed. Location is bigger than the other one.

If happiness had a café, this would be it. From the moment you walk in, Goddess and the Baker gives off pure good-vibes energy with warm lighting, fun decor, and that heavenly smell of espresso and fresh pastries. I stopped in for a quick coffee and ended up staying way longer than planned (because how could you leave?). The menu is packed with creative drinks; think colorful lattes and seriously smooth cold brew, plus delicious food that's as beautiful as it is tasty. I tried the avocado toast and a slice of cake, and let's just say... the name "Goddess" fits. The staff were friendly, fast, and clearly love what they do. Whether you're grabbing something on the go or settling in with your laptop, it's the perfect spot to sip, snack, and people-watch. 10/10 would recommend. If you're in Chicago, this is your new happy place.

    Kale Crunch Salad

I've had food from other Goddess and the Baker locations, so when I saw it on DoorDash while in town for work recently, I decided to order a salad for my lunch. I was looking for something healthy and wanted to try something different than my usual Sweetgreen. I got the kale crunch salad (grilled chicken, rainbow kale, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, blue cheese, sliced apples, and toasted almonds with honey mustard dressing and parm crackers). When the salad arrived, I was surprised at the "parm crackers" which were more like... flaky flat biscuits. They were tasty but not quite what I expected. I really liked the honey mustard dressing, and the chicken was tender and not overcooked. I did have a few chunks of Brussels sprouts stems that were inedible but otherwise the salad itself was pretty good and the ingredients seemed fresh.

Walking inside is like pastry heaven. Delicious baked goods all on display. Yummy. The inside decor is so very lovely and cozy. Expecting to get a salad, I was pleasantly surprised that they have GF bread! Therefore I enjoyed a bacon, egg and cheese on GF toast. Delish! Also they have my fav......MATCHA!! So good and sweetened perfectly. I will be here on my lunch break often and with a good book. Very nice restaurant!

Rise & Shine Muffin (V, GF)

Rise-n-Shine Muffin (vegan and gluten free) is an excellent choice for a satisfying bakery item. Perfectly topped with sugar crystals, seeds and toasted coconut. The muffin has bits of zucchini in it, so it is very moist and what I think is the perfect amount of sweetness (not overwhelming). Very "fluffy" for a gluten free item. As do most gluten free items, the muffin doesn't hold together once you cut into it or break it apart. The strawberry matcha latte with oat milk was fair... decent strawberry purée, but the cup was barely 3/4 full, also ordered the drink extra hot and it was far from hot, let alone extra hot Service was good, and the interior clean.

While visiting Chicago, I wanted to get coffee at a local shop rather than one of the big coffee shops. Goddess and the Baker was in walking distance of the hotel. I'm so glad I picked this location. The food was fantastic. The coffee is great and the ambience lovely. The staff provided the utmost care in the service I received. Whether you are local or visiting, I highly recommend you visit one of their locations. You will not be disappointed.

Cute busy spot. Went with the ham and cheese croissant - warmed and a latte. Seems to be a nice meeting spot.

Great lively and comfy breakfast spot with so many pastries and options! This place knows how to handle the morning rushes well and still provide good service and good food. Coffee was tasty as well! We got the Huevos rancheros and chicken tinga - loved the tortillas that came on the side with it!

Kari's Rating 9.25/10…read more TLDR: -2 types of pizza, tavern = thin, Artisan = doughy -Opens at 4pm-Can have a line when opening! -One of my personal favorites for pizza in River North! Came with a friend for dinner around 4 PM and man was it crowded as soon as those doors opened. It had been my first time there and I'm more of a lover of pizza that has a little bit of dough, so we started off with the crispy calamari appetizer, and then went straight in with the artisan style vodka, pizza while adding Italian sausage. Calamari was pretty good, it was lately battered, and not very oily which I appreciated. It came with a lemon as well as some kind of mayo, dipping sauce. It was very delicious and light and came out relatively quickly after ordering. I was trying to see room as the pizza was the absolute star of the show-The cheese came almost the ends of the perfect puffy and doughy crust. Although, the middle of the pizza was thinner than the artesian, puffy crust, yet you could taste everything when you took a first bite. The combination of cheese, sauce, banana peppers, and the Italian sausage was incredible. Now, normally I would think vodka anything would be a little heavier, but it actually was a perfect light bite pizza. We seated in the secondary dining room and it had a very interesting layout, but it was very trendy and modernly decorated. I can't believe how packed it got considering we went in on a Monday. We left around 6:30 and the place was almost fully packed, including their first entrance seating. I fake to the bathroom as I was paying the check, and it was interesting considering the bathrooms were only one stall per gender, which is very unlike River North considering the bathrooms, usually take up a significant portion of the restaurant layout-but who knows, maybe they didn't have the space? We finished off our early lunch with a tiramisu and it didn't come out traditionally looking like a tiramisu, considering it came in a bowl almost as a pudding. It was coated in a dusting of cocoa and chocolate crispy rice balls, but was surprisingly not very coffee flavored. I don't personally like the strong coffee taste into tiramisu-and I found it absolutely delightful, although I would consider it more of a vanilla tiramisu than a traditional. Overall, a very positive experience, the servers were relatively attentive, the prices were moderate for pizza in River North, appetizers and dessert was relatively good as far as pizza goes in Chicago and I look forward to returning sooner than later!!

I love their vintage decor and dim lighting. The food was outstanding. I loved every flavor of pizza I tried. The mushroom truffle was exceptionally good, with a strong truffle scent. They have a dairy free pizza option that was surprisingly good. The fried zucchini was crispy and came with a creamy dipping sauce. The spicy vodka pasta was another hit - the noodles were bouncy, and the sauce was so flavorful. Can't wait to visit again and try more delicious dishes.

It is a pretty neat place when went in I saw that they have a lot of memorabilia all around the place. Also famous people have also been there with their autographs on their pictures. This place was quite busy which tells me that it must be good. It was very organized you can order your meal on a kiosk or at the counter. We decided to order it at the counter I ordered a famous Chicago hot dog which is an all beef hot dog on a poppy seed bun topped with chop onions, sweet pickle relish, tomato slices, dill pickle and a small spicy pepper with no ketchup but does have yellow mustard the price you could not bet it was very reasonable my guest ordered an Italian sandwich. After ordering the cashier gives you a receipt with your number on it and you step to the side. Then you wait until your number is called and that's how you get your order. Yes it was crowded but we waited for our two items for at least a half an hour which to me was unacceptable but besides that the place is really neat to try and the hot dog as well as the Italian sandwich was delicious definitely will be back again fingers crossed that we don't have to wait so long but the wait was worth it. They also have lots of seating around the restaurant. There is a second story as well you could sit up there.
