Ramen & Billy Mac
Kandus J.

HOLY COW!! This place is absolutely incredible!! The food was so damn good that I wish there was a location in Georgia! The atmosphere, amazing! Service, top tier! Food, I'm already drooling just thinking about it! This was literally some of the best ramen I've ever had! So many great vegetarian & vegan meals! If I ever go back to this area, best believe I'm hitting this place first!!

I LOVE Goatocado .. I'm a new vegetarian and they are so delicious and clean. They're not a "fake" healthy store where they use food with fillers because I've never felt bloated after eating there. I've tried the Vietnamese and Japanese bowl. My recent experience I added a side of rice noodles to my Japanese bowl and it was chef's kiss. I'll probably say that I love the Vietnamese the best so far but I still have others to try. My husband got the California tortilla and was shocked at how much he enjoyed it (why the camera didn't eat first). Anyways, I love stopping by here when we're in Richmond. Also, the staff is so nice and personable no matter the time of day. I've gone around closing and also mid day and their employees are chipper and so kind.

Thai Ramen

The thai ramen was absolutely delicious. The broth had such a pronounced flavor of lemongrass and it was fairly savory. Staff is very friendly. Everything in the restaurant is meant to reduce waste which is fantastic!

My kid loves goats and avocados. So of course we had to eat here, thought it would be a cheap eats, but man does everything add up quick. Ramen was really good. Fun flavors really come together. Some things were just ok. I'd still probably eat here again if I lived in the area. Food comes out quick. Cute trendy little spot.

Vietnamese Wrap

This was very good and very healthy! I got a Vietnamese wrap and it was so flavorful and generously sized. Lots of vegan/vegetarian options. All their sauces are vegan too! It was $18 for my wrap, and so worth it! They have indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of street parking

I had a really nice time here ! I was able to get a healthy twist on ramen but Mexican style without quinoa. I will be returning. I was even able to get a 100% veggie bowl but I didn't even feel like I needed meat. The food came out fast and the ambiance was so cute and they have outside seating!

Was visiting family couple weeks ago and they recommended this place; everything was fresh and fast. I would definitely go back!

If you're like me and searching for a restaurant with fresh, green ingredients, look no further--Goatocado will not disappoint. We decided to try something different this time around. My husband picked the Mexican ramen with gluten-free rice noodles, while my sister and I split a Mediterranean quinoa bowl with grilled chicken. The Mexican ramen quickly became one of my favorite dishes! It had a nice kick to it but wasn't too spicy (my tolerance level is low). My sister loved the Mediterranean bowl, though I think I prefer the California bowl, so I'll be trying that next time. The staff is nice and welcoming, and the ambiance is great for both small and larger groups, with ample indoor and outdoor seating.

A solid healthy bowl that is quick and convenient!! I haven't been to their brick and mortar, but have had Goatacado several times from their food truck. Each bowl I've had has been filling, well balanced and nutritious. They also do a great job modifying for food allergies and have great vegan and vegetarian options.

You order on a kiosk. This place is popular. That's great. Since we are from out of town this means they have great food. Friendly service and the outside seating is nice. Big wood tables. Beautiful day to eat outside. We loved it. Got a Mediterranean bowl and a Mediterranean bowl with chicken. Both awesome. Fresh spring mix with beautiful quinoa and all kinds of veggies. It is so pretty. I love all the colors. The chicken what grilled to perfection and what amazing flavor. Juicy inside. Topped with a Mediterranean dressing. The best bowl I have had. If your in the area pop by. It is awesome

Great food and always quick service! I love this place when I'm craving a healthy but cozy meal. The patio is so cute and it's even more fun to dine out there in the rain. The menu items are pricey but it's worth it.

Mexican Ramen. Without a protein. Very tasty, but the portions are too small given the price.

Our entrees were equally as tasty. I ordered the salmon and it was done well! My only personal preference would be to swap the green beans for the collards next time--the green beans just weren't cooked quite the way I prefer. That said, everything else was really enjoyable. Overall, a great meal at an equally great price. We were pleasantly surprised to walk out for under $65 without ordering drinks. Definitely felt like a great value, and we'd happily come back!

I got the Shorti Bowl, which is eggs and meat over cheese grits. It was good but I just wanted the cheese grits to commit a little harder to the cheese. The meat itself was good too, although it did feel a bit like a piece of meat had been plopped in the middle rather than everything really coming together as a dish. My husband got the sandwich with basically the same kind of meat, and somehow it was both a LOT of sandwich and not a lot of sandwich at the same time. It looked impressive as a Katz's-esque pile of meat, but once you actually got into it, it was mostly meat, bread and pickles. I kept expecting some sauce or another topping to show up and it just...didn't. Also a little unwieldy to eat, although I guess that's part of the territory when your sandwich is 70% meat. I think Lunch Supper sits in a funny middle ground between classic diner/brunch food and a more modern version of it. Nothing we had was bad, but for some of their more popular dishes I guess I expected a little more oomph if that makes sense (and yes I tried adding hot sauce). I'd still happily come back with friends, especially to sit outside. I just think I'd be coming back more for the vibes vs the food.

Soon after we. Ordered the octopus and mussel appetizers a storm came in and the rain fell pretty hard. Our choices were to run back to the hotel or stay and dine huddled under an umbrella. Being a little wet with beverages and good food seemed the better option so we ordered more food. The octopus was great. I have tried it prepared many ways and here it was both tender and flavorful, really done well. Shrimp cocktail is usually pretty basic, but often the simplest dishes demonstrate the most skill. This is truly one of the best I have ever had. The shrimp were plump and flavorful. Their cooking stopped at just the right time leaving a slight bit of translucent hue, but still cooked through. Very nicely done. The salad with home ranch was dressed nicely and the dressing was light. The scallops were cooked well and perhaps my only criticism is that the corn purée was better in concept than execution. I can't say enough about the staff. We were two people on a Sunday night crazy enough to dine in a downpour. The staff never made us feel like they wanted to punch out, embraced us being outside and were creative in waiting on us with umbrellas to keep the food from getting wet. It would have been understandable for them to limit the trips to check on us, but they persevered and made us feel welcome. I couldn't reach anyone, so I left a voicemail, sent an email, and sent a social media message. After several more calls the next day, I finally reached someone, explained the situation, and was told my reservation was cancelled and I was "all set." The following day, I found a $50 cancellation charge on my credit card. I understand the posted policy is subject to a $25-per-person charge for cancellations less than one day in advance. In my 40 years, including 7 years working in the restaurant industry, I've made plenty of reservations secured with a credit card and have never had an experience like this after speaking directly with a restaurant to cancel. It was extremely misleading to tell me I was "all set" without the restaurant mentioning during that conversation that the $50 fee would still apply. Had I known, I would have tried to find two other people to use the reservation. I raised this with the manager, who gave me no grace given the circumstances. She repeatedly referred to the cancellation policy and told me their staff aren't trained to remind customers about the fee when cancelling a reservation. This was a 5 PM reservation on a Tuesday, right when the restaurant opens... not a weekend, holiday, or peak dinner hour. I made repeated attempts to give notice, and I expected cancelling to be easy and straightforward. Instead, I feel cheated by how the conversation and charge were handled. Future customers should be WARNED that being told your reservation is cancelled and you're "all set" stills means a cancellation fee is coming. BEWARE before making a reservation. I'm asking L'Opossum to refund the full $50 given these circumstances. If they do, I'll gladly update this review to reflect how the issue was resolved.
