This is our first move in SF and so glad that we chose SOS moving company. They are a LA-based company and also covers the Bay Area. Our movers were Oscar and Zhan, they are super professional and fast - they definitely have a lot of experience with loading, staging, unloading items to-and-from the apartment, elevators, truck. They took very good care to wrap delicate surfaces and made sure that our monitors, tables, and other furniture didn't get scratched up. They also disassembled and reassembled our bedframe for us. Overall, the movers were amazing - very polite, had great attitudes, and efficient. For the apartment building we were moving into, we had a frustrating issue with double-booked elevators and street parking (for another move that arrived early), and Oscar & Zhan handled the situation courteously and patiently. Also, I kept contact with Henry on Yelp, he is also super responsive, and answered all my questions quickly and professionally as well. I had a very disappointing experience with this moving company. It took 7 hours to move a one-bedroom apartment, which felt completely excessive -- especially considering that all of my furniture was already disassembled and everything was fully packed and ready to go (only 11 boxes total). There were also two movers on the job, which makes the timeframe even more frustrating. What upset me most was the pricing issue. I was told they would amend the rate and apply a $30/hour discount, but after the move was completed, they went back on that promise and said they would only take off a maximum of one hour. That felt misleading and unprofessional. Additionally, one of my glass items was broken during the move. While I'm not seeking compensation for it, it added to an already negative experience. Overall, I'm extremely dissatisfied with how everything was handled and would not recommend this company to others. read more

These (3!) strong, respectful, professional young men made my terrible moving day more than bearable with their patience and grace. We were not as ready as we should have been. And they were patient. We needed a few unexpected things and they were professional. As I was hurrying to my car so as not to make them wait at the new place I realized I had forgotten my keys. The guys had taken off, I ran back up to get my keys (leaving my bag, purse, 500.00cash right against the fence). At that minute someone drove up, stole my entire bag, purse, cash, jacket, lease, etc. The guys were worried about me first. As you can see, the story goes on- in same fashion. I came up with the funds and I do realize that this moving day could have been far more stressful without a team like Goat Movers. Calm, careful, efficient, supportive. PATIENT. This is our 3rd move in last 6 months. It's been a stressful and exhausting few months. This was our first time using Goat as we were living in Gig Harbor. But so glad we chose them! The whole process from beginning to end was very smooth. We had a pretty big move for my daughter and I moving from a 2 bedroom apartment to two 1 bedroom apartments. Sam and his crew did an amazing job sorting and separating our furniture and boxes for each apartment. But the most impressive part was how quick and efficient all four were. Normally, you have one or two good guys and the others are slackers. But Sam and his 3 crew members did a great job packing up our furnishings and then unloaded everything so quickly and organized. The entire experience with Goat movers was great! we had to switch our move date twice due to delays with our remodel and it was super easy and the gal on the phone was very helpful. Prior to our move date we got several email reminders and a text reminder as well which was very helpful. On the morning of our move Sam texted with his ETA and the team were on time as scheduled! Sam was very polite as we walked through our home to outline what we needed loaded into the truck. The team busted there humps to get everything done as quickly as possible. We had a last minute cancellation from another company and from the moment we talked with Mike on the phone to the moment the move was finished, our minds were at ease knowing our belongings were handled with care and that we were with people who we could trust. Not only did this company cover us last minute, the day of, when another mover fell through, they sent the best people that were overly generous with their time and extremely capable. Great! Highly recommend... Quick, efficient, carefully, Use these guys, they rock! I am moving just 1 block away, and decided to get movers. Thorough protection, and efficient... I thought it would only take 3 hours, ended up more than 5, my bad. Except for leaving a cabinet and a box in my old place, and leaving all my doors open after they finished packing the truck (I walked to new place to meet them there...) it was perfect. A little disturbing to walk back, into my propped open exit door of apartment building, and apartment door standing wide open... Otherwise good job. read more

I am very grateful to the guys from SOS Moving for helping me with the move. They did everything quickly and accurately, did not damage anything, did not break or scratch anything. All the furniture was packed well. I especially thank them for my beloved old sofa, it is old, but the guys packed it very tightly and it was delivered safe and sound. The three guys we had were very efficient. They took great care of all of our furniture, no scratches, no damage, and placed everything where we asked! They even assembled our pain in the butt Ikea bed frame. They were also super fast! We were able to set up some of our stuff before they even left! From start to finish, including wrapping and loading furniture, driving to our new place, and unloading, it took less than 5 hours to move our 2 bedroom condo to our new home! Sam showed up with a crew of 3. They came in, got familiar with everything and got right to work. Sam did a great job as he was clearly the leader. I had a same day move and they didn't slow down until everything was done. Sam even offered to help me after the truck was empty. This is by far the best moving experience I've had in recent years. Zhora, Alex, Serg helped us with a move today and I can't recommend them enough! They showed up right on time and brought all the boxes and equipment they needed. They moved super quickly, had our 2 bedroom apartment packed up and all the furniture taken apart and loaded within 3 hours. With driving, unloading, and putting furniture back together it took 6.5 hours. They were all very nice and fun to spend the day with. They were super careful not to break or damage anything. I used this company a few times. for my long-distance moving, and everything was great. Ilya and his team came on time and were very professional and did very good packing. They used a lot of blankets and plastic shrink wrap to pack everything so it wouldn't break. They work fast and smooth and don't waste any time . They took care great care of my things (wrapped my TV, end tables, desk, dresser, etc.) and even boxed a few things for me that were scattered around my apartment.
