The rate was good and they did a…read moredecent job although I asked their movers to mask because we are immune compromised and one of them removed her mask right in our faces while we were paying which I did not appreciate and was dangerous. This time the crew was 45 minutes late because they went to the wrong address during the first part of the move despite me being very clear, repeatedly, where to go. That was very inconvenient and my mom had to wait around in her car outside a storage unit while I kept having to message to ask what was going on and barely got a response. I received the final invoice and paid it immediately with a nice tip anyway. A couple days later I started getting a bunch of emails from the company saying that I hadn't paid. I sent them a screenshot of the $0 invoice balance and the transaction on my credit card. It had the name of the owner and a transaction ID and their ZIP Code. They continued to message me every few days saying we didn't get your payment, you must've sent it to the wrong place, they even sent me another invoice like they expected me to pay again. I kept telling them to check in on their side and that I didn't know what else to do. I provided ample screenshots showing that I paid and they kept blaming me and trying to bill me again. I finally filed a dispute with my credit card company which was painful because I'm disabled and making phone calls hurts me. I didn't know what else to do because this is not a small bill and the company wouldn't stop bothering me. Finally they made a call themselves and immediately sorted it out which they could've done in the first place and then they apologized to me and said yes you did pay right away it was an error on our end. This was a complete waste of time and completely unprofessional. It's not appropriate to harass a customer who paid, who has clear evidence of paying, instead of just doing your due diligence and trying to resolve the issue without making me feel doubted and blamed for days. I can't recommend this company and I'm very angry about the way I was treated. Harassed for something that wasn't my fault at all and that they could've resolved with one quick phone call on their end instead of bothering me when I had just moved and they know I'm disabled. Avoid this company.

I was very nervous about being available for all of the days in the delivery spread, but Larry was able to commit to a concrete delivery date over a week in advance, which placated my nerves and satisfied the strict rules of the condo building I moved into in DC. Nothing was broken, and the movers in DC even lugged my oversized sofa up eight flights of stairs to the top floor since it was too big to fit in the elevator. I'd recommend United/Chipman to everyone.

Moving a family across the country is a major undertaking, and Chipman did an incredible job from beginning to end. Every person we interacted with was professional, respectful, helpful, and clearly cared about doing their job well. Our belongings were handled with great care throughout the entire process, and the team made what could have been a very stressful move feel organized and well managed. We are beyond pleased with the service we received and incredibly grateful for how well Chipman took care of our family and our belongings. They were cost-effective (came in significantly lower than a previous quote I had from another group), on time, and handled my artwork and furniture with utmost care. Not only did they do an incredible job on the very last day I had in my old home, but they also literally wrapped everything in plastic and/or heavy blanketing. Truly astonishing how they gave me an hourly rate that was lower than the flyer I received in the mail. Just a bit over a thousand dollars to move a 4 BR, 3Bath home from Kent, WA to Puyallup. No extra charges for anything, and I paid almost 400 dollars less than the estimated quote. I'm not a big reviewer guy...lol, but this place was just what I needed and they delivered big time! Seriously, like I told my realtor, if you want to really help your clients with their move, send them to Josh at New Horizon. Side note: This company has some bad reviews that were intended for another company on the East Coast (New Horizon...no "s" at the end) Really great people and I can't say enough, obviously lol. Again, Thank you Josh, Tammy, Alex, Gustavo, and Carlos...you are so appreciated!!!

Bait-and-switch from the…read morefirst phone call to the last day of delivery. * The sales rep never mentioned a 21-business-day delivery window -- I was told it would arrive "when I needed it." That window, and the fact that it's a standard (not guaranteed) service, only came up when the crew showed up for pickup. * The 12% fuel surcharge was never mentioned verbally. * My original estimate was $3,655.68 for 350 cu.ft. By the time I signed, it was $5,262.12 for 425 cu.ft. -- 44% higher, sprung on me with the crew already there. * Their initial sales email explicitly called delivery within 21 business days "guaranteed." That word was never used again in any later communication once it mattered. * I was told my shipment would dispatch "this week." It didn't, no update, no explanation. Delivery ultimately showed up roughly 10 business days after their own contractual deadline. The driver didn't even know his own company owed a $30/day late penalty -- he had to check. I only got that credit because I pushed for it myself. Then, on delivery day, they sent a full-size 18-wheeler to an apartment complex with a normal circular parking lot entrance that other carriers handle without issue. It couldn't get in. Goods had to be reloaded onto a smaller truck on the spot -- a completely avoidable failure that ate back into the small credit I'd just fought for. Every step of this, from the first sales call to the delivery truck itself, required me catching something they either omitted or got wrong. Would not use again and would not recommend.
