Wow. This place has amazing pizza! Came here with my family and we all agreed it's some of the best pizza we've had in a long time, from the dough to the perfectly cooked crust. We tried the pepperoni & sausage and the white P&S pizza, and both were insanely delicious. The pizza was both thick and light at the same time. We also ordered the house salad and... bomb is the only word. That spicy Italian dressing was straight fire! So good that we tried to get the recipe, but they keep it under lock and key. Can't blame them. BUT, they might package and sell it sometime in the near future. Highly recommend checking this spot out. It's located in downtown Mesa, so there's no parking right out front, but plenty nearby with a short walk. You order at the bar/front (no table service), but everything comes out fresh and fast. Clean space, good vibes, and food that absolutely delivers.

Pretty good little spot for pizza in DT Mesa. I met a group of friends to catch up. Good amount of seating and lots of drink options, if that's what you go for. I ordered the green + white which was a pesto pizza woth garlic and mozz. To my surprise, the garlic was raw. To be honest, I can't remember if this was specified on the menu or not but maybe a quick roast wouldn't hurt because raw garlic just steals the flavor show. I kept leftovers and reheated this the next day which made the cheese meltier and garlic more bearable. My friends got a pizza with maybe a shredded pork and chipotle raspberry sauce, plus pickled jalapenos. That was a flavor explosion and a really good balance of sweet and spicy. Overall pizzas were good and I would come back to check out new flavors.

I have been hearing great things about this bar for over a year. We finally tried it and we were not disappointed. The bar has a fun atmosphere. The bartender treated my husband to a free birthday beer. The pizza and drinks were great. Another great addition to downtown Mesa!

SO GOOD - just come here and order everything. I was here recently to meet a friend for dinner, and walking, it was definitely busy! They are sharing space with a brewery so when you order it will be right at the entrance on your right! We decided to share a pizza and got it half Pepperoni/Sausage and Bulgogi/Mushroom. We also shared the hummus appetizer! We were talking hot gossip and updating each other on the drama of our lives but it was really hard with HOW GOOD EVERYTHING IS. We literally had to take a break from talking to just enjoy the food. The hummus was actually really good, the pita was flaky, and vegetables were crisp! Pizza: OMG - I was a little upset we decided to split a pie because I would have gladly been greedy lol

Can pizza be a spiritual experience? I say yes lol. We aren't drinkers, but Goat and Ram is in the same space as a brewery. The space was large and had a very cool vibe. You had me at 2000s indie. I haven't had pizza in MONTHS. It's started making me not feel well. Unfortunately, it's one of my partners favorite foods. Before our vacation ended I wanted to find a pizza spot for us to have lunch. It's like I was touched by an Angel girl. Immediately upon walking in, we were greeted by the owner, who asked if we had ever been in. They gave us the rundown of their smaller menu and how everything is made by them (crust, the croutons on their salad is made from bread they made). I'm such a believer in doing a few things really well, and this place knocked my socks off. Not only fantastic, but also the first time pizza has not made me ill in months and months. The care they take for the ingredients and prep really shows. We shared the pepperoni and sausage and added the caramelized onions from another menu item. SO. GOOD. Just the right amount of everything. The cheese, the sauce, the meat, THE CRUST. Omg. Don't skip the cherry pepper jam. If they bottled and sold it I would put that shh on everything. 1000/10 thank you so much!

I'll keep it short and sweet-- this pizza is incredibly good. Goat & Ram used to be a food truck. I would usually see them in front of Chupacabra. Now they are a permanent part of Phantom Fox. I enjoy the rotating pizza flavors and have enjoyed it every single time. I really like their cheesy bread and hummus also. So good.

This visit was even better than the last. The cheese blend with the dollops of ricotta were so good. The dough is really what sets this pizza apart. It's so light and airy. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The best of everything in my opinion. Ordered online and walked down the street to pick it up. It was ready the minute I walked in. It's always a struggle not to eat the whole pizza in one sitting. I lost the battle this time lol.

Both my best friend and local pizza expert Wizard of Za recommended Goat & Ram pizza, so of course I had to try it. It's located inside of Phantom Fox Beer Company in downtown Mesa. They have plenty of tables as well as seats at the bar. There are a couple of TVs, so you can catch a game while enjoying some food and beer(s). I got there around 11:30am on a Sunday and was the first customer to order pizza. The whole place got really busy starting around noon. The food menu is small, 4 non-pizza options and 4 pizzas, which is great because I often get decision fatigue. I tried the Cheese pizza which contains three types of cheese - mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan. I loved how cheesy it was. I mean the cheese pull was perfect! The crust was slightly thin yet still strong enough to hold up the topping. I liked that the outer crust was airy and not dense. Their second standard pizza flavor is Italian & Sausage, then the other two are rotating flavors. They also have a variety of side sauces. I didn't try any, which I regret because the calabrian chili oil and habanero honey sound so good. I don't usually go to downtown Mesa, but I would definitely go back for more of this pizza!

I really, really like the food here. I'm lucky that it's right down the street from work, so it's a quick and easy lunch. The staff here is so nice. It's shared a doable with Phantom Fox Beer Company, but because It was the middle of my work day, no beer was purchased. We ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza and the hummus. I think the crust on the pizza at goat & ram is the best crust I've ever had. It's delicious! But, to tell you the truth, it's the jalapeno hummus with the bread (I'm guessing it's the amazing pizza dough, but I could be wrong), carrots, and cucumbers that's my favorite - - Yes even more than the pizza! I could eat that hummus every single day and be happy. This is one of those places that everybody has to try, so if you have not been here, go fast! You won't regret it!

The pizza place & the brewery Phantom Fox are the same place. Everyone inside is friendly and quick to acknowledge you, which is always a plus in my book. I had a pizza that was cauliflower based. Ive had pizzas with cauliflower based crusts before, which is why I ordered this one. Maybe this was just not what I wanted, but it had a very odd flavor to it that I didnt like. We all have different palates so maybe it was just me. Regarding the beer, I'll be the first yo admit Im a beer snob. If you fall into this category as well, you'll want to take a pass here. I tried a couple of their IPAs & they were just undrinkable. With Oro Brewing just down the street, I was disappointed... read more

Pizza was so good. We had the pepperoni and sausage pizza. Had small slices of sausage which tasted much better than I thought. Also had their hummus. We normally have pizza at Mykes Pizza but I'll be having this pizza instead. They are relatively close to each other. I do prefer the hummus at Mykes because their pita bread is to die for and much larger. Only complaint was that the air blew so hard on me while eating my hair kept getting in my food. Even after I clipped it up. It was nice and cool in the place but uncomfortable with the hurricane force winds blowing on me. read more

We tried the cheese pizza and one of the specialty pizzas for the week, cheese was by far the favorite but they were both amazing! They were very busy, but we didn't have to wait too long. Staff was super friendly and we enjoyed sitting on the patio, weather was great! We can't wait to come back! read more

Ick..... nice place... Good concept.... The pizza is gross. The crust is good the sauce is flavorless... Little Caesars is much better. The toppings are overwhelming and the giant chunks of garlic are very spicy... I cannot eat this pizza it just turned me off. If the sauce was better I think it would've been a better experience for me read more

I was there last night & the food here was great! I had the taco pizza. I have to admit I was stunned at how delicious it was! The cheesy bread was great. The hummus delicious with a spicy kick. The biggest problem is that the Goat & Ram side has super bright white lights overhanging and it destroys the vibe/atmosphere, as the Phantom side has nice warm lights. You can see the bright daylight "hospital" lights in Goat & Ram easily from many parts of the Phantom side and it's jarring. Need fix. See pic. Also, too often the pizzas are not topped enough and you end up with literally half the pizza being untopped crust. Yes, that saves money for the restaurant, but at these prices we need less stingy pizza toppings. read more

I have definitely had a lot of pizza in my life. And this place absolutely ranks up there with one of the top five. The dough is light and fluffy with a crisp, the ingredients are extremely fresh. It's not the biggest menu in the world, but what they do they do amazing. You have to find a time to go down and enjoy a cider or a beer from the bar and have at least one pizza. read more

This place has the most amazing food and always comes up with unique new pizza combinations to try! Pictured is Dirt Candy. We live in North Phoenix and drive nearly an hour for this place. Searched for a good pizza joint near our hotel in Mesa and this did not disappoint. Coming from CA the downtown area (small) had a nice vibe. They are paired with a decent brewery that has a nice selection, and the service was great. We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza, and while the toppings were on point, the crust is awesome. Almost a fluffy/light buttery croissant flavor but still held up to the toppings. The sauce was also advertised as "Smoked tomato sauce", and that held true - the flavor imparted a smoky finish. Always fun to try a new twist on a pizza I haven't tried before! read more

That's really freaking good pizza. The crust was awesome. We tried one of their pizzas, it's a newer flavor that they rotate, called TORO, with lemon garlic sauce * roasted cauliflower * feta * caramelized onions * harissa hummus * mozzarella. Sounds strange, but it was VERY GOOD. Somebody else got the broken dart pizza which had salami, goat cheese, and roasted red pepper jelly on it, that was fantastic!! Excellent pizza, and good beer in the same spot. Definitely will be back. read more

This pizza is a masterpiece. The Best Ever. Everything on the menu is fresh, creative, clean simple ingredients, and house-made. We started with a snack mix. Well seasoned and a perfect accompaniment to the beers. Then had the slightly spiced hummus, super fresh veggies, the house made bread was light, fluffy, and crispy. We also tried the white pizza. The crust is pillowy soft, perfectly crispy, and holds up to the cheese. It also had roasted garlic, and a habanero honey that was a flawless combo of flavors. We will definitely be back. read more

Whether you are a pizza person or not this is incredible, you have to give it a go. The pizza dough is flaky and buttery, their pizza sauces are delicious and flavorful, and they have a solid selection of options. Their ranch is really good too. I've been eating their pizza for years since they were just in a food truck and they've never disappointed. Service is always friendly. Their downtown Mesa location is shared with Phantom Brewing which is great to grab a pizza and beer. Very chill but fun ambiance. read more

Pizza was delicious! Worth a stop for pizza lovers! We stopped in on a weekday and it was packed! There's plenty of seating which is good. To order your pizza, you'll have to go up front by the door (they don't take food order at the bar). You'll get a number and they'll serve you once ready. We ordered the pepperoni & sausage. This was excellent. I really enjoyed the dough. I normally don't eat all of the crust but with their pizza...I ate it all lol. Dipped in their ranch - yum! read more

Absolute Treasure of a Craft Pizza spot in downtown Mesa. I've been twice now and both times the eclectic choice of ingredients and toppings created a unique and special culinary experience. On this most recent visit I ordered the mushroom bulgogi pie and it was unlike any pizza I've ever had, the sweet notes of caramelized onions balanced out the bold and savory mushroom flavor perfectly. read more

Goat and Ram might possibly be the greatest pizza place in the world... It is without a doubt the greatest pizza restaurant I have ever tried. Ever since I was a young kid i have been a very skeptical eater, only eating the most basic of foods. However, when I decided to give Goat and Rams creative and unique pizza options a try I was speechless... it was easily the best pizza I have ever tried. When I realized that their menu changed every 2 weeks I was heartbroken, I thought that I would never be able to eat a slice of pizza that good ever again. I was wrong. Every single time that they drop a new menu item it somehow surpasses the week before. This place is a never ending gold mine of pizza knowledge. The staff is exceptional and will always work with you to make sure your experience is held to the highest standard every single time you walk through those doors. I am convinced that this place will forever be the greatest pizza restaurant in the world. Side note their house salad with the spicy Italian dressing is my favorite salad I've ever had. Seriously this place does not miss ever. read more

The pizza was amazing! The crust is perfect, not chewy but light with a little bit of crisp. The actual edge of the pizza was nice and crispy. I ate the cheese half and the flavor was so good! Their mixture of cheeses makes it delicious. We got a wonderful tiramisu for dessert. It was fantastic. Highly recommend this for your next dinner out! read more

If I have to rate pizza in AZ, this is definitely in the top 3. It's the crust. I don't know what they do, or how they do it. Just keep doing it. It is the first place I think of when someone says "pizza". I wish them YEARS of success!!! read more

Ok, we were in Mesa over Christmas and went to Ram and Goat inside Phantom Fox. I liked it. To check myself we went a second time. I have got to say this is some of the best pizza I have ever had. At the age of 64 and coming from NY, I have had good pizza. These guys make good pizza. We also tried their hummus, that was excellent. This place is a must try. We have loved Goat and Ram since we found them as a food truck at Chupacabra Tap Room! We hired Dan (Goat and Ram) to cater a party we had at our home and it was absolutely delicious. Our guests loved it. We are so excited to finally get to dine at Goat and Ram in Dan's brick and mortar inside the Phantom Fox. Yesterday, we enjoyed an amazingly fresh salad and 2 pizzas. John had the mushroom mascarpone, and I had the pepperoni and sausage. Both were so good. Goat and Ram has the best crust we've ever had. If you haven't tried Goat and Ram, try it, I guarantee you will love it and not be disappointed! read more

my Fiancé and I got super sick here .. The food handling skills were out the door as we watched the food preppers touch things that shouldn't be touched with their gloves without changing the gloves after returning to the food to handle. Mostly behind the bar to serve there own drinks using the spout the bartender uses after handling pours for customers drinking. Picking up trash around the place with same gloves.. just really bad food handling watching them be careleas about changing out there gloves or resanatizing when they returned To handle food. I guess we should have ran then would have been better than being deathly sick for 5 days after eating there. read more

The other reviews were totally right - the most amazing crust. Light and tasty - not too crunchy. Just delicious. Usually I won't eat all the crust but I ate every bite of their green and white pizza. My husband is from NY and very picky about pizza. He loves the pepperoni & sausage one. Big enough to split but we had leftovers which was what we wanted. The beer at Phantom was very good too. Friendly service all around. Easy parking on Main. We will be back! read more

The menu always includes the beloved classics – like cheese and pep & sausage – but for those craving something different, our specialty pizzas offer a fresh dose of creativity every 2 weeks.

History

Established in 2023.

The heart of Goat and Ram beats with the passion of its founders: Dan (the Goat) and his wife Morgan (the Ram). Their adventure began with a pivotal Christmas gift — an artisanal pizza book from Morgan. What started as a fun hobby quickly turned into an obsession. Leaning on his decade of experience in the culinary field, Dan spent 3 years and hundreds of iterations perfecting the crust he wanted people to experience. Once the dough was finally perfected, they bought a tiny 2 deck wood fired oven, borrowed a toy hauler from Uncle Junk, loaded it up with dough and went for it. After a couple years of doing pop-up events, the need for a traditional food truck was obvious. With more pizza came more demand and the space on the truck just wasn’t enough to keep up. In 2023 they opened a brick and mortar in a shared space concept with their friends at Phantom Fox Brewery in downtown Mesa. It’s the perfect match – pizza and beer.

I must admit, I couldn't locate this place until I pulled the Yelp app and noticed that it was tucked away inside the Phantom Fox. After driving around aimlessly, I finally parked and decided to explore on foot. It was then that I found this hidden gem. The vibe was laid back, and the best part was it wasn't packed with people. I ordered the $16 cheese pizza, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight when I savored it at home. The crust was perfectly fresh, and they were cheesy and satisfying.
