Wow. This place has amazing pizza! Came here with my family and we all agreed it's some of the best pizza we've had in a long time, from the dough to the perfectly cooked crust. We tried the pepperoni & sausage and the white P&S pizza, and both were insanely delicious. The pizza was both thick and light at the same time. We also ordered the house salad and... bomb is the only word. That spicy Italian dressing was straight fire! So good that we tried to get the recipe, but they keep it under lock and key. Can't blame them. BUT, they might package and sell it sometime in the near future. Highly recommend checking this spot out. It's located in downtown Mesa, so there's no parking right out front, but plenty nearby with a short walk. You order at the bar/front (no table service), but everything comes out fresh and fast. Clean space, good vibes, and food that absolutely delivers.

Pretty good little spot for pizza in DT Mesa. I met a group of friends to catch up. Good amount of seating and lots of drink options, if that's what you go for. I ordered the green + white which was a pesto pizza woth garlic and mozz. To my surprise, the garlic was raw. To be honest, I can't remember if this was specified on the menu or not but maybe a quick roast wouldn't hurt because raw garlic just steals the flavor show. I kept leftovers and reheated this the next day which made the cheese meltier and garlic more bearable. My friends got a pizza with maybe a shredded pork and chipotle raspberry sauce, plus pickled jalapenos. That was a flavor explosion and a really good balance of sweet and spicy. Overall pizzas were good and I would come back to check out new flavors.

I have been hearing great things about this bar for over a year. We finally tried it and we were not disappointed. The bar has a fun atmosphere. The bartender treated my husband to a free birthday beer. The pizza and drinks were great. Another great addition to downtown Mesa!

SO GOOD - just come here and order everything. I was here recently to meet a friend for dinner, and walking, it was definitely busy! They are sharing space with a brewery so when you order it will be right at the entrance on your right! We decided to share a pizza and got it half Pepperoni/Sausage and Bulgogi/Mushroom. We also shared the hummus appetizer! We were talking hot gossip and updating each other on the drama of our lives but it was really hard with HOW GOOD EVERYTHING IS. We literally had to take a break from talking to just enjoy the food. The hummus was actually really good, the pita was flaky, and vegetables were crisp! Pizza: OMG - I was a little upset we decided to split a pie because I would have gladly been greedy lol

Can pizza be a spiritual experience? I say yes lol. We aren't drinkers, but Goat and Ram is in the same space as a brewery. The space was large and had a very cool vibe. You had me at 2000s indie. I haven't had pizza in MONTHS. It's started making me not feel well. Unfortunately, it's one of my partners favorite foods. Before our vacation ended I wanted to find a pizza spot for us to have lunch. It's like I was touched by an Angel girl. Immediately upon walking in, we were greeted by the owner, who asked if we had ever been in. They gave us the rundown of their smaller menu and how everything is made by them (crust, the croutons on their salad is made from bread they made). I'm such a believer in doing a few things really well, and this place knocked my socks off. Not only fantastic, but also the first time pizza has not made me ill in months and months. The care they take for the ingredients and prep really shows. We shared the pepperoni and sausage and added the caramelized onions from another menu item. SO. GOOD. Just the right amount of everything. The cheese, the sauce, the meat, THE CRUST. Omg. Don't skip the cherry pepper jam. If they bottled and sold it I would put that shh on everything. 1000/10 thank you so much!

I'll keep it short and sweet-- this pizza is incredibly good. Goat & Ram used to be a food truck. I would usually see them in front of Chupacabra. Now they are a permanent part of Phantom Fox. I enjoy the rotating pizza flavors and have enjoyed it every single time. I really like their cheesy bread and hummus also. So good.

This visit was even better than the last. The cheese blend with the dollops of ricotta were so good. The dough is really what sets this pizza apart. It's so light and airy. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The best of everything in my opinion. Ordered online and walked down the street to pick it up. It was ready the minute I walked in. It's always a struggle not to eat the whole pizza in one sitting. I lost the battle this time lol.

Both my best friend and local pizza expert Wizard of Za recommended Goat & Ram pizza, so of course I had to try it. It's located inside of Phantom Fox Beer Company in downtown Mesa. They have plenty of tables as well as seats at the bar. There are a couple of TVs, so you can catch a game while enjoying some food and beer(s). I got there around 11:30am on a Sunday and was the first customer to order pizza. The whole place got really busy starting around noon. The food menu is small, 4 non-pizza options and 4 pizzas, which is great because I often get decision fatigue. I tried the Cheese pizza which contains three types of cheese - mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan. I loved how cheesy it was. I mean the cheese pull was perfect! The crust was slightly thin yet still strong enough to hold up the topping. I liked that the outer crust was airy and not dense. Their second standard pizza flavor is Italian & Sausage, then the other two are rotating flavors. They also have a variety of side sauces. I didn't try any, which I regret because the calabrian chili oil and habanero honey sound so good. I don't usually go to downtown Mesa, but I would definitely go back for more of this pizza!

I really, really like the food here. I'm lucky that it's right down the street from work, so it's a quick and easy lunch. The staff here is so nice. It's shared a doable with Phantom Fox Beer Company, but because It was the middle of my work day, no beer was purchased. We ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza and the hummus. I think the crust on the pizza at goat & ram is the best crust I've ever had. It's delicious! But, to tell you the truth, it's the jalapeno hummus with the bread (I'm guessing it's the amazing pizza dough, but I could be wrong), carrots, and cucumbers that's my favorite - - Yes even more than the pizza! I could eat that hummus every single day and be happy. This is one of those places that everybody has to try, so if you have not been here, go fast! You won't regret it!

We got the pepperoni and sausage pizza as well as the red pepper and artichoke pizza, and both were great! The real show stopper was the cheese toasty, which was incredible with the hot honey sauce. Definitely recommend!! One pizza can serve two people, but I reheated mine in the microwave the next day and it was still great! read more

I'm so happy for these guys. And also selfishly for myself. I live close to dt Mesa and was over the moon to hear they were getting a permanent spot at phantom fox. You can never go wrong with goat and ram. No matter what you get. Get all of it. And with the addition of appetizers and desserts (ever rotating) along with their weekly changing menu of novel pizzas, we as Mesa residents are blessed that they are here with us. And I'd like to humbly request making the jalapeno popper pizza a permanent fixture. You guys rock! read more

My husband and I decided to do a pizza tour this weekend to the places we haven't been yet in AZ. This was our first stop. Now we don't even want to continue the tour because this was so unbelievably amazing. This is hands down the best pizza we have ever had. And we are huge pizza people lol. If you imagine heaven being where the best pizza crust is and a halo of gold surrounding the crust...this is it. That combo of crunchy and chewy and the quality of the ingredients...its like the best thing I've ever tasted. And the sauces to dip the crust in OMG. The tomato sauce was Smokey and sweet. The sausage was seasoned perfectly. We sat there and tried to see if any of our other favorites could be bumped up by this and we couldn't do it. This is our number one! The service was great and the atmosphere was spot on being inside a brewery. Who doesn't love beer and pizza. Goat and Ram will be our go to now for pizza any day. Oh we also got the hummus and bread and the bread was on another level of delicious. Highly recommend that too! read more

Love this place. We first tried them when they had a truck outside of Chupacabra and I'm so happy to see them with their own dedicated spot now. Since they moved inside, the menu has expanded a bit. The spicy Italian salad dressing, curry cauliflower pizza, and mushroom mascarpone pizza are all standouts. read more

Very limited menu and the pizza was good. Unfortunately I thought that the music they were playing was kinda loud so having a conversation was a bit challenging. The restaurant shared their floor with a micro brewery with quite the selection. Server was very friendly and very quick. If I do go back I would ask for their out door seating. read more

Without any doubt, the best pizza we've had in the East Valley. The crust is almost like a croissant- light and airy, but held up to the cheese, sausage and pepperoni. And don't start on the smoked tomato sauce base! A pizza has 6 good sized slices-great for three peeps, or two with leftovers to carry out. There is NOTHING here not good! Service is counter order and pay, and they deliver to your table. They have salad, hummus, and munchies as well. Based inside Phantom Fox Brewery, which is a bonus with terrific beer. Parking can be a challenge, but it is worth looping the block to get a spot. read more

Goat & Ram is inside Phantom Fox Beer Company. There are 2 separate lines/registers for food and drinks. We went on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and it was pretty busy. We decided to order our food first. We were told it would be about 45 minutes before we got our food, which we appreciated the heads-up in case we didn't want to wait. We ordered the pepperoni and sausage pizza. There are plenty of tables and bar seating inside, but there is outside seating as well. We decided to sit outside. You are given a number to place on the table. Once your food is ready, it's brought to the table. The pizza is big enough to share between two people. The pizza was delicious! The crust was not too thick or thin. They do not skimp on the toppings. We also got a side of ranch. I would go back just for the ranch. Although there isn't much of a table service, the gentleman at the register was very friendly, and so was the server that brought the food and cleaned up after we were done. The menu is not extensive, but I can't wait to go back and try some other pizzas. If you haven't been here, I recommend you do. You will not be disappointed. read more

This place is on the newer side and so so happy it's here in downtown Mesa! They have different weekly rotations of pizza specials (chile relleno pizza goes CRAZY), and their hummus is the perfect fresh side dish with some kick to it. Their salad is also a liiiitle spicy with their house dressing which I love. Have been going once (or even twice) a week since I tried them a few months back. Quick service and respectful staff who are all quite busy and in the zone most times I'm there! Also...I'm a ranch snob and theirs is a great one to dip your pizza crust in if you're into that kinda thing. read more

I've been getting pizza from their food truck for a few years, so I was definitely excited to see them get a brick and mortar location inside Phantom Fox brewing. This is some of my favorite pizza anywhere. They have a couple pies that are always on the menu (cheese; and a meat), and they rotate/change the other two regularly. Try them all. They have a talent for mixing and matching flavors and quality ingredients that I wouldn't think would go together, and for being inventive. My wife's favorite is the jalapeno popper; we look forward to when that comes back. My personal favorite may be a cauliflower and green olives that they did on the food truck a while ago. But they're all great. Crust is excellent: crispy and crunchy outside, and softer inside. And that crust stands up; it's still tasty and crunchy later when it's cold, or if you take home leftovers, toss in the oven or toaster oven and it crisps back up. read more

First time coming here. It's self seating, and you order beers directly from the bar and food directly from the pizza counter. We ordered two beers and two pizzas, the Red Goat and the Pepperoni and Sausage. We also ordered ranch, cherry pepper relish, and honey habanero. Everything was amazing. We were craving some pizza and found out that Mike's was closed on Mondays. So upon googling we found this hidden gem nestled in the Phantom Fox Brewery just around the corner and it is a unique pizza of its own! I would say a mix between Neapolitan/wood fire and hand toss? The crust is incredible though, airy, chewy with a buttery crunch. MMMM my mouth is watering writing out this post! We ordered the potato & bacon which should definitely become a permanent item on their menu but they said it was a special that was ending that day. I wish I had gotten a picture but we were too excited to eat. We didn't get to meet the owner but Eric provided exceptional service. Great vibes in this place. We can't wait to come back! read more

Their adventure began with a pivotal Christmas gift — an artisanal pizza book from Morgan. What started as a fun hobby quickly turned into an obsession. Leaning on his decade of experience in the culinary field, Dan spent 3 years and hundreds of iterations perfecting the crust he wanted people to experience. Once the dough was finally perfected, they bought a tiny 2 deck wood fired oven, borrowed a toy hauler from Uncle Junk, loaded it up with dough and went for it. After a couple years of doing pop-up events, the need for a traditional food truck was obvious. With more pizza came more demand and the space on the truck just wasn’t enough to keep up. In 2023 they opened a brick and mortar in a shared space concept with their friends at Phantom Fox Brewery in downtown Mesa. It’s the perfect match – pizza and beer.

When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious. But basic things like Parmesan and pepper weren't offered. I had to flag someone down to ask. And even though we'd just received our food, the lights on the patio were turned off while we were eating, and we were brought a box very quickly, which felt like a not-so-subtle hint to leave. Overall, the food was good, but the customer service and atmosphere really took away from what should have been a nice birthday dinner for my daughter. Very disappointing experience.

I must admit, I couldn't locate this place until I pulled the Yelp app and noticed that it was tucked away inside the Phantom Fox. After driving around aimlessly, I finally parked and decided to explore on foot. It was then that I found this hidden gem. The vibe was laid back, and the best part was it wasn't packed with people. I ordered the $16 cheese pizza, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight when I savored it at home. The crust was perfectly fresh, and they were cheesy and satisfying.
