My garage door opener got jammed from pond netting that accidentally got wrapped in the cable as it was on a shelf near the track. It caused the door to also go off balance. I called Steven and he was able to come that afternoon that worked for my schedule. He had it repaired and rebalanced quickly. His pricing was very reasonable. Excellent, friendly service with integrity. Old school work ethic that is rare these days. Highly recommend. read more

We finally fixed the small dent in our garage by having our top panel replaced. I called several different garage repair companies around the area but "Go To Garage Doors" had the lowest quote!!! I was really pleased with how quick he was able to fix it and he was very kind and responsive as well. I know now who to call if we have garage troubles. I would totally recommend their services!! read more

Bottom line - fast, responsive, and excellent service at a very fair price. Would absolutely call again and highly recommend! Steven was quick to respond to my yelp service inquiry and was the only provider to call me instead of sending a message - a major plus when the issue was a little too complicated for SMS. He was honest about being able to repair the existing opener, but recommended a full replacement given the age and problems I was having. He answered all of my questions on the garage door openers he planned to install and was flexible in scheduling around my travel / holiday constraints. He arrived early on a Saturday (no extra charge) and got right to work. After spotting an issue with the existing springs, he went to TWO separate stores for the required parts in order to replace them. This was outside the scope of the original job and I really appreciated his dedication to do things the right way, rather than wait for something to go wrong in the future. Having WiFi capability to open, close, and monitor the status of the garage doors from anywhere is awesome. The new openers are super quiet, work flawlessly, and should there be any issues in the future, I'm confident Steven would be able to resolve. He even gave me maintenance tips that may prevent him from getting service calls down the road, which only added to my confidence is his work. Thanks very much! Happy customer in North Bethesda - don't hesitate to give him a call with your toughest garage door needs. read more

I could not unlock the lock on my manual garage door opener, so was unable to gain access to my car. After checking out garage door repair companies on Yelp, I came across Go To Garage Doors, which received several 5-star reviews. I called, and Steve, the owner, responded promptly. It was late in the day, but he offered to come out immediately, since I had to drive to an early afternoon appointment the next day. I opted for the next morning. Steve arrived on time, assessed the problem, and was able to repair the very old lock mechanism without having to remove it entirely, which would have then necessitated my calling a locksmith to replace the lock. After he repaired the lock, he took the time to examine the rest of the system, oiled the parts that needed it and gave me detailed advice on how to avoid any future lock problems. He did all that, and still only charged me his minimal fee for a housecall. Steve is skilled, professional, and his fees reasonable. And, I got to my appointment on time. I highly recommend Go To Garage Doors! read more

I highly recommend Mr. Steven Cox for garage door services. He is very responsive. I initiated contact to him four times and every time he responded within in 15 minutes. This is a very important factor to consider when I hire a contractor. He is also very knowledgeable and pay attention to details. He always explain things clearly and thoroughly. He is the only contractor told me that I need a different top sectional panel when shopping garage doors due to the height of my garage. Other contractors failed to recognize this. He would do extra work around garage door installation to make customer happy. When he replacing my doors, he also replaced track, torsion, and decoration seal. Although the decoration seal is not part of the scope, but he is willing to replace it just to make home owner happy. He explains warranties clearly, so homeowner has knowledge when unfortunate happens. He is not the cheapest bidder, but he is a competitive bidder on the low cost side. What I learned when looking for contractor, is that do not go with the lowest bid. Quality work cannot be the cheapest. Cheapest bidder will not produce quality work for the long run. He is willing to match towards the lower side of the competitor with a reasonable price and extra work. His job is thorough and excellent. I am a picky person, but I can hardly find any issue with his work. I will stay with him for any future garage door and opener related jobs. read more
