David was great to work with! We needed a new chain and motor for our garage door opener. It was really easy to set up an appointment and David came out and did it very quickly for a very reasonable price. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Last night after 7 pm when opening my garage door, the operating bracket broke from the wall bracing panel and the door was inoperable. I reached out through Yelp AI and got connected with Garage Improvements and they contacted me with 5 minutes! I sent pictures and arranged for an appointment the next morning (Saturday) at 9 am. I received an ETA text and David arrived at approximately 8:30 am. David was so very professional, polite and promptly went to work to fix the problem. He also suggested a full door inspection and I asked for lubrication to make the door quieter. All was done and all works perfectly now. I no longer wake the neighborhood opening my noisy garage door and am so thankful. This company is highly recommended by me and I will use their services in the future as needed. Perfect service from start to finish and pricing is extremely reasonable. Note: Their profile states that they service the Arlington area, but please know that they service Woodbridge, Stafford areas as well. Give them a call! I'm so glad that I did! read more

My garage door started malfunctioning in the morning and David was at my house to fix it by 3 PM that same day. He tried a cheaper fix initially, and when that didn't work, recommended replacement of the spring system, which did the job. He was very clear and concise and did not pressure or try to upsell me. Highly recommend. read more

Garage Improvements - New torsion spring installed by David. - Garage Door Services Near Me

As a real estate professional, I have high standards for contractors, and David exceeded them all. I found him on Yelp to replace a 30-year-old garage door in Rockville MD, and the experience was top-notch from start to finish. From the initial phone call to the final installation, his communication was excellent and his pricing was very competitive. I highly recommend his services for anyone looking for quality work and a fair price read more

Our older garage door would not close all the way. David came to assess the issue quickly. He was helpful in explaining why a full garage door replacement was needed, and a repair would not last (even though another business told us they could do a repair based on a photograph of the problem). He was honest about availability/timeframes for a replacement. The replacement has more insulation than our original garage door and we were happy with the end result. read more

David came out within an hour and charged a reasonable price to reprogram my garage and let me know how to prevent the issue in the future.

Very professional with competitive pricing. They were also able to come over the very next day!

Very fast response and reasonable rates. Fixed my garage very quickly and didn't try to upsell me for stuff I didn't need.

They responded quickly to my request and had a technician to my house the next morning. Great job.

Amazing service and timing. I did a Yelp quote request for numerous businesses and this one responded quickly and with pricing in the average range I saw for other companies. The best part was they were able to come out almost immediately (about 3 hours from when I confirmed) as I believe it is a 24/7 service. My garage door cable snapped and snagged on the door, making me unable to exit without help. They were friendly and able to quickly fix my cable, explain the differences between a single and dual, as well as talk me through other parts (like the age of our door opener equipment) to make sure I understood all parts for today as well as future items for me to think about. I definitely recommend this company for your garage door needs. read more

I reached out to a few businesses via yelp to replace my two garage door openers and springs. I received a response within 15 minutes and was able to make an appointment for the next day. They showed up on time, completed the work quickly, identified some optional upgrades, and once completed went over basic maintenance actions I should perform. Prices were better than competetor's (I had 2 other estimates). Very happy I chose this company and definitely would recommend. read more

Thanks to Yelp I was able to get competitive pricing for my minor garage door repair. I called several different companies but ultimately ended with Garage Improvements because of cost, warranty, and customer service with explaining exactly what I needed. I sent a few pictures and like that we were finished. My garage door is working, and I have a warranty on the repair. Did I mention Garage Improvements came the next day early in the morning... read more

Of the several businesses I contacted through Yelp, David was the only one who answered with a reply mentioning my specific problem and what could be done to fix it. He arrived later in the day, the issue with my garage door was more severe but was able to handle the job right then and there. Everything was completed quickly, efficiently, with a lot of care. Now this is the model for a truly "honest" business! I put out a a request for estimates on Yelp's search engine re: some garage sensor issues. What stood out about Garage Improvements from the rest of the responses I received is that the owner, David, asked for details about the issues and then sent me a DIY YouTube video link for me to try before spending money on a repair that I might not even need. He didn't push any fees or insist on seeing it in person to assess for a fee first... in fact, if I were need to replace the sensors, he also gave the best all-in price. I've bookmarked this business to not only use in the future, but to also recommend to neighbors as well. Thanks for being one of the "good guys" David... we need more business owners like you in our communities! read more

Fast, quality service! Our garage door broke on a Saturday, and other repair services would not come until Monday. I called David and he was able to come within the hour to repair it. He offered us the option of an upgraded opener (two springs instead of one) for a reasonable price, and also lubricated the moving parts as part of the service. No hidden charges. I would definitely use this service again. read more
