This company was sent to my home via Home Depot to install a new garage door opener, and I very quickly had issues with the door jamming and not closing properly. I reached out to the company by phone several times, and the answers were seemingly helpful -- I would have my information taken down and assured that someone would be in touch. But that just continued to happen, as I never received a callback and would go through same loop every time I contacted them again. They simply ghosted me, and never had any indication that they had been to my home or even received the previous calls. I finally had the issue settled by a more reputable and responsible installer who showed me the ways that their poor installation cause the door to jam on the pulley system. This company did an absolute trash job of an installation on our rolling steel garage door during a flip. It lasted 1.5 years, before the door jammed and wouldn't close--it got stuck crookedly open. We called them to ask them to come out and fix it, and they had no sense of urgency or regard to the matter. Every time it was, "Maybe today..." or "We'll see, maybe tomorrow." Who the hell does business like this?? Fast-forward, we called another company, who proceeded to tell us a bolt in the door had just completely flown off. The structural integrity of the door was totally compromised, and the guardrails were totally warped. I'm 9 months pregnant without reliable access to our car, and everyone at Mr. Doors is completely apathetic to their shit installation of a cheap door that lasted 1.5 years and then completely broke. We have had at least one neighbor tell us they had similar issues with their door that was installed by this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! They do not have one redeeming factor about them, and it's a matter of time before you will seriously regret giving your business to them. read more

After talking to two different local garage door repair companies, I learned that I was going to pay triple what Mr Doors charged me. The technician came out within an hour after I called. The technician explained what he was going to do to fix my problem and told me how much before he even started the work. He also fixed some safety-related issues to ensure my garage was safe to enter. I would recommend Mr Doors over any other garage repair firm that claims it does work in the Lorton area (but really has subcontractors from DC and Maryland). The technician was on time -- actually, early -- and called about 15 minutes before he arrived. He took care of everything quickly and efficiently. No shortcuts (though we did jokingly talk about using the old wiring). Our special-needs son sat watching him, and Hernan interacted well and appropriately with him. I have had 6 or more years of experience working with Carlos and knew exactly who to call: I had a garage door emergency as the one of the retraction springs broke immediately after both cars were garaged at the end of the workday. Carlos, fresh off of a 12-hour or more drive from the end of his vacation, willingly responded within 2 hrs. They came today at the appointed time and diagnosed the problem right away, but did not have the part necessary to fix it. They would not be able to return for four days. Called Mr. Doors based on a recommedation. They did a phenomenal job! BACKGROUND: Needed some work done on my garage after a car accident. The workers repairing the damage had to remove the door to complete the job which is reasonable. Unfortunately, they told me they only remove garage doors, they don't reinstall them. WTF!! EXPERIENCE: Called Mr. Doors (specifically Carlos S.) and explained the situation. I texted Carlos my information and not only were his guys available THAT DAY, they were more than flexible with my schedule based on the work being done at my house. The Mr. Doors crew arrived the very next afternoon and within an hour of arriving, my garage door was reassembled, oiled, and the sensor was realigned. COST: Labor only, $395, and well worth it. CONCLUSION: Mr. Doors not only came through for me in a pinch, they didn't take advantage of me on the price and they were super efficient.
