    Ordered take out and it was good. The lady at the counter was very nice and efficient. Cute place . Ordered cacio Pepe and vodka gnocchi with chicken . Both were great but I don't think I got vodka sauce since it was white too . My matcha latte was delicious !

    Upon entering, we were greeted by the cashier and the place functions like a takeout place . You go and order first and get your food . You could either dine in or take out . Just FYI , they have limited seats so if its busy you might have to wait . The place is new so it was very neat and clean . We ordered gnocchi pomodoro and basil pesto . The tomato sauce was perfect . I loved it . I had it topped with cheese and red pepper which made it even more tastier . The other dish we ordered was basil pesto we topped it with only cheese and it was equally delicious not too heavy not too light pesto . It was just perfect . The portion and price was also good and worth it. For the drink , we got tiramisu latte . It was very creamy , rich and delicious. Make sure to swirl it before you take a sip. Have half of the cream with the ladyfinger and mix the remaining cream with the coffee so that its not too sweet . Really loved this place , will be visiting soon again.

    I had to do a double take when I saw this place open up, thought I was misreading! These quick, to-go gnocchi spots are typically in Manhattan, so it was such a nice and unexpected surprise to see one pop up right here in Forest Hills. I went today (Friday) around 6pm and ordered right away and had our food in like 10 minutes max. I got the potato gnocchi with crushed red pepper, fresh basil, and added chicken cutlet. My goodness... one of the best gnocchis I've ever had. And I'm not even a gnocchi girl like that! Chicken cutlet was perfect and crispy too. The pesto was super flavorful, slightly saltier than I usually go for but still really, really good. My fiancé got the potato gnocchi with tomato sauce and chicken meatballs, plus breadcrumbs on top, alsoo delish. I LOVE that you can customize with toppings. Burrata is 100% happening next time. Overall, the vibe is cute, staff is friendly, and the food is so solid, and it's just refreshing to see something like this open in Forest Hills. Hope they get all the love because they deserve it!

    Cuisine: 7 Service: 10 Decor: 7 Value: 6 Overall: 7 This new tiny specialty shop on Austin Street is only offering gnocchi, so come if you love that denser texture for your pasta with a good chew. I liked that the menu is small and simple. Pick from their three premium predetermined combinations, or build your own gnocchi dish. A few protein add-ons, salad, and dessert options. We had a group of four people, hence we tried nearly everything. Let's first talk about the star of the show, the pasta. I felt that the gnocchi was good, not great. If I were to choose, I think the ricotta spinach gnocchi was lighter and fluffier than the potato gnocchi, hence my preference. We didn't bother trying the gluten-free. We did two build your own pastas. I think the better sauce was the pesto, which had a good flavor, though I would definitely add the grated Parmigiano Reggiano for a zing. On the other hand, the pomodoro sauce was lacking in that robust taste we were looking for. We also ordered the Porcini Truffle Cream Gnocchi, which was my second favorite out of the three. As for proteins to add onto the pastas, the shrimps (5) were poached perfectly. The chicken & beef meatballs were pretty good too. The most popular chicken cutlet was actually over fried, but the flavor was quite decent. This review would not be complete without mentioning our wonderful server Marcella, who worked the cash register and three tables by herself with a smile. She was extremely friendly and helpful. I almost left the restaurant without our Tiramisu that was sitting in the fridge. Marcella was alert enough to immediately reminded me as we walked out of the restaurant and even added a free cannoli. If the owner of Gnocchi Bella is reading this, she is your biggest asset besides quality food. For the price, I don't see myself going back regularly. However, I may go back for their premium Pesto Alfredo because I think the creaminess of the cheese might work really well with the pesto. Good luck to this establishment on finding success.

    Just tried this place for the first time for lunch. Got the potato gnocchi with pomodoro sauce, basil, and shredded Parmigiano-Reggiano. Added a chicken cutlet to the top. Taste wise it was fresh, gnocci was cooked well, not too dense, and the chicken cutlet was delicious, cooked exactly how I asked, well done. It was crispy and perfectly breaded. Staff was very friendly as well. Only criticism is that it's a bit on the pricey side, especially the specialty flavors. You could walk out of there with a $20+ lunch. For the cost, you should be able to add more than two toppings. Especially when one of the toppings is just a spice!

    Went to try the gnocchi. I ordered a potato gnocchi with pomodoro sauce, fresh basil and Parmesan plus a chicken cutlet. My friend ordered hers with shrimp. The gnocchi was denser than I hoped. The chicken cutlet was super thin so it was dry. Could've had more basil for flavor. I was full after eating half my order. I was wondering if the spinach and ricotta gnocchi would be lighter. Our server didn't know but the lady seated next us said - Yes it is. She had tried her daughter's potato gnocchi so she could tell the difference. Next time I'll give that a try. The server was friendly with taking our orders and brought us cups of ice water while we waited for our food. When we were done, she asked if we wanted individual bags or just one. Since our bowls were takeout cardboard with plastic lids, she knew when we were done. There are three small bistro tables to eat in. The little lamp on the table added some ambience. LOL I'll give them another try.

    New spot that just opened a few days ago--so far so good. You get to mix and match the type of gnocchi (they have traditional and gluten free cauliflower), sauce, and toppings. I had the potato gnocchi with basil pesto, bruschetta, parmigiano reggiano and chicken cutlet. They could've added more bruschetta in my opinion but everything was really flavorful and the chicken was cooked really well. It would've been nice if they offered some bread with it (might as well go all out with the carbs if you're there) to sop up some of the extra sauce. I'm curious to see how well they'll do since it's a very niche spot with a small menu and will depend pretty heavily on takeout since there's very little seating there. However, I'd definitely come back, and if you're a gnocchi fan in general, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

    The food here is really damn good for a hole in the wall. Gnocchi is made in house locally. The sauces are really good. The gnocchi is darn good. Good enough that I'll be back even though parking in this area is ducking terrible. But this food is worth the headache of looking for parking. If you don't drive and take the train or bus here, it'll definitely be worth it. Only downside of this place is there are not enough tables but the food is in a good package and can travel well for take out. Would recommend.

    So thankful and happy this place is GOOD! Beautiful interior, friendly staff, and most importantly delicious and affordable food!! I was very full after my meal: potato gnocchi with pesto, breadcrumbs , basil and chicken cutlet - for $20!!! I recently had a very expensive gnocchi dish at a restaurant in LIC that was half the size and almost double the price and nowhere near as good. The chicken was perfection - tender on the inside and crispy on the outside- next time I might get 2 pieces cuz it was that good. Canoli also yummy! Will 1000% be back on the regular!

    I absolutely love gnocchi Bella the sauce is homemade and so flavorful it's my go to spot whenever I'm in Queens! Also, the Matcha is exceptional and even the lattes are amazing. I recommend the tiramisu latte!!

    Dangerously good. Filling food. I got two meals out of my gnocchi and chicken cutlet. The chicken cutlet was to die for! The gnocchi is delicious and I will definitely be back.

Gone is the uniqueness and in its place are generic white tablecloths and a conservative color scheme. Then, the mixed drink that was brought as a replacement, which at least looked correct, didn't taste correct. Other reviewers have noted this issue as well, and for $17.00 it should have been exemplary! The server seemed to be limited to a dialogue of "cheese or pepper?". DISHES: We had the tuna tartar and Tagliatelli specials as well as the Apple Salad and the Penne with Asparagus "a la vodka". The tuna tartar had an "off taste". The Tagliatelli was OK. The two pasta dishes were served in round plates that looked unique but weren't appropriate for the pasta. The Apple Salad was way overly dressed and the dressing overpowered any flavor that the ingredients may have had. There were very few Apple Slices as well. Dessert was the Cream Brulee which was OK but, again served in a plate that was more appropriate for Flan. Overall, Il Poeta is worth visiting if you plan to be in area but I would no longer go out of my way to dine there.

Being a poor kid in Junior High School working for a mere $3.75/hr across the street at the corner Baskin Robins (RIP) did not give me the opportunity for quite some time. Anyway, fast forward 5 years and I finally had the chance with a few friends to experience what many called the best pizza in Queens, and I was very impressed. This became my regular "fancy" pizza shop of choice. What I loved most about it was the crispy and charred thin crust. It adds so much to the overall taste and enjoyment. The sauce was deliciously tangy and the fresh mozzarella made it a level above everything else in the neighborhood. One word of warning, the pizza could get a little soggy in the center if too many toppings are ordered. I usually choose none or no more than two. Also noteworthy is their yummy calzones. My personal favorite combination is sausage and spinach. Mixed with all that oozing ricotta and dipped in some tomato sauce, that is one great bite. Lastly, I like most of their salads too. Their food has been a staple in my diet for most of my adult life. Decades go by, and out of nowhere, I hear the news that Nick's had burned down. What a loss for our community! What a loss personally! Thankfully, they are back and feeling every bit like the original. Food is as good as before, while the decor and service has always been on point. Though not my favorite pizza in NYC, or even Queens, it does hold a spot in my rotation.

While that may rank as a relatively mid-tier title by NYC standards, as the neighborhood restaurant average is sadly and shockingly low, especially considering its location in the literally center Queens, this is nonetheless a very special neighborhood treasure, befitting it's stalwart status at now over 30 years of age. Classic Italian American with some New American flourishes, the place stays consistent and honors its tradition while simultaneously managing to keep things fresh and staying up with the times. The pizzas are well-executed and make great use of the gorgeous wood burning oven, but for me it's almost impossible to order anything else but my go-to order, one of the house specialties the classic Cavatelli with broccoli raab and some particularly pungent hot Italian sausage. A modern day classic in the cannon, finding decent versions around the city is tougher than one might imagine, particularly in my experiences in this borough. The version here, served like the rest of the offerings in an extremely generous portion that usually yields some delicious leftovers to take home, is a strong contender for the best in the borough title. Also of particular note is the exemplary super-thin and savory chicken parm, served in the previous era in various forms including with spaghetti and broccoli, as well as with risotto, currently served smothered with a spicy vodka sauce and paired with rigatoni. I've only recently became aquatinted with the rich and unctuous dry-aged burger, served simply and unadorned save for American and sharp raw union, on a classic and proper sesame seed bun, it's a stealth under-the radar competitor for the best burger in the hood nod with previous title-holder Dirty-Pierres. The expansive, two-room space, an ideal setting for the many private events and family gatherings that regularly occur here is aptly bright and inviting with the aforementioned pizza oven serving as its centerpiece. I generally sit at the bar which offers ample opportunity to converse with the top-notch staff, just as genial and affable as you would hope to find in such a longtime neighborhood institution, as well as the fellow patrons, who are, more often then not, you guessed it, longtime local resident regulars.

Wish they also had slightly better bread overall. The bread for the table that the brought out in the beginning was just kind of a regular blah baguette, toasted with garlic butter. I'm a fan of the fresh bread, but plain with just garlic or oil on the side. Much better option overall. We ordered 2 dishes of the Fish (Sole) and I had the Salmon. While the salmon was a nice piece, the mustard sauce kinda didn't hit the spot. The veggies were just okay (they come on the side), but the eggplant that comes with the dish wasn't too great either. Deserts were just okay, they didn't taste very fresh, unfortunately. My tiramisu was as soggy as it could get, which made me think it definitely wasn't made fresh / too recently. With 2 glasses of wine and a virgin drink + a 20% tip, the $88 per person price tag just couldn't be justified by the quality of the food, unfortunately. In any case, my mom still raved about this experience, was just happy to share the memory of the night with us and I kept answering her and nodding, just to make sure that I was as happy as she was with the food. Probably won't be returning any time soon.
