What an interesting brick oven spot. Didn't have this on my bingo card for 2026- but since I was at an event 2 blocks away and needed a snack I popped in. The place was clean, spacious and empty aside from the 3 workers inside. I wondered where all the Saturday pizza lovers were until I saw the actual pizza. It was small almost personal sized maybe 6 inches with minimal toppings. I thought why are they selling focaccia and calling it pizza. Despite that I tried it for $4. It wasn't bad but it wasn't like sauce covered bread with cheese so there also that. I'm open minded and like to try new things but I do not know if I would recommend this. I would prefer a bigger heartier slice of New York slice pizza that you fold in half and have to dab the grease off of. This wasn't it. I came here with my cousin and we got one pasta dish and one pizza. The pasta was Puglia Love (orecchiette, sausage, broccoli rabe, pecorino) was full of flavor though the broccoli rabe was cut into small enough pieces that we had to dig for them, and there could have been more sausage. We also had to look for the sausage since they were small pieces. Having slightly larger pieces would have been nice, but at the end the day, we cared about food in our stomachs. The pizza we ordered was hipsteroni (tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, spicy honey) though we didn't taste the spicy honey. We were hungry and didn't care enough to send it back since we were fine eating a regular pepperoni pizza. Every time I've been here, it's closer to closing time and I can tell the staff all work hard, so kudos to them for making sure the quality is always there. read more

We stopped here for dinner on the way to jfk airport one night. They happened to have had a special that day by chance that we were able to take advantage of. Basically buy one pizza get one free. Great deal. The pizzas were tasty and the interior was cute. The owner was our server I believe, and she was very kind. Would recommend this place to everyone! read more

Empty at 7pm on a Friday night. Super small pour of montepulciano for $13. Margherita pizza was good. A bit soft in the center but crust is tasty. Meatballs were pretty small too. But tasted good in a bowl of sauce with two pieces of bread. One toasted, one not. All in all it's good but average. Too many great spots making pizza these days in Queens. This is Salsa's second location, with the first being in busy Green Point. Not sure how they found their way to such a quiet neighborhood. Not complaining. For a pizza lover like myself, I'm happier than a clam. It's just a ten minute walk from my house. During its grand opening week from March 31st to April 6th, they are offering Buy One Get One on Margherita and Pepperoni pizzas. We got both tonight and they were amazing! As I took each bite, my head kept repeating, "Finally! Thank you!" Why? Because I have a legitimate Neapolitan pizza shop in my neighborhood. That wonderfully chewy crust, with a refreshing tomato sauce, and ooey gooey cheese blends beautifully together. Fyi, these are large 12 inch pies, so quite substantial for the price. We also had the Meatballs, which was a bit firmer than my preference, but the tomato sauce was zesty and delicious. The Orecchiette Pesto was enjoyable too, with perfectly al dente pasta tossed in a creamy sauce, walnuts pieces and a whole burrata. Once again, the portion size was generous and the price is very reasonable. I met the owner Mike, who said that his favorite pie is the Sud Italia, so I will try that another time. In the meantime, you might find me back here before the BOGO is over on Sunday. We have been here twice now. Once on a Monday for the 10 dollar margherita pie and on a Tuesday for buy a pizza get one for 5. Its an amazing deal for such good pizza. We drove here for these pies coz I heard about this Neapolitan style pizza place opening, and I personally prefer Neapolitan to New York style pizza (no hate). We got Margherita pizza and we were not disappointed - first of all, the dough is right. That's the most important thing for me, though some other places have a more flavorful dough that smells wonderful, this one got the texture right. The flavor's also good - the sauce isn't too sweet, which is another plus for me. We got takeout, so perhaps because of that the middle part of the pizza was soggy after being in the box. I suggest they strain the cheese (if they haven't already), and also let the pizza sit on a wire rack for 5 minutes before putting it in the box. All in all it's a good pie - and we'll be back for more! read more

Amazing. I have never been the biggest neapolitan pizza fan. I don't disagree with a big name pizza reviewer who thinks they are mostly all the same. That wasn't the case here, there was something special about this pizza. The pizza was light and airy but the dough had a lot of texture and taste to it. The ingredients were fresh. The pizza's aren't giant but they definitely aren't small. We tried both the margarita and the pepperoni. We can't wait to come back and try others. In addition to pizza we tried the meatball app. Two meatballs again not giant but wow these were amazing. These might have been the best meatballs I've had in a restaurant. Simple but the texture was perfect. Tip if you get the meatballs. Keep the sauce to dip your pizza crust into. You pay when you order It was a little weird paying before eating at a sit down place but I liked just leaving when we were done. read more

**GLUTEN FREE** I called to confirm the gluten free crust was not cauliflower which I hate. Happy to find out they actually make gluten free dough and its legit pizza. Not too many of them around!! I ordered at 4pm on a monday, online, and living about a mile away I had the delivery in 30 minutes! Some flash back to the past stuff right there, super fast. The Pizza arrived warm (obv) and I was pleasantly surprised at the appearance. Gotta take delivery into consideration, this type of pizza is like art, you need to dine in to get the best quality. Still, this was fantastic. A little soggy, but you gotta know that putting a steaming hot pizza in a box is gonna do that literally EVERY TIME. So the pizza critique is simply, I loved it. If you long for the traditional wood fired type pizza but unfortunately are gluten intolerant, Salsa Pizza (Rego Park) has set the bar extremely high. Ordered two pies and bruschetta for pickup. Arrived and they seemed to have forgotten to make the bruschetta. They hastily put two pieces of oily, untoasted bread in some foil with a cup of tomatoes and had the gall to charge $7 for it. By the time they got it to me the pizzas were beyond soggy.
