The sales rep, Joe, informed me the previous work was not good or up to code and explained the problem and what they would to do fix it. This included demolishing the old chimney and replacing it, as well as putting in a new liner. They also did work in the basement to replace cracking seals and ducts. The house was left in truly appalling condition. The cleaning crew worked and worked and worked so hard and so long I was telling them to stop. They made a filthy house fresh and pleasant again. I would not have thought it could be restored to such a fresh condition. The next job was replacing the old casement windows which were rotted wood frames in crumbly 1950s cement. They not only repaired the window foundation area but other foundation ugly spots as well and put in beautiful new sturdy basement sliding windows. They also re-dug and replaced the adjoining window wells which were undoubtedly the original wells and were falling apart. Regraded the foundation area around the wells and reseeded without being asked. While they were in the basement doing the windows they cleaned a bunch of that up too so it's no longer a horror movie waiting to be filmed down there. Everything they did was simply above and beyond. Wesley Vercosa has returned my many questions and concerns with lots of information and smiles, bless him. My retired husband worked in construction for many years and he is happy and impressed with the work. We are planning more work with them already. Warning! We used 3g Chimney at the end of last season to clean flue for our wood stove insert. Long…read morestory short, first burn this year we had a chimney fire. Alex, the same employee of 3g as last year came out to inspect. He apologized and said he missed the top of our chimney where we had a creosote build up. Turns out he didn't go on our roof last year! Alex chiseled the creosote out (firemen told us it was 99% clogged) and Alex said the owner of 3g would be in touch about the needed repairs. Despite calls, 3g never came back. Our stove is disconnected and damaged. So is the top of the chimney. While we are fortunate not to have lost our lives, pets or house, this is absolutely unacceptable. We will be making an insurance claim at this point and I expect them to pursue 3g for damages.
