The chimney rebuild was excellent. I had a major leak which suddenly appeared a few weeks ago. I needed the repair immediately and many contractors refused the job due to previous commitments. Ed called back and I pleaded with him to see if he could fit me in. The job came out better than expected. read more

We had our ugly fire place resurfaced to a clean white face and electric insert. The insert has multiple colors and you can turn the heat on or off. The quality of work was amazing. The cost of the project was very reasonable. The project manager was easy to work with and did follow up visits or calls. He stayed with the project throughout. I would highly recommend Creative Masonry company. Thank you, we love it. read more

What a way for management to respond to a complaint. There was never a point where other services were discussed as an option, as I would have taken that route IF he had taken the time to come out and physically look at the home and what truly needed to be done if that was the case. Your service technician as soon as I explained the problem *this is what the majority of this 15 minute call was about* he went straight to excavating and said any other way would not fix it. Pricing was mentioned right after the problem was discussed. As I mentioned in my original review at no point did i never had an issue with pricing, the service technician REFUSED to come and view my property and the issues prior to giving me any form of quote to make sure what he was suggesting for repair was what was actually needed. THIS is why I rated this company what I did in the original review as well as why we chose to go elsewhere for a price that was higher but at least they came and viewed the damage first before making an assessment. I would also wonder how an assessment of my call was done with your technician when he called me from a cell phone and no one ever stated a call was recorded. read more

If a TEN-star rating was available in Yelp, my husband & I would select it for Creative Masonry without hesitation. Ed & his crew pinch-hit for us yesterday, when another concrete contractor to whom we were referred completely flaked out on us. Creative's team was responsive, helpful, courteous, professional & efficient, & did high-quality work for a reasonable price. We could not be more happy - THANK YOU a million times over! read more

Since my review of Creative chimney, I have had multiple discussions with Ed, the owner. While my experience was as described, Ed did try and is trying to make amends. I appreciate that he does honor the customer relationship and he is trying to improve my experience. I greatly appreciate that he is working to apologize for what happened and to do the right thing. So, I am writing this to let people know that while things did happen, Ed is trying to do the right thing and improve the relationship. I respect and honor that. I would ask that you, then, give them an opportunity to show you that they care about you as a customer and will do the right thing for you as well. read more

We had a chimney lead and spoke with Ed, who had a technician(s) come out and fix it. As it's on the roof, I really have no idea what they did because I couldn't see it. I was promised an email receipt and pictures of the repair. I didn't receive them. I called and spoke with the rep at the company several times. Still no response. Spoke with Ed, said he's get it to me that night; he didn't. So I've spent over $900, it seem to have been a good repair but I don't really know (we haven't had the internal cosmetic damage repaired yet, so I wouldn't know if there is new leakage), and I have no evidence of what was done other than a cancelled check. They were prompt, but I really have no idea if/what was done and no paperwork. A rather disgruntled about it. read more

I contacted Ed of Creative Masonry and Chimney for an estimate for a chimney repair. My house had just sold and some chimney issues were discovered during inspection and needed correction prior to closing. Ed came out the next day and provided me with a competive quote and promised his guys would get the work done in time for closing. Sure enough a few days later his crew pulled in and repairs were underway. His crew was polite and professional and got the job done quickly. I am pleased with their work and will use them again without hesitation. read more

I needed two chimneys on my house fixed. Ed came out and gave me a quote the day I called. The next week we had a signed contract and he had the job done two weeks ahead of the agreed upon completion date. His team did an excellent job and both chimneys look brand new. They did the job safely using scaffolding and fall protection and left my house cleaner than when they started. Very satisfied with the work and would highly recommend creative masonry for your job. read more

Just had my chimney repaired by Ed and his crew. They did a fantastic job taking down the old chimney top and replacing it so that it looked just like the old one. The clean up after the job was so good that you would never know that they were here. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for quality work. read more

Ed and his crew did an incredible job on our front steps and new sidewalk. I was a nervous customer with lots of questions and one tiny revision to the plan, and they were patient, courteous, and most importantly did an incredible job. The work really transformed the front of our house. We highly recommend them! read more

We had some preventive chimney maintenance (cap repair, resurface and water repellent) done four years ago by Creative Masonry. Now this chimney needs to be rebuilt. The only thing I got in response from Ed was excuses. My original investment with them was a waste of money! read more

I have two chimneys that needed to be replaced. Ed from Creative Masonry was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done in order to avoid future leaking issues. Everything he told me (we also received a signed contract prior to) he did exactly as was explained. His men worked diligently and they did a fabulous and professional job, as I had expected. Creative Masonry exceeded all of my expectations. They didn't leave a mess on the roof and they cleaned up nicely after they were done. The job took 2 days for 1 oversized chimney and another regular size chimney that they had to knock down and rebuild. Beautiful job on chimneys and I will, without a doubt, use them again for all of my masonry needs. They made quite an impression upon themselves and the neighbors are commenting on the beautiful work they did. Thank you Ed and crew!! read more

Ed and his team did an outstanding job fixing my chimney. Ed came out and explained what needed to be done and gave a complete estimate. Later that same day we had a small crew from Creative Masonry complete the job in a couple hours. The team was curtious, hard working and very clean. I would highly recommend Creative Masonry. read more

Used these guys for recapping and repointing. They completed their work efficiently and professionally. Just as it should be. Now, fast forward 18-months. I am going to sell my home and some areas of loose brick cement are uncovered in the inspection. While one could argue that that should never have occurred given that I had just had recently had a comprehensive repointing done, what I think is most important is how CMC handled my call to them. I called, raised the issue and I will tell you that they were bend-over-backwards responsive. They had a crew at my house the next day. They fixed the couple of spots that were raised in the inspection, and they charged me nothing. As I've shared in my prior reviews, the best indication of how good a company is is surfaced when there is a problem. It is all about how well they step up and "has the buck stop with them". These guys did. Period. read more

We had Ed for projects at our home on two separate occasions - to repair our chimney, and to lay down pavers at our basement walkout. We were very pleased with the work of Creative Masonry on both occasions. Ed is very polite and friendly, and gives prompt and accurate estimates. In our pavers project, he worked patiently with us in helping us identify options and select the best looking materials. We are delighted with how the work looks. His guys are also professional, approachable and clean in their work. Both projects were finished on time and done to our complete satisfaction. We would definitely hire him for our next project. read more

The absolute worst company! Their idea of taking care of my chimney was to hurl the bricks they were replacing down into the chimney. This was discovered by accident. It created a dangerous problem with high levels of carbon monoxide in my house as a result. Absolutely stay away! read more

I recently bought a house and the pre-close inspector suggested I consult with a chimney expert regarding some items the inspector thought needed work. I called 3 chimney/masonry contractors to get their opinions and estimates. The folks at Creative Masonry seemed to know their stuff the best vs the other guys, so I chose them for the work. I needed a fireplace rebuild on the inside - it was brick that was falling apart. I couldn't believe how awesome the finished product looked. We did a stone facade that transformed the whole room, it is now my favorite room in the house. The inspector didn't catch it, but the folks at Creative found that I was missing an ash grate at the bottom of the fireplace and a door on the bottom of the ash chute in the basement. The house is ~100 years old but they were able to locate the needed parts to remedy this safety concern. In addition to great workmanship, I was pleased with their professionalism and will be calling them back before winter to service and clean the chimney. read more

I had the good fortune to use Creative to repair my chimney and front porch and walkway. We were very happy with the outcome. The men did a beautiful job and were hardworking. Also, they cleaned up everything. We would highly recommend Creative. Thanks Ed! read more

Highly recommended. Crumbling chimney needed to be replaced. They tore down the old one and built the new one in one day. These guys came in the morning, set up their scaffolding and were done by afternoon. The new chimney looks great. The entire crew were all hard working guys who know their craft. Owner/manager Ed was very friendly, easy to work with and quickly replied to messages when setting up the job. read more
