Communication. Alex was to come by to look at the property 2-3 weeks ago, haven't heard or seen him. I understand that contractors are busy and not all jobs may be large enough to warrant follow up, however as a customer who initiates the conversation and subsequent follow up, same should be expected from the contractor. Possibly this review will reset the engagement. read more

From start to finish, we are beyond impressed with Alex and his crew! He replaced our existing retaining wall (and mailbox) and what went from an eye sore is now the talk of the neightborhood. He is professional, careful, excellent at communication, and exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Alex and team! read more

We used Alex Masonry to construct a stair walk which turned out beautifully. Our house is on an unlevel lot with a steep grade from the sidewalk to our front door stoop (about 25 feet). To ease the effort required to get to our existing sidewalk landing, we wanted a stair walk with long, level treads (about four feet). The final product surpassed our expectations! Having contracted with Alex seven years ago to redo our front stoop, we were familiar with his craftsmanship, and asked for a bid on this project. Alex gave us a fair estimate which finalized our decision. He was patient and would consult us every step of the way (no pun intended), especially with any changes. The crew was timely, conscientious of our property, and meticulous. What's more, the project was completed in four days and the crew did a bang-up job matching the stair walk to our existing stoop. We couldn't be more thrilled! We highly recommend Alex Masonry for any hardscape or stone project. They are top-notch, and we will call on them again! read more

We are extremely pleased with the results Alex Masonry did on our pool deck area. Alex not only oversees the project but he works alongside his crew. Alex is very meticulous about each aspect of the process. Our pool patio had to be redone 3 times, & this time proves the adage "Third time is the charm "! We highly recommend Alex Masonry ! read more

I would highly recommend Alex. Some stones fell of the facade on top of our garage, so I reached out to several contractors, and Alex was the first one to respond. He also completed the job in record time (2 days while another mason we met estimated it would take him a week minimum) and did a fantastic job to boot. He also fixed a loose stone step on our front stairs for no extra charge. Would definitely go with him again. read more

I hired Alex Masonry to remove a tired concrete patio and install a new paver patio. This was a 500 Sq ft patio. They did such a nice job I had them remove a walk and install a new walk, and create a pad for our garbage and recycling bins. They were on time, professional and very clean. When they finished there was no debris left behind. Very nice family. read more

We hired Alex and his crew to do redo the pathway leading from our driveway to our front door as well as our stoop. Alex replied extremely quickly and was knowledgeable about different options and competitive in price compared to other mason's we contacted. He showed us different stone options available and encouraged us to go to a local showroom to look at types of stone and send him pictures of houses we liked. When we sent a picture of a house we loved, he knew exactly what stone they had used and provided honest and timely suggestions for how to create a similar look. While it took a little while due to COVID-19 to get the work done, we were not in a rush and when he was able to come he was present on site from start to finish and ensured we were extremely happy with the amazing job they did (finished in 2 and a half days). Would highly recommend them and in fact will be hiring them again in the future to do some stone walls for us. Top notch group who were extremely friendly and did great work. read more

10/20/2016 Alex and crew did an amazing job with the assistance of helping me choose the design and pavers to blend with the landscape. Description of work: Needed to have my front walkway replaced. Chose beautiful pavers to match my granite chimney which is a prominent feature in the front of my house. I also needed a badly warped step replace in the back of the garage exit door. Heeding others' recommendations, we called on Alex Masonry for replacement and expansion of our front stoop (platform and steps), replacement of a badly cracked concrete walkway with pavers, and creation of a concrete apron at the base of side steps at the house. They came to look over the work to be done, and offered estimates for two different options, explaining carefully the benefits and costs of each. Accommodating our schedule, they came to the house again on a weekend, so we could see different pavers and choose our preferred color. When rainy weather delayed work, they came with a crew on Saturday and Sunday to complete the job in a timely fashion. All in all, the price was reasonable and the results showed truly artful craftsmanship. We couldn't be more pleased, and will certainly use them again when we have masonry needs. read more
