Sammy and his entire crew did a spectacular job in replacing a very old concrete sidewalk I had - with high quality pavers. He guided me in what to choose in terms of size and color of pavers. The design and color were spot-on; truly enhancing the area. Throughout the entire process, I was kept informed if a decision needed to be made in terms of having to add an extra step on their end. He wanted to ensure we were 'always on the same page'; and, when the job was completed, there would be no surprises on my end. He emphasized that "I am the customer, and I have to be 100% happy". These are work ethics that are slowly becoming a lost art: Ensuring the customer is full satisfied / honesty / punctuality / neat and tidy upon job completion / courtesy and respect from each crew member / fast, diligent and conscientious crew members - including Sammy. We highly recommend Sammy Masonry-They arrived at 8 am each day to our home in Litchfield and worked tirelessly into the early evening. Their estimate was extremely reasonable and the quality of their work was excellent. Yes, as good as it gets! My voicemail message yesterday morning was returned within an hour, (this is in contrast to the mason who did the original work several years ago and didn't return our three calls over 10 days). Sammy came out here yesterday afternoon to look at our small repair jobs and gave us a very reasonable quote and then, (are you ready for this?), showed up this morning and completed the work! We agree with already listed yelp reviews, (that's how we found him): Sammy and his co-worker are extremely polite, professional, efficient, good natured and obviously, hardworking. Sammy masonry did my poured concrete stairs, and they were absolutely fantastic. The price offered was very reasonable (much cheaper than any of the precast concrete companies), and the workmanship was excellent. Sammy was on site throughout the day to oversee the project, and his crew was excellent. The finished product was beautiful, and flowed seamlessly with the precast stairs that were already in place. They did the job within the week that I called, which was amazing. I didn't expect the job to get done so quickly. We needed a new front walk to replace the existing gravel walk. Contacted Sammy and he was courteous and made an appointment to see me quickly after work. We agreed on the scope of the work, a paving block and a fair price. He started work that Saturday and finished on Sunday. He and his men worked very hard and would always try to accommodate our wishes and make sure we were happy with the work. Sammy is one of the most professional and helpful contractors I've ever worked with. He was very responsive and informative, and his team was incredibly professional and hardworking. I needed a bulging stonewall demo-ed and rebuilt (approx 30 feet in length) and drainage installed. My chimney needed a liner, but my trusted chimney guy didn't do masonry. He gave me his contact, and I cot quotes from his guy and from Sammy. Sammy's quote was better, but I was concerned because I didn't have any reference for Sammy's work. In the end I met Sammy and found him to be a good person, so I went with him. My chimney guy was happy with the job. My chimney is plumb, nice looking, and now will last for years! My girlfriend was harassed by a group of their workers while driving home from work -- completely unprovoked and inappropriate. This kind of conduct is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the company's professionalism and hiring standards. He informed me of changes to the job before he did them and I appreciated his thoroughness and honesty in assessing the job so that it would be done correctly. We needed a chimney repair for an oil furnace. We got one estimate previously but Sammy's recommendation was to replace the chimney not worth repairing. He came in $1000 less than the guy who wanted to do a repair....WOW. This guy is awesome.
