James is a pleasure to work with (so easy going and professional) and he is always around working and managing during the project. For the work A Better Craft did for my project - see below. WORK COMPLETED: Painted my unfinished basement from top to bottom (including painting and tacking up messy wires and finding a way to conceal them), smoothed over an uneven concrete basement floor, patched up parts of the ceiling where you could see the rafters, installed recessed lights and moved electrical outlets, built a closet with doors that his team constructed from a picture I showed them, patched up and painted my cracking concrete steps in the front and back of my house, installed a ceiling fan in my bedroom, hung heavy gym wall mirrors on the concrete walls in my basement, eliminated my rodent issue by adding wood siding under my steps and deck and had my iron gate repaired in front of my home. James is a talented painter and he knows his team well in addition to knowing all the local hardware, paint, and electrical stores which helps with product and pricing. You will enjoy working with A Better Craft!

If you have worked with other contractors, you know what a blessing this is. They recently, at the recommendation of a neighbor who has worked with them, installed a new mini split HVAC system in our house and replaced all the back windows. Then when they were days away from being finished with the job, a leak from our upstairs shower caused the a portion of our dining ceiling to fall down (related to inept contractors, who had worked on our house 16 years before) Maverick took the additional job to fix the shower and dining room, and now everything looks even better than it did ever before. They even gave us all the documents we need to file a claim for the damage with our insurance company. We cannot say enough about how wonderful Maverick is. They have a great team of professionals. It was a joy having them in our house.

We came across Bond Construction after a number of interactions with other contractors left us…read morefeeling frustrated. Ed showed up the day I reached out and came to the site to answer questions and prepare a quote. It was clear from the start that Bond Construction would be a perfect fit for this project. Ed was able to quickly navigate the arduous co-op approval process and provided guidance along the way. The project consisted of a fairly extensive renovation of a 2 bedroom co-op apartment in lower Manhattan. Bond Construction completed the following: new flooring throughout the entire apartment, patch/paint plaster walls and ceilings, skim coat where necessary, updated electrical work (fuse box to circuit breaker), open up a pass through between living room and kitchen, a complete kitchen gut and renovation, install all appliances, install cabinetry, install new baseboard and crown moldings, build two large decorative beams with recessed LED lighting in living room, remove pedestal sink and install new bathroom vanity. There are lots of other details I have left out but needless to say Ed and his team did an incredible job with this project. Ed was communicative throughout the renovation and his team was extremely resourceful, as they were able to come up with creative and effective solutions to any issues or unforeseen challenges that arose during the renovation. Everyone that worked on site was friendly, respectful of our building's rules, and our neighbors. Most importantly, the project was done ON TIME and ON BUDGET! We would highly recommend Ed and his team at Bond Construction and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
