The rough winter we have experienced in the north east has wreaked havoc on our homes. After looking for a contractor on Yelp I settled on Double P. I called the owner for an estimate on a couple of projects we had underway and he came over right away. The professionalism that he showed was impressive, he came wearing a mask, he had equipment used to take measurements and gave us a fair estimates for both projects. The first one was my gutter which was damaged by ice and he gave me a very fair price. He sent over a very competent worker who worked on replacing the gutter. He was detailed, careful, and had the tools necessary to complete the job. The worker did a fine job and was efficient. I will definitely use this service again and I will update my review as soon as he completes the second job we are hiring him to do. read more

Pascual and his team are amazing! We were looking to completely finish our basement, including a new kitchenette and a new full bathroom (with an ejector pump as the floor was below the main waste line). I had gotten quotes from a few contractors, and I thought that Pascal's price was reasonable and fair.This was by no means a simple project, but Pascual saw it through from start to finish with extreme professionalism and skill! Throughout the whole processes, Pascual constantly listened to any questions and feedback we had; even when we wanted to change some aspects of the project partway through (to a reasonable extent), he would always value our opinion and would work with us to come to a solution that everyone was happy with, a skill that not every contractor has. His workers were always respectful to us, and his plumber and electrician deserve a shout out as well! I am very satisfied with the quality of the work, and the end result is just fantastic and is even better than I imagined. I highly recommend giving Pascual a call if you need a contractor and to see for yourself how much of a genuine pleasure it is to work with him. Double P is owned by Pascual. Pascual is a gentleman. He is honest, trust worthy, and he work and crew are all great. I had a small apartment that needed some minor renovations. Before I met Pascual, I hire a guy named Rob C Construction from Elmwood Park NJ. He told me the job would take 6-8 weeks. Well, 3 1/2 months later the job was half done. DO NOT HIRE ROB C CONSTRUCTION. I got rid of that bum, and found Double P and Pascual. He told me he would finish the job in 1 week and he did!. First and foremost- I despise the process of hiring handymen and contractors. Who's going to lie to me? Who's going to sense that I'm a new homeowner and try to overcharge/oversell me? Who's going to disappear into thin air? I first came across Double P Home Improvement when I needed a stair repaired. I interviewed 3 contractors. 1. Said I would need to replace the whole staircase (and never called back with a quote). 2. Said there was potential rot and I would have to replace all stairs and the handrail (at an astronomical price). 3. Along came Pasqual who said he could fix the stair the next day- no problem (and very reasonably priced)! It's still holding strong- and no problems with any of the other stairs. As someone who is beyond clueless about anything handy- my ability to trust a contractor felt amazing. Pasqual isn't out here to do poor quality work, lie, or milk you for extra money. Pasqual is prompt, professional, kind, and courteous. That is why I called him back for a few more jobs today- and again, I am beyond happy with his work and pricing. I had been bugging my husband for years to get our deck refinished. The bones were good, but the wood was in bad shape. Previously we had a cedar deck, but because the deck has a southern exposure time had weakened most of the floor boards and railings. We finally started seriously looking for someone to replace it a month ago. I looked on yelp and came upon Double P. His reviews were impressive. Pascal came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate. He had the best reviews of all the other companies and one of the lowest in terms of price. We hired him and the project started about a week later. It took all of 8 days from demolition to a beautiful deck. We are so happy with his work. His crew came every day and when he had an emergency called us immediately to inform he would not be able to have his men here that day. Other than that one day, his men were here from 8-5. I have been in my home for over eight years. It is an older home which has needed A LOT of work! Every time I have had to fix or change something, from the roof to windows to heating, I have dreaded it! Not because of the money that I knew would have to be shelled out but because of the contractors I would have to deal with.
