Dior Construction was on time, professional and responsive to my phone calls. Dior is a local company here in Bergen County. They are large enough for office staff, sales teams, work teams and site supervisors. If I had a smaller job in mind that might not have mattered to me but when I do a large job I like a company with support staff. (For me, two talented guys in a van and a wife who answers the phone is just fine for most work). I can attest they do upsell but I had no work done I did not need. I had made an effort to research roofing and gutter materials beforehand. I strongly advise interviewing other roofing/ gutter companies first and asking questions about installation and what *exact* materials they will use. Dior will send out a salesperson who will review the work you want done and the materials they will use. I was offered a discounted price for making my decision the same day and would not have felt comfortable accepting that discount if I had not spoken to several other vendors first. I don't like to make that kind of decision under pressure. I had looked at Dior because my usual preferred vendor would not install any shingles to replace those that might break when they removed them to install flashing up the sides where different roofline levels met. Dior will work with siding shingles as well as other siding. My site supervisor came each day, reviewed the job when it was done and sent a crew back for a minor adjustment. My only complaint was with the container company that drove over my lawn and sidewalk, cracking the blue stone sidewalk and leaving a tire impression in the lawn. read more

Do not use this company. They subcontracted out roofers that scratched my windows on the side of my condo (2nd floor unit) as well as on a back deck slider. They also broke my slider screen door on the deck so badly I had to replace it. They've been giving me the run around since it was done (4 years ago!!!) and the management company is no better. Owner finally!!! made an appearance promised me the moon and stars by that evening he reneged on his promise. Lies and excuses. What a coward. Other units were damaged as well. I wasn't looking for a new roof, my roof has 15 years on it and still have 5-10 more years to go. One of their sales person came knocking at my door one day, I was transparent that I was not looking to change my roof near term but he insisted on doing a no-commitment inspection which I ended up agreeing to to stay informed when the time comes to replace it in a few years. On the day of the inspection was when things went downhill. The impression I ended up getting is that they are trying to fool people with their clean cut sales team. I can see why many people would fall for that, instead of doing their due diligence as homeowners. The sales person, aka, inspector, from the beginning started saying things that didn't make much sense from the few things I know of roofing and was pushy in a polite way. I decided to just go with it and hoped he would be done soon with the sales pitch and would go straight into matter. But things just kept getting more frustrating. It reached the boiling point when he said I needed to change my roof in the next year because there was mold on it (a shingle or two have a bit on them on a shady side of the house) and became aggressively pushy about that. Are they taking customers for stupid that don't even know how to do a search on Google or YouTube to validate their word? I had seen that mold before, and no, there is no need to change a roof just because of mold on it. That is completely normal on asphalt roof that is not new on a shady side. It should be kept clean but alone is not a reason for a roof replacement like he was insisting. I know you are trying to make a sale but that is just straight up dishonest. And after more than an hour listening to so much and innumerable eye rolls from my side, their sales person is incapable of providing an estimate range based on their other works for similar sized homes, he basically gave me a few websites links that provides estimates (customer-centric and transparency anyone?! I wasn't even asking for a quote). I got lot of reason why I shouldn't use this company, that was the bigger take away. read more

I am really upset. Dior was the top-rated roofing and siding contractor in Bergen County, so I paid the premium price for their services. the selling point is that their products are guaranteed for 50 years. Clearly, that's not the case as evidenced by the first leak that I witnessed in December, and now January same leaks, same place, which was the reason I originally hired them to fix. Damn near 50k in the hole for a leak that the handyman my mother hired to fix 15 years ago for $300. It lasted for 12 years. They charged me 7 extra thousand dollars from the original contract to put in extra wood, etc. Did I mention they started charging late fees in August for a job they didn't complete til September. So, in summary, beware of false promises, they could lead to 10s of thousands of dollars worth of regret. read more

I absolutely just need to put this in public space because I wish I was warned. They will come for a consultation, and give you a sales pitch. My hours after work are some of the most valuable and precious hours of my day. There's barley enough time to cook dinner and relax before I have to get ready for the next day. Dior construction came at 5 o'clock for a consultation and didn't leave until 7:45. I expected this to take 30min, although they told me on the phone to reserve an hour. The salesman stayed 2 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES to convince me and try to buy their product. I simply don't have that time in my day. I did not sign up for a timeshare presentation, which is what this felt like. After my wife finished her second job, she had to start doing errands, which the salesperson was very unamused about us not both being there. I guess they wanted to convince us both..The sales tactics are fear based, and the pricing is such that they give you a huge discount if you sign during the sale pitch. This is to give you no opportunity to think about how insane it was that you received a PowerPoint presentation to get your roof repaired. Use this company if you are feeling lonely and have nothing to do on a weeknight. That all being said, the salesman was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and I learned a great deal. A family member who works for a roofing materials manufacturer recommended Dior Construction. I made an appointment for them to come out and check out my roof as it was leaking in multiple spots. Frank (my project manager) came and thoroughly inspected everything (inside and out). He told me everything that needed to be done and an estimated price. I also wanted new gutters, so he added that in. He put absolutely no pressure on me to make a decision right away...that is awesome customer service in my opinion. My wife and I decided to go ahead with the project. Once again Frank kept us in the loop of the whole ordering/delivery/installation process. Anytime I had a question, I'd reach out and he would immediately return my call. He showed up on install day with the customer experience manager (I think that was his title) Esteban (who was also a great person to work with). The crew tore off the shingles and found some rotten plywood which added some extra cost (I was expecting some added cost in case this happened). Roof, attic vents, and gutters came out looking great. After my awesome experience with Frank and his team, I'll definitely be getting my house re-sided with them when the time comes. Dior might be as great as other reviews state, but paying 100% more for a roof replacement is not something that I personally willing to do. That is right, Dior quote was 100% more than other GAF Master Elite companies in the area. An aggressive presentation with a lot of information; "other guys will ruin your roof"; "today's price", get to know your customer (talk about their kids, be interested) etc. - Dior definitely good at training their salespeople in selling techniques. That's a bit to obvious for my personal taste. Again, "Methinks not" based on the price, but if you are willing to share your wealth with Dior - the choice is yours. P.S. great owner's response- changing my review from 1 star to 3 just for that. I still think that Dior's markup is unreasonable as they could not match prices even with exactly the same or closest options as other companies. Usually contractors will over sell and under deliver on their promises and may throw in a couple of change orders to the process, leaving the customer wary. I noticed a leak stain on my ceiling on Sunday afternoon and set up an online schedule with Dior on Monday morning. Charlie arrived at my home on Tuesday at 11AM and inspected the roof physically and with drone and revealed that I had a hole in my roof with natural light visibly coming through. Charlie explained the process of start to finish and set realistic expectation for the job and did not do a hard sale of his services. He said that Thursday or Friday would be the target installation date and that someone will come by to tarp the hole in the meantime. He called back around 2pm saying that they can do the installation tomorrow and will be dropping off materials to start the project early next day. Matthew arrived at the home at 6:45am with his crew. Covered the home to protect from debris hitting windows and landscaping and got to work. I received a call around 3-4pm saying that the job was complete and I came back from work to a nearly spotless worksite. (We did have a container in our driveway over night that Charlie notifies us would be gone the following day when they went around with metal detectors to pick up any unseen nails that may have fallen). I had my roof and my duplex neighbor's roof completely replaced last week in mid August 2018. I found Dior to be pricier than average, but this is clearly a case where you get what you pay for. I purchased our home in 2016 and the roof was leaking and in crappy shape. The home was built in 1998 so this was the sorry state of the roof in just 8 years! There were no warranties to track down. The roof was a shoddy hack job. I wanted to avoid this fiasco for sure this time around and get the roof done right. I chose Dior because they offered the best customer relationship management and service, best attention to detail, quickest turnaround, and the full 25-year GAF warranties. I also like the fact that Dior is one of the larger roofing companies in the area, so chances are greater than smaller companies that they will still be around in 15 years if you need to use the workmanship warranty to fix anything. I had previously had 5 different roofers look at my roof and give estimates. Dior was the last estimator I used. Ira was my account rep and project manager and he was far more thorough and detail-oriented than any of the other roofing estimators that I had and also super personable. Dior was the only company that took detailed photos of the roof and home using a drone (and shared them with me) and was able to spot things no one other roofer had. Then, they were able to have the job started and completed in a single day (the gutter install was an easy separate day job and the dumpster was removed the following morning) which is testament to great project planning and management. They were also great with follow up, with the owner Dior himself patiently answering all the follow-up questions I had over the course of a few days. It's a brand new roof so we'll see how it holds up over the seasons, but initially I am very pleased and would highly recommend them. read more

Do not use this company. First of all they will try to use a hard sell, sign now or you'll never get this price from us again tactic. Secondly they claim they do great work and give a great warranty etc. When they did our roof they never did a full inspection. As a result a few months after, because of a gap they left between the roof and the attic, racoons infiltrated our attic and damaged the roof. They don't stand by their work and never came to re inspect. Now they want to charge 150 for someone to come and see the roof. What kind of warranty is that? On top of that their communication is very rude and you can never get back in contact with your original salesperson. They don't stand by their work and use questionable sales tactics. Why is it they are willing to keep theit salesperson at your house for 8 hours giving you the hard sell but can't send someone to look at your roof for 15 minutes to make sure it was done right? In general the work was fine but there were some issues like damaged fence, damaged trims, unpicked up nails, etc. They did eventually address them but given their excellent rating definitely expected more in terms of attention to details. read more

Just completed a first time new roof in Teaneck. We interviewed 4 companies prior to meeting Dior. We immediately felt connected to his team from their presentation, patience in responding to our questions about product and their guarantee. Their price was competitive but more important was our comfort level Their large crew arrived not only on time but early with state of the art equipment. Their 8 men team worked from 7 AM - 6 PM on day 1 and methodically and precisely completed a large part of our job with completion the following day. They were meticulous in their clean up process and our roof looks outstanding (see photos) A new roof is a huge expense and a lot of the guys just seem like they want the sale but aren't invested in the job. I'm sure they are a good company but wanted others to not waste their time and call them for help if they are in need of repair. It is unfortunately rare to have as thoroughly positive an experience with a contractor as I had with Dior. Every step of the way, he communicated well, stuck to schedule, delivered on his promises and met or exceeded code. Additionally, he twice went above and beyond my expectations. First was to remove a giant wasps' nest hanging on my house. He and his workers safely removed it and even cleaned the underside of the house where it had been hanging. The second was to solve an aesthetic problem on the inside of a skylight he replaced, caused by a change in how skylights are made. His creativity and his worker's talents likely saved me hundreds of dollars in sheetrocking and painting. All-in-all, the roof looks great, the skylight looks great and services were delivered on budget and on schedule. What more can you ask for? read more

I used them for a whole roof replacement as the house we bought had signs of water damage. We looked to do a repair, but figured since we plan to be at our new house for a while, we should at least look at estimates for whole roof replacements as we were not truly sure of the real condition of the roof. My wife's coworker referred them to us. Note, they do not do repairs, only full roof replacement. To be honest they were a bit pricey but the materials used were some that I knew were of quality. Additionally they are considered master roofers, which means they are held to a higher roofing standard. With that, their build warranty, and the roof's material warranty we moved forward with hiring them. Hudson was our sales rep and did a great job answering all our questions. They came right at 7am and began working soon after. It was determined our roof was in a bit worse shape than thought, however we were prepared and the additional costs were acceptable. We wanted to make sure the roof was done at the highest standard, as it was deemed in poor shape. Mike the project manager provided us pictures of the roof during construction which was helpful to see what they were doing and how damaged the roof was, and Hudson followed up as well for general inquiries. The job finished in 1 day, they left shortly before 6pm including clean up. My wife and I were impressed with the outcome. The roof looks amazing. Hudson provided us with before and after pictures. As new first time home buyers we knew a new roof was a priority but we were very concerned about the process of it all. Dior really did have the best price for the work performed. We had a 3-layer tear-off and full replacement. During Dior's estimate process, he tried to get as much information as possible -- more than just measurements -- so that the quote could be more accurate. We had some rotted wood but his price per plywood sheet is very reasonable, and the total roof job was done, with cleanup and everything, in a single day. Dior was onsite and monitoring the work and the end result is a beautiful roof. It's rained almost every day since and we're very happy with how it turned out. read more

Me and my wife were becoming frustrated during the process of meeting with contractors to have a new roof installed on our home. We wanted to find a company that could 1. complete the work in at least 2 days, 2. Be reasonably priced 3. Have favorable reviews. We met with 3 contractors and got 3 different prices for the roof (minus the gutters) but we still didn't€™t feel comfortable with any of them so I found the reviews for Dior Construction and set up an appointment.. Thank God that I did! Dior arrived on time at our home at 6:30 in the evening and spent the next 1 1/2 hours explaining every detail of the work that was to be performed and what to expect on the day of the install. He walked around the property and explained what type of roof we had and venting and gutter options. You can tell he really takes pride in his work and his company. At the end of the meeting he gave us his estimate and to our surprise even with leaf guard gutters included his estimate was STILL lower than the others! Obviously, we decided to go with Dior and chose a start date. Again, to our surprise Dior called and pushed our date up by 2 weeks and on the new date he and a dumpster was in my driveway at 7AM. His crew came and were very courteous and professional. They installed the roof and cleaned up every trace of debris by 6PM. The next day The gutters were installed and the dumpster was removed. I found out I had a hole in my roof. I had to immediately call a roofing company and I had no idea where to begin so I googled "roofing company's near me". Dior Construction came up and was ranked #1. I called them immediately and spoke with Hudson. He happened to have availability that same day (thank goodness). He said 2pm and my doorbell rang at 2pm. Hudson first surveyed the property by walking around and taking pictures with a drone. And from there he said "you have a hole in your roof". UGGH.....Hudson gave us a great presentation on the company, his background, the different types of roofing materials and colors, then he explained to my husband and I what we have and what we needed. He went over pricing as well. Because rain was expected for the next few days and I was afraid my ceiling would come down, so until we signed the contract and schedule a date, Hudson stated he would have someone come out and cover the hole with tarp. Usually we would call around to get a few quotes but there was a comfort we felt with Hudson and I also like the charity work Dior Construction does, this being coupled with their #1 ranking we knew we would have Dior do the work. Two days following Hudson's assessment, the owner himself came to our home and covered the hole. He said Saturday there was a group text about our house. That made me feel good; as if we were priority to Hudson. And even better when we received a call on Sunday evening saying they can put us on the schedule for the next day. No one expects for things like this to happen; I just recently had a baby (on maternity leave), AND we had to deal with the insurance company. But Hudson and Dior Construction made us feel as if everything would be okay. I am happy to say we have a new roof; the guys did a great one day job; picked EVERYTHING up from the property, there was even an inspector (I assume) that came out after the job was done. Then Hudson called and followed up, twice. You cannot ask for better service. Dior Construction is great. We have been looking into getting new siding and learned they do siding as well. About a problem I had with my roof, siding and some gutters.They answered the phone right away and we set up a meet the following Saturday, They showed up as promised, looked at the problems and took pictures and said they would call me. A couple days later I called them and they said they were booked up. If true they should of said that when I called for the estimate. The workers worked in the worst summer heat of this year and still remained focused and on time with the completion of the work. Any and all questions and concerns were explained and addressed. We recently decided to replace our roof due the the continuing leaking. My wife found Dior and some other constructors with good reviews here. I just read through the previous reviews for the first time. I have to agree with all of them. I can see the process is very transparent and consistently good with all the clients who have worked with Dior. Dior came the first day for the inspection and pitching. He explained step by step what is going to happen during the day, what choices we have, what his recommendation and why, every single details, also gave us a customized solution for the rotten roof deck at the back of our garage. I was amazed about how much he paid attention to the details from start to the end, including the safety of his guys, very professional. The price was reasonable, and on the day of the job, they delivered as they promised! Finished in a day, started at 7am, and finished around 5pm. Everything is very coordinated, the shingling delivery truck, the dumpster, everything just comes right at the time. They cleaned up my yard which was even cleaner than before they came - picking up every piece of debris, using magnet to sweep around to remove all the nails etc. Compared to other roofers we talked with, I can see Dior keeps using the new tech available for their business. We hired Dior Construction to replace our old leaking roof, skylight and gutters. I was suprised with how fast Dior, the owner, responded to my email, set up an evaluation/meeting and establishing a start date (1 week). In fact, the job was pushed up earlier by 2 days. During our meeting, he evaluated the roof, checked the air flow in the attic, thoroughly went through the job to be done, the GAF products to be used, the GAF Gold warranty (25 years for workmanship and 50 years for product), financing options, clean up and what I needed to do which was absolutely minimal. He and his foreman were open to answering any questions as they wanted me to be well informed. For my 2700 sq. ft. roof, Dior pledged to complete the roof in 1 day with the gutters to follow the day after. On the day of the job, they started at 7am on the dot as promised. His crew worked so efficiently despite having to add on extra plywood. 5-6 were on the roof while 1-2 were constantly cleaning up. I watched them work as they applied the products and completed every step as discussed. The plywood was an added expense but Dior and I wanted the job to be done correctly (heck this is my home). After the roof was done the entire crew made sure there was no garbage and more importantly, nails left over. They were out of the property before 5pm. The next business day, a crew of 2 installed my seamless gutters and Leaftech covers. They too did a wonderful job. My wife and I never really appreciated the importance and beauty of the roof. We were extremely satisfied with the work Dior Construction has done for us. Unlike many contractors, Dior runs his operation with honor, integrity and focuses on customer satisfaction. First, let me start off by saying how professional, thorough and reasonably priced Dior was! We had an incredibly old 3x over wood shingled roof. Original to the house and last updated in 1985!!! We needed help. Luckily, we hadn't experienced any major leaks but it was about time our roof was replaced. I reached out to 3 other contractors who either never showed up for the estimate, gave me an outrageous quote without even seeing the place, or never responded. Dior responded very quickly and came out within days to meet me and look at the house. He walked us through all of the different options and explained why they would work best for us. In addition to being knowledgeable about his business he even knew what to expect from our roof. He asked to look in the attic to confirm the type of roofing that we had to make sure he gave us an accurate quote. This was in December! He promised the roof would be done before Christmas and made sure all the details were worked out. We had our roof torn down and replaced in one day. I came home from work and the job was done.
