I was referred to RSM Design Builders by another local contractor who thought they could do the job I needed to stop constant flooding into our basement and crawl space from big rainstorms, and I took a leap of faith and called Rob without even checking reviews. He came by the same week to see how the water was coming in, looked at the gutters and water spouts and recommended a dry well or French drain system. It wasn't a cheap solution, but he provided a full estimate explaining the costs and, once agreed, had his crew here the following week. They dug and cut the clogged water drain, opened up a trench through the yard, dug the dry well and installed a 50-gallon well with an excess escape valve. They lined up the corrugated pipe with gravel and a liner to prevent dirt and roots from clogging it. They backfilled it and were done in one day. Then came the rain. We have had two heavy tropical storms that brought many inches of rain to the region and would have definitely caused flooding for us. Our basement is dry and so is the crawl space. Rob even called later to check how we were doing. I had a very good experience with this company and plan to hire them again in the future. read more
