I found Andrei through a Yelp Project request, and he is easily the single best expert and service provider that I've come across through years of using Yelp Projects. I needed to get the hinges replaced on a noisy inside door of my house (the joys of being a new homeowner), and I got several responses from contractors across Yelp. Andrei's stood out both because it was the lowest price quote, and he had the best reviews of any other respondent. It seemed a little too good to be true, but I figured it was worth taking a chance. I'm glad I did, because Andrei IS too good to be true, and yet he exists. Excellent communication, punctual, thorough and completely self-sufficient, the hinge replacement process started off great. Then, after expertly replacing the hinges, and even sanding a bit at the base of the door where it caused the door to stick when opening and closing, he checked to see how the door opened and closed - the door was now blissfully quiet, but still stuck, and he identified the door latch and plate as needing to be adjusted. Above and beyond! The door works perfectly now, it's literally like a new door. And because the door was to my mother-in-law's bedroom, having Andrei provide this superlative service scored me a few points with her (well, at least for a few hours, until she found something else to grumble about). He also left the space clean, and was very courteous from start to finish. I am so thrilled to have found Andrei, because as a new homeowner, I am discovering fun new surprises in the house that I purchased late last year all the time. Now I know just who to turn to when the surprise is too much for my husband or I to handle on our own. read more

Andrei was AWESOME. I needed him to replace a wall air-conditioner that was 90lbs and 12 feet off the ground. When I posted the project on Yelp and Home Depot, I had about 10 responses. I saw that Andrei had the most 5-star reviews, so I chose him. So happy I did. He arrived a few minutes early and started to work. Once he removed the old AC, he realized he needed to reframe the inside and outside of the wall. He went to Home Depot to purchase the materials and only charged me for the materials; he did not increase his fee. He did an excellent job, was very thorough, and cleaned up well. I would definitely recommend him and use him again. read more

I met Andrei back in March 2024. He responded with his rate and availability quickly when I reached out to him. Turns out he was free the same day and arrived on time for his appointment. He helped me with several caulking jobs on my kitchen counter and a few bath counters and a shower. Next, he hung up 4 large poster frames and 6 small picture frames nicely. He also redid part of a wall that had a crack in it and did some touch up painting. I was happy with the work and ended up having him back again to do some other projects. read more
