The movers removed the feet and bottom wooden piece, without asking, then walked away without putting it back together. Colin came, took the feet and wood, rebuilt the broken feet, removed wood glue from many years past and rebuilt the cabinet. Once the feet were cleaned up and reattached the bottom wood piece, he came back and reattached everything to the china cabinet. It is now more solid than it had been in over fifty years. This piece has been in our family for three generations and I am so thrilled to have it back in its full beauty again. Then the project manager stood over me asking to give a rating before he left otherwise he and the employees wouldn't get their 50.00 each. The roofers and clean up crew worked extremely hard. I thought this was so unfair I'd rate the roofers thus far a 5 star but the company's policy a 1 star adding much stress to this expensive procedure. I thought it was tacky stating I had to fill out a review before he left or they each wouldn't get their 50.00. May even be illegal. As a chiropractic physician I would not ask my patient to write a review and watch them doing it before they left my clinic. We will see how good the roof and gutters are after the first rain and windstorm. The roof crew did clean up thoroughly from what I can see. They left after 8 pm and it was dusky. The gentlemen that came today to repair the ceiling were respectful, hardworking and had great work ethics and cleaned up afterwards. Not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but the only company to provide an in-home demo of the actual windows we were purchasing. With such a big home improvement project, you want to feel confident that you made the right choice. Shortly after signing the paperwork, they sent someone out to measure. Then we waited quite a while for the job to be scheduled. Unfortunately, installation occurred during a weeklong heat wave. Yet the guys rarely complained, and spent four full days installing our windows. If I have any complaints, it's about their after sale customer service. The day our installation wrapped up, I noticed a slash in one of the screens, and was assured they'd order a replacement and have it sent to us. Three months later we still had no screen, so my husband and I started calling. Every call was treated as a brand new sales call and no one seemed to know anything about our replacement screen. Finally, someone came out and made us a new screen onsite. However, he re-screened it too tightly, and the frame warped. More phone calls and more confusion on their part made us feel like we were in the twilight zone. Ultimately, we took the frame to their office and they fixed it there, which was an additional inconvenience. Other than these few snafus, we're happy with the work.

Promises to have excellent work and that the work will be done correctly. However, the workmanship overall is not good, several issues had to be resolved. Stephen (if he comes) shows up on site for maybe 30 mins at the beginning of the day. Stephen doesn't check any of the work to ensure its up to code or if he does, he doesn't know the code and will cause rework later. I requested all work to be permitted at the beginning of the project. After questioning when the inspector was coming, his workers said Stephen was dealing with that. Stephen never filed for the permitting until I told him it had to be done. Work had to be paused for a month while waiting for inspector to come to the house. Cracks in grout from install after 2 months. I found out there was no Schluter or hardy board under the tile and it was put directly onto plywood. After 3 attempts to repair by just adding more grout into the cracks and caulking into the grout, I complained enough that he replaced it with LVP. They poured a concrete pad right before a frost and mounted the split unit condenser on it 2 days after pouring. I asked Stephen to fix this and his response was "it's a useable pad". I was so feed up with the excuses and the terrible workmanship that I didn't even want him to come back. Several other items had to be fixed, mounting the split units within 2 inches from the ceiling, not cleaning the walls before painting, stripped screws, and overall just terrible finishing work. The other issue I had was that they used my tools and shop vac while working on the projects without consent. Completely unprofessional. Stephen Hale offers a good price but the headaches and numerous failed inspections were a nightmare. Spend a little more and avoid the problems.
