I get my nails done regularly at Glossy Nails, but tonight I brought my daughter with me and Mia did an absolutely fantastic job! My daughter brought in an inspiration picture for Mia to use and Mia did the webs and spider so much better than even what was in the inspiration picture. Stopped in because of all the good reviews to get dipping powder on my nails but that same evening 2 of them chipped! I've never had this happen with dipping powder before so I went back and they fixed them free of charge... later the same day I had nails chip AGAIN. I'm going to have to go somewhere else entirely to get a new set. Bummer.

I've been coming to Glossy Nails for almost 2 years, but I will probably never return. I wanted my acrylics removed, which I expected would be done with acetone. Not a drop of acetone was used. Instead, she cut the ends of my nails (wasting all my beautiful growth underneath) and used another nail tip to pry the acrylic off my nail. It hurt like heck, my nails are completed wrecked and will take months to grow out. She also pulled off one nail that was stuck to my skin (they applied these acrylics, btw) and I bled. After that, she used super glue to glue 3 of my paper thin nails back together before covering them with gel. The gel looks ok, even though the shapes are completely uneven. Do not get your acrylics removed here if you care about your natural nail at all.

This salon is so clean and beautiful! Bao does a fantastic job! I took my 90 year old neighbor friend to get a pedi for the first time ever ! He was so gentle, kind and friendly. He had to fix her big toe 3 times because she bumped it the last time he even came out to my car to help her ! Thank you for the wonderful customer service, Bao!

Sooo......I have to admit before actually getting my first mani-pedi, I was totally against it. I mean, C'mon, I'm a dude and dudes don't get mani-pedi's. Now, after sitting back in that massage chair and getting my feet and hands manicured and massaged and feeling how relaxing it felt, I now feel like I have missed out all these years. This has been my wife's best kept secret....until I got that gift card...lol. They even massage your calves!!!! So Glossy Nails is a nice establishment. The air smells clean and the interior and surfaces are very clean. After each customer they wipe everything down clean and each chair has a mini plastic see through wall which separates the customer from the manicurist. The business also requires each customer to wear a face mask. The staff is very friendly and conversational and if you're not talkative, they are fine with letting you relax as well. Now I'm no expert on mani-pedi's, but for a working guy, they sure do feel awesome and relaxing. On top of of making my ugly feet look pretty, the staff massages your feet and calves. CAN I GET AN AMEN about the calf massage?!! I'm sure there are a lot of places you can get a mani-pedi, and like I said, I'm no expert in this area, but Glossy Nails provided great customer service, the business was clean and inviting and the actual services met my expectations. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and always happy with my nails! I'll always call in advance to make sure they have time to fit me in and I'm usually in and out once I get there. I see a different person almost every time and they all do a wonderful job! The beautiful waterfall wall and comfortable chairs are definitely a plus as well, on top of the fact that they're right down the street from my house. Definitely my go-to! read more

I've found my nail place finally in the Rocklin/Roseville area! This place is top notch. The pedicure was awesome and relaxing. I will never go here again. I have been coming here for 3 years and scheduling is always an issue. I always have an appt, yet they stick me in a pedi chair and let my fit sit until the water gets cold, but I dealt with it, because I liked the atmosphere of the shop. Two weeks ago, I was scheduled for a Sunday appointment and when I get there I find out they aren't open on Sundays! So I call on Monday and schedule for that Thursday, then I get a call an hour before my appt to let me know they can't see me. It shouldn't be this much work to get a pedi. read more

Had such a great time with the bride to be and her little entourage. As a maid of honor you have so many responsibilities and of them is coordinating to get nails done before the big day. Luckily I was able to get us 6 in last minute with a 24 hour notice. The place is super clean, and tools are sanitized and packaged for every customer. We all got powder dip which lasted for ever even after I put it through and no chipping like regular nail polish or even gel does as times. The people there are so friendly and assisted us until they closed. It was a great experience and we will definitely come back. read more

I had an appointment the Saturday before Memorial day. Nice ambiance but a bit smaller than I was expecting. I saw pictures online and it looked much larger. It was very busy but I did get seated right away. Unfortunately they way over booked that day. I ended up sitting there with foil on my nails for about thirty minutes because there was no one to do my powder manicure. I'm still giving them four stars because Tina did a really good job and the owner did apologize for the delay. They also have a very large selection for gel and a powder manicure which I really like. I will definitely give this place another try, hopefully with less of a wait and on a day that isn't so crowded. It did feel a little claustrophobic crammed with so many people in such a small space. read more

I have been looking for a good nail place for so long, and I finally found it. The employees are all so friendly, and the ambiance is so relaxing. This place is sooooo clean and organized. The owner Bao was so welcoming, I've never experienced that in any salon before. And all the employees refer to all the clients by there names, which is a very nice touch. Decent, but nothing to rave about. Employees were very businesslike and not particularly friendly. They were rough on my cuticles and my powder manicure only lasted 1.5 weeks (typically when I have had them done at other salons they last 4 weeks). Seemed relatively clean. read more

This place is amazing! It's new and everyone is so friendly. It's very clean and cute. I got dip nails and they turned out so great! I had old clunky acrylics from a different shop that I was unhappy with and Kim totally reshaped them to perfection before doing the dip. They have a wide selection of colors and every color they have a matching set, polish and gel, in case you want your toes to match. My friend got a pedicure and I didn't but they let me sit in a massage chair next to her while she has her toes done. This place was so great in service and quality - we are new regulars for sure! read more

No wonder they have high marks. This is only my 2nd time here, but they're very sweet and friendly. Quite busy, I'd suggest an appt, especially on a weekend. Came in for a pedicure. One of the best manicures I've ever had. They were gentle when cutting my cuticles, the color was perfectly applied, and the massage felt great. I felt bad bc I had walked in, asked for a manicure, and requested to be back at work by a certain time, but they still did a better job than at other places. I will definitely go back. Atmosphere is very pleasant as well, very spa-like with soothing music, clean pretty bathroom, and soothing videos on the tv. read more

I've gotten my nails done here several times now and they do the best dip manicures in town. They last the longest and look the best compared to several other places in Roseville/Rocklin. They are pretty busy and I sometimes have to wait even with an appointment but it's a small price to pay for quality nails. read more

First time was fine, second was terrible. I had a manicure with just a buff. There was a small amount of gel left on my nails. Instead of soaking she filed it off. She filed down to my nail. Some nails are so thing it hurts under hot water. She nicked and scratched the skin all over. When filing, it was not even. It's been a week and my nails are soar and jagged. I was complacent at first but it's becoming a problem because it's effecting regular activities. I also have file marks on my nails!! My nails are WORSE THAN BEFORE I WENT IN! read more

Hands down the best nail experience!! I can be a bit picky when it comes to getting my nails done and Glossy Nails never disappoints. I had recently gotten a new job that put me further away from this salon. I tried a few other salons that were close to work but none provided the same experience and quality as Glossy Nails. They remembered my name and provided excellent service. They also offer hard gel, which is a service not often available at other salons. I wanted to love it here based on the solid reviews. The salon was clean, and the owners seemed nice. My nail tech was not friendly and was visibly irritated when I didn't like the first color I chose. I made sure to tell her after the first nail. There were several pieces of cotton stuck under each finger nail after removing my polish. One was painted over with the gel. Getting my nails done is a treat, and I'm bummed it went how it did. read more

I have been going to Kim and her team ever since I started getting acrylics. They have always done an phenomenal job. My mom and I have always gotten our nails and feet done by this team and we couldn't ask for anyone better to do our nails. Kim always does a wonderful job whenever I come in and get a fill on my nails. I have never had any complaints. My nails always turn out gorgeous no matter the color combo I choose. Waited 28 minutes even with an appointment. Water is cold. Hurt my mom by cutting her toenail too short and no apology. Horrible attitude from the lady doing my moms pedi, got mad when we didn't want the expensive pedi. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK AND WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. read more

I walked in today at 3:45 pm, asked for a gel manicure and I was helped immediately. There was only 1 other customer in the salon when I arrived, but a few more came while I was there. The salon is clean and has a nice ambiance with a rock wall fountain behind the pedicure chairs. While the manicurist was removing the old gel polish I asked what dipping powder was, as all of the jars were displayed on the wall behind the manicure chairs. She stated it would last longer than gel, and would help strengthen my own nail. I'm all for that so I said lets go for it! Kim prepped my nails and Tina did the application and shaping. I LOVE the way my nails came out! They look soooo good! The powder is sheer on my nails so the white part is still slightly visible and looks very natural. I thought the price was reasonable at $35. Next time I will get a pedicure too, and update this review. read more

It was also a treat for me since I usually do my own pedicures at home nowadays, to save money. But since it's hotter weather now, thought it'd be good to have my toenails professionally painted. Wanted to make an appointment for sometime between 10:30-10:45am, but the employee asked if I could come at 11am instead, so I wouldn't have to wait. I said, no problem. Got a text confirmation immediately after, with the address of their salon. Seemed like a nice touch, so customers don't accidentally go to the wrong location or forget their appointment time. We arrived around 10:55am. Two employees inside the building, working on one customer. A few minutes later, another (younger) employee arrived. The younger employee worked on my mom and seemed pleasant. Offered us some small bottles of water. However, around 11:10am a young girl arrived and said she had an 11am appointment. She was asked to have a seat and choose a color, relax,'etc. I could feel the younger employee rushing my mom's pedicure since the other employees seemed to not be finishing anytime soon. I noticed the employee working on my pedicure didn't seem to be the most precise. There are some nail salon workers who are perfectionists, and others who do a hasty job. She was the latter. I had to ask her to fix a few areas that she had missed with the nail polish. And trust me, I'm not usually that picky about my toenails--which is why I usually can get by with at-home pedicures. Decided to be fancy and do a flower like I used to do all the time in my younger days. Big mistake. The flowers looked uneven and a mess. She seemed to know that it looked pretty bad, though she wasn't able to say much. Just kinda did an embarrassed laugh as she tried to fix it. My mom, who had finished super early, was growing tired of waiting. I explained the uneven, weird-looking flowers but my mom said nobody is going to notice my toes anyways (lol). So I just let it go. Also felt bad because it seemed like the employee only had use of one eye. The other was closed or swollen. Probably has issues with depth perception. Decided to just pay and leave instead of trying to get the flowers to be my liking. Basic pedicures are $35. There is a Yelp discount but the employee who rang me up didn't seem to know what it was. She ended up giving the discount anyways. Might be a change of ownership deal, since their parking lot sign still says "Tresor Nails." Maybe the Yelp $5 off offer was for the previous business. So many nail salons out there with better pedicures so it looks like we won't be back to this one.

I was charged $50 for dip nails plus an additional $5 for trimming/cuticle work, which I agreed to at the time, but I've honestly never been charged extra for that service before. On top of that, there was also an extra fee just to use my card. By the end, paying around $56 plus tip felt pretty expensive for the overall experience and service I received. I was also very disappointed with the time it took an hour and 30 mins just for dip . I don't mind paying higher prices when the service and atmosphere match it, but this visit didn't feel welcoming or relaxing. Normally at other salons I'm at least offered water or a drink and made to feel comfortable as a customer. Unfortunately, this experience just didn't meet my expectations.

beautiful salon & great reviews. Called an hour and half before close to see if they could get me in for a dip manicure. They said yes so I headed in. Waited about 30 mins for someone to begin (which I didn't mind since I had barley made an appointment). Then they began removing my dip VERY PAINFULLY. which is incorrect-dip should be soaked or at least every time I've had it removed previously it was. But she damaged my nails a lot by PEELING IT UP AS IF IT WAS ARYLIC. then I said something about how much damage she was causing by doing it this way-she said the damage was from the previous dip manicure was done incorrectly and the damage was already done. BEYOND DISSATISFIED. & now very disappointed with how messed up my HEALTY NAILS ARE. Which I would've waited to go in another day if she was going to hurry my manicure and damage my nails this bad but they said to come in. ): will not ever be coming back here. I absolutely LOVE this nail salon! I didn't care for the idea of someone doing my nails but my mom had been going to this nail salon with Kim. I've heard nothing but good things from my mom's experiences and so she set up an appointment for me with Kimand then I was hooked! She is so patient and sweet. She takes the time to pay closer attention to areas on my nails that were sensitive to the touch. Showing her a few pictures of some simple designs were always fun because she's been able to create what I was asking for. Everyone in the salon is so kind and helpful. Ann, one of the pedicurists, provided exceptional service with her sweet demeanor and meticulous attention to detail. She gave the best massage ever! My nails have never looked better! This salon had gone downhill, fast. I like the convenience of this salon as it is located near my house but I'd much rather drive a little farther. This is great for a basic experience but if you are hoping to be treated like a person and enjoy your time getting pampered, go elsewhere. Not worth my time or money. I just got a gel pedicure and my first time dip manicure. Two different people and they both did amazing jobs. They were gentle and exact with their polish. The owners Bao and Kim are stellar and kind. I will definitely be going back and I will recommend to all I know.
