My mom and I visited for the first time today. I love my nails! The color selection is amazing, more than I've seen before. They were very friendly and personable as well as professional. After my nails were finished, they checked and filed any little rough areas and even added a second clear coat to one of my nails I was concerned about. The inside of the salon looks lovely and is very relaxing to be in. The ladies took extra care with the whole process, even massaging my hands with some lotion. I ended up getting cat eye gell nails, something I'd never done before. They let me know the cat eye cost an additional $10 before they began, which I appreciated. I'm am very happy with how they turned out. The additional cost is worth it for the special sparkle look, enhanced by using a magnet to draw the fine glitter to a specific slant on each nail. Best nail place I've found in the area yet! LOVED it. Super clean, very well setup, the people working there were kind and attentive. I went in for an acrylic full set and walked out with a dip mani - which I had know idea even existed. She added tips in order to add some length (not much as I like my nails short) then used the dip - they look so much better than acrylics IMO. Fab place - will be going back! read more

I really like this place. They are very clean, they do a very good job and are reasonably priced. I don't live super close to here but I make the drive because I think it's worth it. Recently I came across Kim and her team at Glossy Nails after a move from the Bay Area. So many reasons why this is by far the best salon I've ever visited. Called for a same-day appt and was able to be seen right away. Got a very nice pedicure. I thought I made it clear I was a new customer though and only found out after the service that they are cash only. In fairness, there was a small sign at the cash register area but I didn't notice it when I walked in and I definitely wasn't told before my service started. Seems like an important detail to tell customers, especially since so many businesses are only doing credit card/Venmo after national coin shortages and covid precautions. I didn't have cash on me and ended up having to Venmo my nail tech, but I felt incredibly awkward not having been told their payment policy ahead of time. read more

Can't say enough about how much I love this salon! I waited to do a review until I had been a few times. This is my third Mani/pedi (1 eyebrow wax) and I will never go anywhere else. The owners are a couple, and they are the sweetest people! They always talk to you with so much respect and care. So polite, best customer service! Prices are really great as well! My favorite is it is QUIET! They play massage music and landscape scenery on the tv- no tv shows, news etc. It's so peaceful and a great place to escape! My other favorite part is how clean everything is. The colors are neatly organized on the wall for you to see, and they have samples of every color on fake nails for you to see. P.S. they also do dip nails as well but I didn't like how it makes your nails feel like acrylic. I'll stick to my gel ;) read more

Scheduled a last-minute appointment. They were very accommodating and scheduled me in without issue. The salon is gorgeous inside! Everything is new, clean, and organized. Right when I arrived, an employee pulled out a chair for me and offered me a bottle of water. The nail technician was very skilled and professional, and gave me some gorgeous acrylics. My full set of gel acrylics cost me $40 and I love them. The only issue I had was that they charge extra money for certain nail shapes. Coffin nails cost $5 extra. This isn't something I've ever heard of at a nail salon. But overall, they have AMAZING customer service and skilled technicians. I will definitely be returning! I have very dry heels and she never made me feel bad about them like other places have, or tried to get me to get the most expensive pedicure. It's a very cute place, I definitely will be going back. I am so saddened to write this review about Glossy Nails in Rocklin but I feel that I need to speak up. Let me start by saying, I have enjoyed going to Glossy nails in the past and have received decent treatments. Kim (the owner) usually does my nails and I tip her $10 each time. The past couple of times that I've gone in for my fills, she has used old nail files during my fill which is not something I am ok with. In addition, it's illegal per the CA State Board of Cosmetology to reuse nail files on multiple clients. I didn't say anything because I like the way she does my nails, so I decided yesterday 3/14/22 to bring my own nail files and asked a different technician to please use my files. I'm not sure what set Kim over the edge but she lost it on me and kicked me out of the nail salon! She told me I was lying and insisted she has never used old files, which is NOT true! She has!! Why would I bring my own in if she hadn't? I was humiliated in front of many patrons while she screamed at me and kicked me out! Needless to say, I am sad because I did not mean any offense by bringing in my own files, I just wanted clean files used during my fill. If you see any nail tech using a used file, speak up! My next step is to file a complaint with the CA State Board!! Patrons beware of how your treated at this salon! read more

Very sad to leave an updated review. Glossy Nails used to be so busy and great quality service. I recently called in with fingers crossed hoping to get in same day for a gel mani and regular pedi - thankfully I was able to come in! I was shocked when I walked in on a Saturday to see 6 staff and two customers who were leaving. It was absolutely empty on a Saturday (I've never seen this here before!). I was not able to communicate with my nail technician at all, I tried several times and we luckily got assistance but I really had to go over the services 5 different times - mind you I was the only one in there. Throughout my appointment and being the only customer inside, I was still surprised that the professionalism was not the same as it used to be. The remaining free techs were on their phones, opening packages (purses and other shopping items), counting cash on tables, folding laundry all over the counters - all end of day wrap up activities that I've never seen them do with customers inside. Pedicure - felt very minimal, didn't cut nails, massage was really weak and short. At some point the floor got flooded, maybe a pipe got loose or something - accidents happen. I was just surprised hardly anyone helped my nail technician clean up so I was waiting for a long time. Gel manicure - a second nail technician came to the pedicure station to do my gel manicure at the same time which always feels clunky and a lot of work to balance their equipment over the pedicure basin. The nail tech filed my nails so poorly, honestly they were so uneven and crooked - I had to ask many times for the nail technician to refile my nails that I lost a lot of length through the process. Ultimately she got a better shape so I appreciated that! However the actual gel manicure polish was poorly applied and I got a chip the very next day. I used to come very regularly and never had issues with my gel manicures, was that this experience was so different. Overall, I'm disappointed and feel the quality has gone down. Ill share that the owners weren't there that day and I'm not sure if that's why this experience was the way it was. I'm not ready to come back or feel it's worth it to spend almost $100 after this experience. read more

I came here saturday morning with my mom to treat her to a pedicure and manicure. This place was really close to my Mom's house which is why we chose this nail salon and very happy we did. I am in love with this place! I got a soothing pedicure with a lovely massage (I am ticklish but it was worth the giggles) and for my manicure I had ombre white/blue nails with gel polish. Jane was my nail tech for both my manicure and pedicure and she was the greatest! Service is super friendly. I highly recommend making an appointment, they do seem to have fully booked days, especially weekends. But other than that, I can't wait to come back. My nails always look great. The staff is nice, friendly, and don't skimp on the massages. The prices are reasonable; once they fixed a chipped nail for free for me. This salon is very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. Clean equipment is used. The massage chairs work. They provide complimentary bottles of water. During the pandemic, they have plexiglass at each station, hand sanitizer when you walk in, and the staff wear masks. Customers are expected to wear masks as well. Customers are spaced out. And, you are more than likely to start at your appointment time. The one drawback is that I think they only wipe down the chairs at the end of the day versus between each customer. read more

Looked like a nice place for a pedicure, however, my daughter's pedi was done before they even started mine. They had to reheat the water three times as I sat there for 30 minutes (had an appointment, also). The man who did my pedicure was nice enough, however he was in charge of cashing out all the customers AND answering the phone. It was a busy Sunday so I don't think three minutes went by without him jumping up and leaving what is supposed to be a relaxing, peaceful treat. At one point he left to do someone else's nails and another lady came to polish me. It took an hour and a half for a BASIC pedicure. Absolutely terrible for a mediocre, at best, "spa day".
