Never considered this nail spa before because of its location. Also, parking seems to be a hassle on weekends. But people who run this business seem nice. The work itself was clean. They brought out sterilized nail equipment by default. There were pedicure liners and they did not reuse the nail buffers (not many nail salons return the nail buffers to the customer after use). Also, the interior is quite well maintained. But unfortunately, It isn't well aerated. I got whiffs of those toxic chemical fumes as soon as I walked in. At some point, I could even smell cigarette smoke. Not sure where that was coming from. They really should consider getting a few portable air-purifiers. The massages weren't the most therapeutic. In-fact there was no massage with my manicure. But all-in-all, they get the job done. A reasonable $68 for a basic manicure-pedicure with nail buff + tip. I probably won't go back because of the location. But if they relocated to a better location, I'd gladly return. read more

Update...I returned and they "fixed" the dip manicure. However, the lady was not friendly and seemed annoyed with me. The fix was uneven in color and it chipped again within 5 days. I really wanted to like this place as it is nice and clean, but maybe I should try a different nail tech. read more

I went into Gloss on a whim before my trip to Ireland for St. Patty's Day this year and had a wonderful spa pedicure with hot wax treatment and a major foot massage. It was the perfect send-off before my 2 week vacation and the polish lasted (unchipped) until just a couple of weeks ago - and I did regular polish; not gel! The nail pro was very friendly while she worked and I enjoyed the massage chair as I relaxed. The salon is big and bright with lots of natural light and it's very clean inside. I think it depends on who helps you, because my pedicure turned out lovely, but manicure made me come home and cry. I kept telling the technician as we went along, I don't think this feels right, there's some gel under my nail and I can feel it. She insisted it was fine, but I could see the problem clear as a bell, and eventually just picked up the tool and removed the goop myself. It's a very sloppy, gloopy gel manicure, and I just wanted it to be over so I could leave. It's not neat, some nails aren't painted all the way, it's very thick and uneven - honestly it looks like I painted my nails myself with two left hands. read more

I came on a Saturday afternoon close to 3. No appointment, just walked over from Heavenly Bistro, and I asked if they had availability for a manicure and pedicure. The place was packed, and the owner first said she couldn't squeeze me in, which I understood since I was a walk in. But then I asked her if I could just get a pedicure. That sealed my fate . She smiled and told me that would work and to check back at 4. I told her I'd wait right in front, went to the 7/11 for cash, and came back. I waited and ended up having some great conversations with other ladies who were waiting to be seen, too. I even made new connections! Started reading my book then the next thing I know, I was being called for my deluxe pedicure. Itwaseverythingya girl needed on this Saturday, okay?! The woman who blessed my sad, sad, in dire need of some TLC toes, took her time and was so intentional with me. From my scrub to massage to painting and more. It was exactly what I needed. The prices are going up March 1, but this salon is worth it. I'm sorry that others had not so good experiences, but I can't say the same for myself. From being accommodated after walking in to the ambience to the service, I will be making this my new nail home for sure. read more

Always comes out great and does exactly what you ask! I got shellac done on my nails today and I she did not mention her name so I am not sure by who. Well she did a great job. When she saw the little imperfection she fixed it instead of just leaving it there. They have lots of colors to choose from both regular and shellac. Definitely don't come here if you're on a tight schedule. This was our second time going there & each time we made an appointment, yet waited 30+ minutes. We came into a packed salon with not enough techs to see us all in a timely matter. After sitting in a backless chair for 20 minutes, we were guided to the pedicure chairs to wait until we were called. Mind you, we were only here for manicures. Make sure you ask to have your cuticles clipped, otherwise they get completely overlooked -- even if they're bad. The final product isn't bad, but I think we may continue our journey at finding a salon we love & don't have to wait 30+ minutes for every time we come. Oh also, not all techs know how to do a French manicure... which is a pretty common thing to ask for, I'd think. & our first time there, my tech yelled across the salon, "No tip?".... even though I was trying to make change for her in the first place.
