I've been coming to Kool Nails since I moved to Walnut Creek in August 2024. I used to come every two weeks like clockwork, but unfortunately, I've had to slow down since being laid off. That said, I absolutely love this place! The quality of the products is excellent, the ambiance is lovely, and their equipment is top-notch. The staff are amazing so friendly and professional, and they know me by name now. I often got special designs on my nails, and they always nailed it. I even grew my real nails really long, and they constantly helped maintain them, patching and fixing broken nails so I didn't have to cut them. I've recently gone back to acrylics, but I just want to say these ladies are incredible. They actually clean your cuticles properly, and they're even great at handling ingrown toenails. But the cuticles work is great which, as a Brazilian girl, is a massive deal since so many places don't do it right. I love coming here and will continue to do so as long as I can. I got a decent manicure and pedicure (certainly for the price). This will definitely be a spot I go to when I am not wanting a luxurious nail salon experience. Everyone working there was incredibly nice and did a really good job on my nails. They definitely took the time to make sure each nail looked great. There were a ton of color options. I've been looking for a new nail shop and I've been here once before but just to have them remove old nails. I came for a fresh Gel X set and a gel pedicure. Erica did my nails and OMG!!!!! My new go-to nail salon for gel-x! Highly recommend Erika for gel-x. She's meticulous with everything, from trimming to cleaning and prepping the nail properly so it's long-lasting. The first time I came, the process took almost 2 hrs because I had to remove old gel-x, and also added some design. Second time took an hour for a filling, reshaping, and color change. I also like their basic pedicure; looking forward to continuing that as well--very relaxing. I think they're reasonably priced for all of their services. Recommend making an appointment ahead of time as some days get busy. Parking can be tough but there's also some spots in the back. read more

Called and scheduled 4 people for pedicures an hour ahead. Came in and had an okay experience getting into our chairs. Felt very uncomfortable on the chair. Seems like they're just worried about getting people in and out. No skill, no customer service, no personability. We were so happy that they were able to accommodate the both of us with short notice. When we walked in, we realize that we used to go to the nail salon that was here before, but the new remodel and decor feels so upgraded. It's like a nice little relaxing Mecca when you walk through the doors and see all the upgraded equipment. I like that when we sat down, they offered us water and hot tea. The both of us made an appointment to get our nails done. We both had a full set of acrylics put on for a wedding that we were going to visit and I had a regular pedicure while my daughter had a French pedicure. I love the fact that they took their time with my daughter and her nails turned out beautifully. She wanted a little gradient with a different design on every finger and have little shining gems on her nails. The best thing about it is that when we were traveling, people would give her compliments on her hands then entire time or her catch a beam of sunlight and sparkle. We were both really happy with our manicures, but not so happy with our pedicures. Next time, we will get our manicures at Kool Nails because they do a great job at manicures. read more

I have never had such quality work done, I mean the amount of precision, CARE, and TIME that she puts in to my nails blows me away every time, I always leave completely satisfied. Nicky is AMAZING!! I haven't gotten a pedicure since October and a manicure in forever. Needless to say my feet were really beat up--Nicky got rid of all my calluses and made sure my feet were smooth and soft before moving on to the next step of the pedicure. This place was okay. Best thing about our experience there was that they had availability to see us with no appointment. The manicure was just okay. I don't polish my nails, so mine was super quick and I thought I might get extra massage time or a reduced price, but the hand massage was very quick ( less than 4 minutes) and they still charged me $25 for a basic manicure with no polish! My little sister also got a manicure and wanted nail art (a bat on her ring fingers). They changed me $45 for her and the bat looked terrible! Couldn't even tell what it was. Not going back.
