I've been seeing Kelli for about 3 months now, and all that I can say is that she is so amazing! Not only is she the best waxer that I've ever had, but she's also super sweet and so fun to talk to. No spots get missed with her. And our conversations are so fun! They often distract me from the pain. She makes what could be considered very uncomfortable... super relaxing. She's clean and thorough and all of her recommendations have worked for me thus far. Yep, she definitely knows what she's doing. I've been to other waxers who are nice but they always seem to be in a rush to get to their next client. Often times, this has resulted in patches of hair being missed or uncomfortable situations. I can honestly say that I haven't once felt like this with Kelli. She never rushes, she's super patient, and she genuinely cares. She uses high quality products and you can tell by how smooth and clean your skin will be after the wax. Her prices are super reasonable, especially for the Walnut Creek area . I have thick nose hair...I mean REALLY thick nose hair and bushy eyebrows. I had never considered waxing let alone sugaring because I'm a guy. Making the appointment was easy and I got a text confirmation and reminder (which is important) The business is located in Palos Verdes mall inside Beauty Lounge. Kelli took me to her workspace which was clean and peaceful. I explained that I had never done waxing and was relying on nose hair trimmers and my barber to do my eyebrows. I was nervous one about the pain and second ending up looking feminine. Kelli was kind patient and professional, she explained step by step what she would be doing and it really calmed me down and I never felt rushed. This made a huge difference in my first experience. We ended up doing wax for my nostrils and septum and sugaring paste (Which she told me is all natural and locally made), for my eyebrows. Today was my first time sugaring and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better first experience. I used to get waxed pretty normally for about 4+ years and have a pretty good pain tolerance so I'd rate the pain of waxing a 4-5 and getting sugared by Kelli was easily a 2. Being new to the area I am relying on Yelp reviews to find new everything and I am so so so glad I found Kelli! She walked me through the prep process, gave ample time to get situated, and made the process so comfortable. This was also the quickest I have ever had a Brazilian, eyebrow, and lip wax done. I have been sugaring with Kelli for about one year. Her attention to detail won me over. She is very attentive, somewhat OCD when it comes to hair removal and I couldn't imagine a better fitting quality for this kind of service. She is very versatile and works with not only sugaring but also facials. Sugaring btw can be done in your entire body. I do my face, underarms, Brazilian and sideburns. I have a sensitive skin and have never had a reaction which is a major plus for me. My favorite thing about Kelli is that she is super fast. Fast service and quality?!! Yes, she's got it. I am sold. Appointment booked for 5:30pm... at 5:43pm, Larry is about to leave for the day, but makes it a point to tell Kelli that I'm out here waiting for her before he leaves. By 6:40pm I'm still waiting without so much as an acknowledgement from Kelli. I can understand 15 minutes late, or even 30 given the current circumstances with COVID, maybe requiring extra time for cleaning in between clients... but come on, over an hour?! I'm thinking that she has absolutely no regard for people's time, and must think that I have nothing better to do than to wait OVER AN HOUR for her to show her face... I would've left a long time ago if I wasn't so desperate for this service... Finally a co-worker gets her to come out to talk to me, just to let me know that she can't do a lip service... are you fricken kidding me right now?! I waited OVER AN HOUR for you to tell me that? Kelli says that they tried to call/text me to let me know before the appointment. True Sugaring is absolutely the best process for removing hair...ever! No wax strips or burned skin! No ingrowns! Add to that, the specialist, Kelli; she's thorough, gently considerate...and doesn't leave a whole bunch of broken hair. She didn't rush my session and spoke in such a calming manner. This was my first session with Kelli. I had been going to someone else whose availability has become challenging for me. So, I gave Kelli a try. Plus, she responds to her messages in a timely manner. Yes you'll have to let the hair grow back a little before returning. However, each time the hair just grows thinner and never looks as gross as stubble. Eventually it's really not much hair. Went to see Kelli and she was great. The service is top notch here: space is clean (inside a salon); she provides numbing spray which helps a lot. The sugaring was minimally painful; she Ben gives you a fun stress ball just in case. Kelli knows her trade very well and you can tell by her technique. The least painful sugaring I've ever had. I recently went to The Beauty Lounge for a Brazilian wax. After talking to Kelli she educated me about sugaring. Sugaring is hair removal but much better for your skin and all natural. After the sugaring my skin looked amazing! Waxing is great and gets all the hair off but sugaring is exfoliating and doesn't hurt as much! It was a great experience to try something new and I will be continuing in sugaring instead of waxing in the future. Kelli knows everything there is to know about the sugar process and very professional, you can definitely tell that she loves her job and it shows by what a great job she does at it! For your first sugar it is the same price as a regular was, after that sugar is only 3-5$ more! My girlfriend brought me here to have me get my chest hair removed and Kelli recommended I try to get it sugared and it was honestly 10x better than my past experiences waxing; I was sooo stoked to learn that there's a method involving less pain out there. As nice as Kelli was, I sadly can't say the same for her sugaring. I went in for my Brazilian and underarms and was appalled at how long it took. I was there for nearly an hour, whereas every other esthetician who does sugaring takes about 30 minutes for not only my Brazilian and underarms, but also my face and nipples. Kelli kept commenting that she needed a thinner sugar mixture for my super fine hair, but in my 6 years of being sugared, not a single other person has had issues with it aside from a few strays that has to be tweezed. And speaking of strays, I sure did have to tweeze a lot once I got home. She gave me a mirror to check while there and I thought they were all gone, but the lighting at home was better and I saw a lot. My hair also started growing back the next week, whereas it usually starts growing back 2 weeks later. My hair is much thicker and more "poke-y" now than it has been in a long time. I guess since the last time I was traveling and had bad luck with finding someone to properly sugar me. I'm giving her 3 Stars because to your average person this is still way better than waxing or shaving. But honestly for me, in comparison to my other estheticians, this was more of a 2. :/ I might as well have been waxed for how the hair looks and feels now. Such a bummer to spend so much on something that doesn't even give the result you want. read more

I was referred to Kelli for a sugaring Brazilian by a good friend of mine, who used to see her back when she worked in the LA area. After some research we found out Kelli had moved up to the bay area, so I was excited to be able to see her and check out her services. I made my appointment with Kelli, and when I met her she was the sweetest person ever, she was very attentive and paid close attention to detail. She answered all my questions I had and made me feel very comfortable with her. I did the "Pretty and Pampered" which was a Brazilian wax with a mask afterwards as well as a hand or foot massage. And let me tell you IT'S THE BEST!! Sugaring is far less painful than regular waxing is, and my skin is never red or irritated afterwards. My hair has grown back alot thinner and some hairs don't grow back at all anymore. I have been coming to Kelli for about a year now for my Brazilian waxes and underarms. I'm not normally one for facials or even taking care of my skin for that matter; however, my cousin suggested that I try a facial by Kelli because I had a job interview. Not only is Kelli the sweetest person on the planet, but she is really all about making you feel comfortable and just wants you to have the greatest experience. Now I'm not sure if foot rubs are normally part of a facial, but I felt that Kelli really put in effort to go the extra mile of trying to put you at ease.
