Did a Sisters nail day (mani and pedis for all) and it was a smooth process! I made an online reservation but was only able to put for 2 people so I called and they were able to accommodate all 3 of us. Spacious and bright location with soooo many colors to choose from. Clean as well so I was happy about that. Everyone was super nice, we got sparkling waters and little rice cake snacks, yum! They were starting to pick-up so we did wait a bit in-between clients as all the technicians were multitasking. Nevertheless, they were nice and I didn't feel rushed when they were working on me. Due to the wait, the owner/manager did throw in a free little extra service which was nice of her. I came out paying just a little under $100 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. read more

I walked in for a gel manicure as I'm heading out for a trip and wanted to have decent nails. The gel manicure was $40 it included hand wash, cutting of cuticle and gel nail polish. I was surprised no hand massage like other nail places do. Therefore giving 3 stars. I had just cut my toes and inquired on a toe gel nail polish. I did not get a pedicure only nail polish. My nails were not painted so no nail polish remover was $35. Total was $85. Is it too much? Thoughts? The total service took about 30-35 minutes ($75). I do like the look of my nails. I left $9 dollar tip. The place is nice with multiple massage chairs for pedicures and table/chairs manicure. The vibe is vibrant. read more

Amazing service! I had my nails done here and they weren't to my liking, I went back in and they completely removed and redid my gelx set and made sure it was perfect. I'm super picky and they never made me feel like I was doing or asking too much! Not to mention, she removed and redid my set in 45 minutes and these are the best gelx I've had in sooooo long! read more

Cloud 9 does excellent manicures and pedicures. I am so happy that I've found them to be my go-to nail salon. I recommended making an appointment beforehand (you can call or book a reservation online). The prices are fair! What stands out is everyone who works there is incredibly kind. When you get started, they ask you where you parked so they can help you track your parking meter. They are great at color suggestions. read more

This is the third and last time i Going to this salon. Everytime they would try to just finish the job thats it . This is my builder gel . My other hand had few broken nails so i had to go here which was the mistake i made. They put acrylics on the broken ones which is not even . I told her it looks uneven she said its going to be fine . Spending $70 and getting the shortest nails not even the almond shaped. My nails are not even . read more

WeI came in on a Saturday at 11:30am for pedicures. The ladies were very hospitable! We were greeted and the three of us were seated quickly. My husband was with us and they allowed him to hang out on a massage chair while he waited. This was the first time he was in a nail salon. The massage chairs are the absolute best ever! I have been to many nail salons and these chairs where ahhhhhmazing! Tracy helped me and two other women helped my friends. Unfortunately, I did not get their names (sorry). We all loved our pedicures! Tracy somehow convinced my husband to get a manicure and although he felt uncomfortable at first, she managed to convince him to indulge. He absolutely loved it and plans to return because they cleaned his toes up very well. He definitely understands why women enjoy getting their nails done now. Great experience! I called in the morning for an afternoon appt for 2 of us, they checked us in right away and greeted us with la croix and cold water bottles. I got a gel pedi which was thorough and good, and my niece got fake nails w/ a flower design which looked awesome (also very thorough). As many others have stated in previous reviews, Cloud 9 is the best nail salon in Walnut Creek. I'll be totally honest, I'm one of "those" woman who are SUPER PICKY about their nails. No, I'm not bitchy/rude but I have expectations of how mani/pedis should be if I pay good money to do them at a salon. There have been periods where I've just done my own manis due to being unable to find a nail salong that could be consistent. Needless to say I take it seriously and some ladies can probably relate to this. It's not easy to find a salon that can deliver consistent results no matter what tech you go to. Since moving to Walnut Creek 4 1/2 years ago I've gone to every salon in the area a number of times. Out of all the salons Cloud 9 delivers the most consistent quality. There hasn't been an instance where I wasn't happy with their work. Their techs are so nice and friendly. They take their time to get it right while also being open to feedback. They want to get it right, ensuring you're happy with the result. The cuticle care is careful each time which I really appreciate so much b/c my cuticles have been nicked haphazardly many times by other techs who are just rushing. My nails look fabulous every time. I've been here a handful of times because the staff is very kind, but the quality is consistently disappointing. Within about 1.5 weeks, I always have a broken nail or an uneven, rough finish. I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years and have only had maybe two broken nails in my life, so this happening every time is unacceptable, especially for how overpriced they are. The final straw was noticing what looks like the start of a fungal infection on my thumbnail after my last visit. That is disgusting and something I have never experienced in my entire life at any salon. I'm really disappointed because I wanted to like this place, but I will not be returning. read more

I went in today hoping to find a home base nail shop instead of driving all the way to Union City for my usual salon. Cloud 9 is walking distance from work in downtown Walnut Creek, which is a major plus. The salon is clean, they use sanitized tools and most importantly they do really good work. I came in with a completely butchered gel x touch up. Kathy was so meticulous, gentle and salvaged my nails. I can't say enough times how happy I am with the results. She cleaned up my cuticles after fixing the mess of nails I showed up with and really made sure they were picture worthy and that I was happy. Thank you so much! read more

I unfortunately had a bad experience here at Cloud 9. I called them from home and asked if they had time for a pedicure in about 10 minutes (I live downtown), and the woman said yes come in! I went in and there was only one woman working, and finishing up a manicure. I ended up waiting about 15 minutes, then another customer came in, apparently with an appointment. So the woman working said oh I have to serve her first because she has an appointment (understandable), and mentioned her colleague is on the way and will be here soon for my pedicure. I ended up waiting over 45 minutes in total, and finally had to just tell the woman that I'm going somewhere else, which she said is "probably a good idea." I wish she would have told me when I called that she didn't have time to take me. Super disappointing, frustrating, and a waste of time. read more

Best in town! You can do more classic styles or even bring in an image and their technicians are very skilled and friendly. They have a ton of color options and stay up with the latest trends and styles. Give them a heads up though for larger parties, but You will not be disappointed in trying this luxurious experience! I've tried a few nail salons in the area specifically for pedicures and feel like all the other nail places never do a good job (the shape, cleaning, or color is off somehow). Hands down, Cloud 9 is the best for pedicures. They do a great job, are clean, thorough, and the staff is so nice. Love the service and also the amenities - snacks, water, soda.... the experience is just great compared to other places. They have a ton of colors, the vibe is calming, and the price is amazing for what you get. I've had Lan for both of my visits and I highly recommend her. She's so sweet and does a GREAT job! Nikki and the other ladies are so awesome! I started coming here a few months ago because of how reasonably priced the pedicures are. I had a great experience and decided to come back to try builder gel for the first time. I've had bad experiences with acrylics in the past, but Nikki has done a great job teaching me about builder gel and my nails are healthier than ever! Nikki is very good at shaping and making your nails feel like there is barely anything on it, even with the builder gel. Everyone has been so sweet and my mom and I love coming here! read more

Amazing first experience here! I received a gift card for my birthday to come here and treated myself to some birthday nails Nikki was my nail tech and she is absolutely amazing. She was so warm and welcoming, very patient with walking me through different options based on what I was looking for, and she made sure my nails were exactly how I wanted them. I appreciated that she constantly checked with me throughout the service to make sure we were on the same page. My nails were 10/10- I got so many compliments on them and still do 2 weeks later! I opted for the collagen upgrade which came a hand and arm scrub and massage. Worth every penny. I can't wait to come back A couple other things I appreciated: snacks and drinks as a welcome, and that they are mindful of how bad Walnut Creek is for parking tickets, so they will help you keep time in case you need to go put money in the meter. read more

They were so friendly and sweet! They turned on our massage chairs for us, offered us waters and snacks, and were incredibly thorough in our pedicures. I can't state enough how kind these women were who took care of us. They didn't even try to upsell us on our packages, which was nice to not have felt pressured while enjoying our pedicures. This was my third time coming here and everyone has always been welcoming. I came in with the expectation of receiving what I asked for which was a French tip cat eye design. I immediately knew that would be an issue because of the back and forth conversation between the nail tech and her colleague. I simply told her it was okay..I'll just get a regular French tip. I was not satisfied with the end result of my nails and was charged $80! I am getting married tomorrow and expected to look and feel beautiful. I left there feeling annoyed and in disbelief. We should not have to pay for a service if it is not great quality or to our liking. And if the service provider knows they aren't skilled in something they shouldn't attempt to do it and still charge someone. I was afraid to even go back to have them correct it because they didn't do right the first time. I also don't appreciate how I was asked about something being used on my feet when they scrub them being an additional $10 what happened to that being included in the service? This is hands down the best nail salon in Walnut Creek. I've been coming here for a few months now and I'm seriously impressed every single time. I work in restaurants, so my hands go through a lot -- but they always manage to make my nails look fresh and perfect again. I leave feeling like a new woman every time. The attention to detail is amazing, and all the ladies are so sweet and welcoming. I used to get Russian manicures, thinking they were the best... but honestly, they were making my cuticles worse. After a short consultation, they gave me the best person for the job. I also got a deluxe pedicure with a massage . The prices are very fair. Everything was wonderful, and I will be back in a couple weeks. Perfect Location; I have been going here for a few months now and I will say that my favorite thing to do is go get my nails done and walk around downtown Walnut Creek to grab a bite and do some shopping afterwards.
