Your average breakfast joint. Nothing too crazy about this place and I had to wait 2 hours for a table of three.

Three of us went to their new location for breakfast. We all ended up sick- I had the worst of it, throwing up and diarrhea for two days. My friends had rumbly tummies and some diarrhea for the afternoon. I believe mine was worse because I had poached eggs, and they had scrambled. I emailed the restaurant to let them know what happened (on March 20th), and, as of April 9th, I haven't received any response. I'm pretty disappointed, as the food was good and they're a staple restaurant in Seattle, but, getting sick and getting no response from the restaurant is a pretty bad look. Won't be going again, unfortunately. read more

Glo is a pretty neat breakfast nook in downtown capitol Hill. Great place for hat traditional American breakfast fix. Pros: very attentive staff Coffee while waiting Good food portions Cons: wait time was a little long Food can be better Corned beef hash was good. they used a braised pork which made a patty type texture and was more succulent than dry. read more

I loved this place! You have to show proof of vaccination to get in. But once inside, I loved the atmosphere. Our service was fantastic. And the food was some of the best breakfast I've had in months! Simple hash browns, but they were nice and crispy and exactly what I needed! read more

Coffee was good, excellent service. The waffle was mid but everything else was good. Located in a great area.

I head to Glo's once or twice a month after a late-night out. You will not find a better 3am waffle in Capitol Hill (get it with fruit - it's worth it). As mentioned by several other folks, the place is teeny - so big groups need not apply, and your wait times to get seated and to get food can be lengthy. If you have the time and energy, though, Glo's is well worth the wait. The standard American breakfast fare of your nostalgic dreams. My go-to orders are the waffle with fruit or the Californian eggs Benedict, with a side of bacon. Whether you're going savory (their hashbrowns are crispy and salty perfection) or sweet (their waffles and French toast are so fluffy), you can't go wrong. If you do decide to go during the day when wait times are longer, definitely call ahead. They'll often put you on the list from your call and let you know how long the wait is, so you don't have to make the trek just to wait outside for half an hour. read more

Glo's is great, but be prepared to wait! Easily one of the best breakfast joints in the city. The food is amazing, which is why we are ok waiting 45 minutes to an hour for a table sometimes. read more

This cute little restaurant is so homey! We were seated right away, although there seemed to have been a breakfast rush right after we were seated, so we got there at a good time! It took us a little while to get our food but that just seemed to be because of how busy they were and they were a bit understaffed. However, our food was worth the wait! It was so so yummy and the hash browns were cooked perfectly. I definitely recommend this place if you want some delicious breakfast! read more

I really enjoyed the old Glo's location and was excited to try the new one. I was also excited to learn that that the staff have formed a union and that Glo's is now one of the only independent union restaurants in Seattle. However, the wait was 50 minutes outside in the rain. It's awesome that this business is having success but so very disrespectful of our time to make customers wait for almost an hour to be seated and not to offer open table or another reservation system to respect our time. I'll be back when they met me make a reservation instead of waiting an hour before I can order a cup of coffee. read more

Amazing food, great service and location. Probably the best breakfast I've had in the 3 years I've lived in Seattle.

Just about the worst place to go. They don't care about their customers safety. Had this guy with a knife enter the establishment acting crazy. Knew him by name and when we payed and were leaving he tried to attack us. They didn't care if we were okay (2girls and a baby) they gave "mica " coffee and hugged him after he attacked us and other people that were walking in the street. Cops came and the employee they talked to said he wouldn't release information. No food is worth getting stabbed. If negative stars were available I would -10000 read more

PLS NOTE:CLOSED UFN D/T FIRE I love this fantastic breakfast place which has the best benedicts in town as the regular breakfast fare from pancakes to omelettes. They also make some darn tasty hashbrowns and a REALLY good coffee cake (spring for the fresh fruit to go w it). I am a creature of habit, so I always get the same thing, my son & I split the cake/fruit, and the Blackstone Benedict w hashbrowns (bacon on the side). Of course I can't finish the carbs, but it's a perfect taste of everything I want out of life. I am a Seattleite in that I really prefer espresso w fake milk over drip coffee & cream, so take heart that there are coffee options in the hood (even if it's just a Starbuck's across the street. It was good but it took a really long time to get food and service. I'd try again but wasn't blown away by anything.

Brought a group of 4 for breakfast at 7 am when the restaurant advertises it is open. Be warned - it does NOT open at 7. Well technically it is open at 7 but they won't serve you food until 9. Confused? ME TOO Plus if you show up at 7 and ask for breakfast they will talk down to you like ur stupid or something. Forget that just went to lost lake instead. read more

I was so excited to finally try Glo's because every time I've walked by it, the wait was way too long. This time I swung by around 11am on a weekday and the wait wasn't nearly as bad (~30 min) so I opted in. With the bench outside, the wait for a table really didn't feel as long. What was long was the wait to get our food. I want to say we waited about an hour to get our food, which was way too long seeing as we just ordered two entrees during our lunch break (two salmon benedicts). From my observations, it looks like there may only be one main chef in the kitchen and she/he goes table by table instead of having multiple chefs prepare for multiple tables. Besides the crazy wait, the food is on par with your local brunch joint. I would skip adding the avocado to your benedict because it tasted more like guacamole since it is mashed up and not slices. Service here is also great and people are nice. read more

Came here based on Yelp reviews and was not disappointed! From the outside nothing amazing looking but once you get inside it's awesome! First off you will wait there aren't very many seats inside so you will wait. We came on a Friday morning and we still waited about 20 minutes. The food is solid we got the waffles with fruit, and a scramble and it was a TON of food! If we weren't going to the airport we would have packed it up and would have saved it for lunch. Not overly pricey but we did spend quite a bit here adding on sides etc. The coffee cake is a must get if you are here! So make sure you save a little room for that, it comes out piping hot and delicious! Service was pretty good considering how busy it was so no complaints there. This is a must if you're in the area and looking for a good solid breakfast! read more

Service was terrible. Staff was rude and aggressive when feedback was provided. Will not be going back.

They have no idea how to run a waitlist. They will tell you it's 1 hour wait - no matter how busy it is. Turns out it will be anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour. Please learn to give accurate wait times read more

Love this classic diner in Seattle! Small very friendly atmosphere and just a classic breakfast joint in capitol hill! Large portions and inexpensive breakfast! The major tip is you should call before you go there and put your name on the list. I would call an hour before you go and be prepared to still wait a bit when you go! The only negative is the service was pretty slow for just an eggs Benedict and omelette so be prepared to wait. Also the benedicts were cold. read more

I agree with the many reviews, this place is tiny, but worth the wait. We came around 9AM, place was full so waited about 30 minutes. Service was attentive, coffee and water refills were a plenty. I settled on the Corned Beef Hash, the serving size was large, enough for 2 people to split, it was delicious and filling. My sister ordered the Stuffed French Toast, she gave me a little bite was sweet and moist. I also tried a bite of the ham, it was thick and tasty. ImThey didn't have any alcohol, which I often like to partake in at brunch time, so that was a tad disappointing. Also, it seemed a little pricey for basic brunch food, entrees $15-18 a piece, but I would recommend if you're in the area. read more

I so wanted to love Glo's but Glo's did not love me back. I came in well after the breakfast rush on a weekday and just before lunch. There were many open booths and tables, but it took about 10 minutes to be seated. Then once seated, it took a while to be greeted. Then once greeted and with a very simple order placed, it took about 20 minutes to get my food -- which turned out to be a totally wrong order (completely, totally wrong). I pointed it out to a server, and they took it away, and then I waited another 20 minutes for the correct order. No apology nor explanation was offered. The servers and other attendants seemed to be socializing with one another a lot, but not attending to customers. On top of all of that, the food was very overpriced for what it is. I was very disappointed. I am patient and understanding with service, having been in the service industry myself, but this was quite appalling. read more

I was EXTREMELY disappointed because this restaurant turned my family away on our special trip to Seattle. I understand we had a large party but they up didn't even consider separating us. Instead of also allowing a prolonged wait time, they said it would take too long. Ruined my family trip and made my kids and grandmother starve meanwhile we looked around. Although several tried to be polite she did not accommodate and told us to call next time as if it would have made a difference. read more

I never post reviews, but my experience with Glo's was frustrating enough to motivate me. I ordered takeout from there the other morning. I got home with my food, after waiting past the time they told me my food would be ready and after tipping very well despite the delay, only to find out that they gave me a freaking burnt pancake. I ordered a short stack of pancakes, so there were only two and one of them was literally burnt - on both sides! And, the most annoying part, they tried to hide the burnt pancake under the other non-burnt pancake, so even if I had checked my food before leaving the restaurant, I wouldn't have seen it. Whoever put the pancakes in the to-go box absolutely knew this pancake was burnt, and it absolutely would've been sent back if it was served to someone in the restaurant. Since this was my first (and last) experience with Glo's, I don't know if this lack of integrity is a systemic problem there or just caused by a single lazy and dishonest employee. But if this is the level of care they put into all their food, I would not recommend eating there. Who knows where else they are cutting corners. To be fair, the non-burnt pancake was actually good though. read more

So glad Glo's is back! And better than ever! Used to go to the old spot when I was much younger and living on the hill. Now I drive out from the 'burbs (ok, not quite, but a bit north) to eat at the new version. Sometimes with kids in tow on non-school days (they love it!). More often just hubs and I on a weekday "working from home". Weekday waits are not bad at all and often seated immediately. I love how nice and friendly everyone who works there is. The place is kinda Norman Rockwell with the decor and the nicely presented, actually cheerful-looking, food! In the middle of Capitol Hill. Cracks me up :) Food: This is still the place to get eggs benedict. Classic versions, very well prepared. I love their scrambles and omelets though and those crispy AF hashbrowns! The buttermilk pancakes are also really good! Get them with a side of fruit which always comes super fresh and beautifully presented. They make a banana taste fancy. One miss is the french toast. They could use better bread for it. But I have to admit I'm always most excited for the coffee cake that we get before the meal! I know, indulgence! But it is SO f'ing good! And it goes so well with a black coffee while waiting for the main event. You cannot skip it. Even if you are getting a waffle to share after your omelet. I guess it's a good thing I don't live nearby anymore. This is a quintessential breakfast spot that has everything you could want and more. And gives us old fuddy duddys a great excuse to revisit the old haunts in a fun neighborhood. read more

I love eating here, I live across the street. I love the food and love that it's an old staple! Food is great. I usually come alone but whenever I want to bring a friend or family, I know to get in on their waitlist almost an hour before hand sometimes even 2! Waits are long given it gets pretty busy and it's not a huge restaurant. Another thing I would say is that the customer service is spotty. Not always the best in that area. Waiters are not always friendly, I know to order everything I want and need in one go because I'm not sure if I'd be checked on in a timely manner by the time I'm ready to go. Other than these small obstacles, I love Glos. Their corned beef hash is my favorite! read more

Glo is my go-to for higher quality dinner style brunch. They have all the classics (eggs, bene's, omelets, pancakes, waffles, etc) but my favorite options have been some of their specials. Particularly if you are lucky enough to be there when they do their lemon poppyseed pancakes with their homemade lemon curd. YUMM! It's a small establishment (probably only seats around 40 max) so plan on having to wait for a table once you get there and make sure you are ok without too much of a space bubble when you eat. Also, there isn't much space at the front desk area inside so their policy is to wait outside till your table is called. Please dress accordingly (in case it is cold). I see a recent one-star post from someone who was angry about this. I do understand her concern, but as a guest of the establishment, I also would not want a crowd of people standing over me witing for a table while I eat breakfast. There really isn't room and it impedes the service staff as well. One HUGE positive to know about GLO's....they are open extremely late on the weekends. They open at midnight on Friday nights and stay open till 4pm on Saturday. Then again Midnight on Saturday until 4pm on Sunday. Oh, and don't forget 7am-3pm Mon-Friday. So when you want great breakfast food after you long weekend night, Glo's is the place to go! My recommendations: Any of the Bene's, Aaron Favorite, or any of their specials. read more

At 5am on a Saturday morning, Glo's was perfect for a great breakfast. A quaint restaurant with delectable food, unmatched service and calming atmosphere. There isn't much room, but it's best that way...I would say this is the perfect dinner for a date or a session with your best friend. I had multiple entrees, because I had to give you Yelpers the real deal mouth-watering-mental food coma...I Promise you won't be dissatisfied or disappointed. For the ladies there's a couple of cute chefs too. They put the bacon right on top of the hash browns with the side of eggs any way you want them, and have a small slice of grapefruit nestled on top of shredded red cabbage. The French toast is filled with cream cheese, Marion berry jam, and lightly powdered with sugar. The fruit and yogurt is one of the best, all their fruits taste beyond fresh! The cost for all this was $45-50...but the portions, service, and food were worth the early morning dash out the door. read more

The food was good, and portions were generous, but what really dictates my rating is the fact that our waitress did everything but provide service to us. We waited approximately 50 minutes for our food, and watched others who came after us get their orders before we did, which tells me that they probably forgot about us. My friend had also ordered an orange juice, which should've been brought up first thing. They actually forgot about that too, and only ended up bringing it out after we reminded them AFTER we waited almost an hour for the food. To top things off, we had to go up to front just to pay because our waitress again neglected to even bring us the check as she seemed more engrossed in a conversation about her tattoos with another customer at the bar (not a random assumption, we actually saw her pointing to her tattoos and talking about them with the customer, instead of tending to our table so....). Overall, 2/5, and the only reason I'm not giving them a 1 is because the food was decent. read more

The space is small and super cute, with pictures and articles all over the walls. I got the classic French toast with cinnamon raisin bread and it was fantastic.
