I hate this so much that I've bought my last two cars from Carvana simply because I wouldn't have to speak to anyone. I find the stereotypical car-buying experience (new and, especially, used) to be unnecessarily stressful and taxing. Today, this has changed. When I found a slightly better deal locally than I did on Carvana, I took the plunge. From the beginning, Angela was super helpful and responsive. She didn't insist on talking on the phone and was happy to text details, which is infinitely more manageable during the workweek. When it came time to make the trek to Austin e Autos, Angela let me know that she would be off that day and handed off the deal to Isaac. Isaac is the best. Isaac put us through the paces of letting us test drive, then talking numbers. At no point did the numbers they advertised ever change. I came in with pre-approval through USAA, and they did not push me toward in-house financing. This has never happened to me before. They usually push that really hard. Once the numbers were agreed upon, we were handed over to Stephanie for the paper signing. This was equally painless, and there was no push to buy extended warranties, wheel insurance, GAP, etc, etc, etc. The numbers we discussed with Isaac were the exact numbers we signed off on with Stephanie. Incredibly painless, transparent, and honest process. My wife loves her car, and I am very impressed by the buying experience. If you're in the market for a used EV, look here first. All the stars. we purchased a used vehicle from austin subaru in 2025. we paid over $2000 for a lifetime warranty…read moreon the drivetrain. at the time it was necessary to have regular oil changes at 6 months or 6000 miles. now it is august 2026. i called to find out what this warranty covered. the service people could not give me a list of parts or issues which would or would not be covered. one of them said that the required interval between oil changes was now 5000 miles and no time interval. moving targets are fun except when you are charged thousands of dollars to miss them... i decided it's not worth wasting time to get confusing and conflicting information from austin subaru. i hope to not have a break down and discover i've sent $2000 down a rat hole. wish me luck.

Horrible experience…read more Bought a black 2023 Honda CRV on May 4. This review is under a pseudonym but they'll know who I am. The manager, Robert Furcinitti, had a sales associate bring me a sheet of financing options with a "7%" interest rate. I immediately knew from looking that the rate was closer to 20%, and I voiced this immediately. The sales associate, Arlie (spelling?), assured me this was a 7% interest rate in response to my concern. Not even close. So I asked for Robert, who came in and gaslit me that the numbers I was looking at were accurate. I pulled out a financing calculator and showed him 7% would be about $100 less per month than what he's showing me. He backed down, got a new paper with new payments, and sheepishly acknowledged he "made a mistake". Sure you did. The amount of money he would have grifted me out of was about $6000 over 5 years. When I purchased insurance through their partner, [removed as part of edit] and Pronto insurance, they assured me they would "prorate" my insurance if I switched. There was a surprise $84 fee, meaning I was charged $110 for 2 days of Pronto insurance, PLUS the ~$170 fee for the insurance agent. Every step of the way I was deceived and mislead. I had to call Honda itself about the dealership and we're working through what to do about this. UPDATE: I at least got them to recover the $84 fee, but that's no thanks to Howdy Honda. For that reason I've removed the name of the insurance agent from the review.

During one of my daily searches on Auto Trader a new listing popped up for Mark Weinstein Motors. It was a "unicorn" vehicle - rare in existence - an older model, incredibly low mileage, in fantastic shape (barely driven) and the listed price was in the KBB green price range (either good or great price for the vehicle's value). I reached out to Mark, who was quick to answer any and all my questions. I was in Houston and I couldn't make the trip to Austin to see the vehicle until the weekend, but he graciously agreed to hold the vehicle for me without any downpayment once I had set an appointment for a third party inspection. Despite receiving other inquiries about the vehicle, he held it for me for almost a week and even stayed a little late on Friday for my husband's and my arrival into town. The test drive and purchase process were smooth and straightforward. Mark explained everything thoroughly and even went the extra step of fixing the temporary paper license plate on top of an old metal plate to make it more secure. It's another example of Mark's great customer service. Like his great communication from start to finish - phone calls and text messages were always answered promptly. He is good-natured and honest, which is hard to find in the car shopping business. I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle!

I had A/C electrical issues.....took a month to fix, entered someone else's name and contact info…read more on initial work order, told us it was a vacuum tube first, no charge for part, but labor was $850, didn't fix issue, replaced AC control head and blower motor $1688, did not fix A/C problem, went to pick up....gas gauge completely on empty & loose wire hanging below steering column, took vehicle back to add a few gallons and secure low hanging wire; and A/C went out again....2 weeks later ..final try was to replace fuse box $780 additional charge. Upon final receipt of vehicle, in reverse gear; rear backup camera now does not work. This is the Chevy Dealership's quality of work? To be avoided at all costs.

And after getting quoted for how much dealers are willing to pay for the car I'm down over 20k on what I bought the car for from him. Please bring a mechanic or someone to inspect the car he is selling you. Out of many used cars I have owned I have never felt this cheated out of money.

Website design, online navigation, purchase process, loan processing, and home delivery went off without a hitch. I was skeptical of making a vehicle purchase solely online. That is a big financial commitment. Plus, being a used vehicle, I typically want to see first-hand that everything is as expected. Lastly, I enjoy grinding down car salesmen for every dollar and add-on :) That said, Carvana has the best quality (and quantity) photos I've seen, and an abundance of vehicle information. Their 3D interior/exterior photos put you in the driver's seat. So, I was not lacking for vehicle details. They called out some flaws (using that word lightly), such as driver's seat decolorization, that I do not see at all. That gives me the impression that they are very conservative with their assessments, which is good. As for price, although I was not happy about a nearly $2000 shipping charge, overall, the final bill was comparable to dealerships countrywide, and better than Kelley Blue Book (or similar). Anyhow, the shipping fee was typical for out-of-state dealerships too (assuming they were willing to ship, many do not because they can sell locally and/or do not want to deal with liability). Overall, I recommend and would buy from them again.

I've literally had this vehicle about two weeks. They did not check ANYTHING other than 'oh this 2023 still looks new stick it on the website'. Everything is on you and their return policy for you to play whack a mole and find all the things they didn't look for is only 7 days. STAY AWAY. UPDATE 8/11/2026 Carvana's contracted tow truck service told me he had all my info to give the Nissan service center. Instead he dumped my car at the dealership and told them I was on my way to fill out everything. I found out by calling this morning for a status check -- the tow truck guy didn't even give them my name or number. Carvana's response to getting a bad review is to have a bot tell me to call them and do more leg work and explaining - the definition of a policy of exhausting people by stonewalling and putting all the work on them. AGAIN STAY AWAY.
