8/13/25 per latest news Glendora Continental is for sale. I'll miss Glendora Continental restaurant.

Glendora Continental is FOR SALE from what I've read & I feel sad. I'll miss my favorite prime rib dinner. I love Glendora Continental & enjoyed their Basque inspired recipes. I'm hoping for the best for Glendora Continental .

Walked in to the bar side of the restaurant and stood around looking for a hostess. A customer walked by and said to just walk in and sort of find a seat. I guess they don't necessarily have a hostess on that side of the restaurant. Once seated I ordered the prime rib with shrimp bisque and Danielle had a wedge salad. The bisque was very good and the prime rib wasn't bad. A local establishment that you should try at least once. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Who knew there was a Basque restaurant in Glendora? Or anywhere else in Los Angeles County for that matter? Not me, until Super Elite Yelper Gary I. brought this fact to my attention. Unfortunately, this was because of an LA Times article about the restaurant being sold after decades of serving the area. Wanting to try the menu before it might disappear, we made dinner plans and enjoyed our meal a great deal. The restaurant's decor doesn't seem to have changed much since it opened; lots of Basque art, 80's decor, and family pictures on the walls give it a retro feel. It features a bar with live music and a dining room for meals. We began in the dining room, each ordering the Basque set-up which includes: soup of the day (I ordered white bean, clam chowder was also available), bouchée à la reine (puff pastry crammed full with savory mushrooms in sauce), prosciutto, pickled tongue, half-rack of lamb with vegetables and French fries, bleu cheese and baguette, as well as dessert (flan or mousse). The soup was delicious, and the appetizers were fantastic, served in truly generous portions. The rack of lamb was covered with fried garlic, and cooked perfectly to the requested medium rare. The only room for improvement was dessert; nothing to write home about. Definitely great bang for the buck, though, and a filling meal. Service was super prompt and very friendly. We then adjourned to the bar for a nightcap. Unfortunately, the bar ran out of the ingredients for the famous Basque drink of Picon punch but seems to have lots of other liquors/beers available. The band was super loud, but there's an area for dancing if you're so inclined. Lots of locals seem to enjoy the place a great deal...let's hope the new owners pay attention to that. Ample free parking in the lot. Hurry, in case it's sold soon!

Amazing service especially on a Friday night. The hostess Isabella was phenomenal and seated me quick and was extremely attentive the entire time, also the waitress Liz was really kind and phenomenal, will come back again 10/10 amazing for a dinner rush time, well set up place and order is there , amazing !!! Salmon was amazing and the crab cakes and the restaurant had a nice little atmosphere to it, really calming. Oh and the chocolate cake was amazingggg

Left me a message and when I called back, I was told 4:30 is not a viable appointment time!? Ridiculous

Made a reservation, they called me back to revise the time. When I called back, a rude bartender answered "I don't care what they told you, we do not accept appointment at the time you said"!!! First of all, don't enable the website reservation feature if you don't have a sophisticated process to make sure the time selection is within your schedule. Secondly, own up to the mistake you made or at least try offer a solution instead of being rude to your potential customer!

We had only been here for lunch and wanted to try out their dinner menu. When we walked in, we could see and hear the bar area was busy. The manager greeted us, and we were promptly seated. He was very pleasant, and we enjoyed his humorous demeanor. Our waitress Jessica was even more pleasant and jokeful. We loved the atmosphere they both created. We each ordered our various dishes, and we were not disappointed. The food was hot and tasted great! We definitely will come back!

Unfortunately only one server even though the owner was there. And only a few tables with few guest. As I sat down, there was a long black hair on my plate under the napkin. I mentioned it to the waitress and she laughed and said is there someone under the table who did that. I really didn't think it was funny. Gross! And she just removed the hair. She had her hair in a ponytail loosely. Table cloth was dirty. Then we had to keep getting up to ask for certain things. Even though it was requested when ordered. It seemed like the waitress was in a hurry not patient at all when questioning about the menu, irritated. Mushrooms in garlic butter were delicious. Salad was good amount. Ahi tuna very dry and hard. Prime rib over cooked and hard to chew. Vegetables were good. Not too soft or too hard just right. Potatoes good flavor. Crème brûlée had a 1/2 teaspoon of mango with made it very tasty. 1st time for me. But my friend has been coming here since who knows when. He said unfortunately, Service has gone down hill.

This review is based on my visit on the morning of Valentine's Day…read more This place popped up on a search for coffee in the area. It was only a 2 minute walk from where we were so we decided to check it out. On the outside was a holiday themed drink menu and the Butter Me Up sounded like something we'd enjoy. It was a cookie butter latte which whipped cookie butter and a cookie crumble on top. It may sound very sweet but it was actually perfectly balanced and allowed the strength of the espresso to come through. The barista was very kind and patient with us. She also let us know that they were hosting a karaoke night later that day. We waited in the patio connected to the cafe for our drinks. It was a very lovely day so the sun and scenery was nice and peaceful. Definitely looking forward to another visit

Holy beans this place is expensive for coffee! I'm not a Glendora local so take it with a grain on…read moresalt but I needed a quick coffee pit stop for the drive back home after being on the mountain and this spot was open until 5pm. I ordered a large honey latte with oat milk. What I got was a $7 12oz latte + $1.50 for alt milk + $.24 surcharge + tax & tip = almost $11 for my coffee :/ I don't know if this is par for the course in this area but coming from San Diego a large latte is usually 16oz and alt milk is maybe $1 extra (and a lot of places don't upcharge). I also appreciate if surcharges are up front. The girl that took the order was great, my latte was a delight for what it was, but I will look for alternatives next time I'm in the area

I think it's like pineapple juice and two choices of rum. Tasted amazing. The two bartenders are nice, very conversational. I can see why they get regular bar attendees. This bar isn't bad. We even got dressed up because the vibe online felt fancy and elevated. Unfortunately, the experience was very different in person. The space is extremely small and overcrowded, to the point where you can barely move, let alone order a drink. We squeezed our way toward the back just to find a little breathing room, but it was constant "excuse me" in every direction. With how packed it was, the bartenders seemed to be moving at a slow pace with little sense of urgency, which made getting to the bar nearly impossible. After waiting about 10 minutes without being able to place an order, we ended up leaving. It was disappointing, especially after driving out excited to try the drinks we saw online. The photos make the space feel much bigger and more relaxed than it actually is, which created a very different expectation. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype and first impressions fell flat.

From the moment we sat down, they were welcoming, attentive, and had such a positive vibe. You can tell they really know their craft -- the drinks were perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and came out fast even when it was busy. They made great recommendations and checked in just the right amount without being overbearing. The energy behind the bar really set the tone for the whole night. If you're going to Ola, definitely sit at the bar -- you won't be disappointed!

Right away, the vibe was giving outdoor patio but with cozy indoor energy. Super clean inside and out, and the staff was really friendly. Our waitress this morning--her name was "B"--was the sweetest. Super kind, always checking in on us and making sure we were good. If you're like me and super indecisive, I usually stalk the menu the night before. But this menu was HUGE--pages and pages. I flipped straight to the brunch section in the back (three full pages!) and landed on the Supreme Skillet: potatoes, over-easy eggs, bell peppers, ham, and sausage. It came with three tortillas of your choice--I picked corn. Taste-wise, it was good, but I wish there were bigger and more pieces of meat. Compared to other skillets I've had, this one was a little light on the protein. It was $17.99. I'd rate it a 6.5/10, but with the refried beans on the side, it bumped up to a 6.9/10. My bestie ordered the Combo Benedict with French toast sticks, and honestly...the French toast sticks were the star. Super crispy, fluffy inside, and perfect with syrup. We also got the mimosa flight--mango, strawberry, and peach. All were tasty, super cute, and very Instagram-worthy. I can totally see this place popping at night with music and drinks. That said, even in the morning with only one other couple next to us, the music was pretty loud--it was kinda hard to talk during our brunch, literally had to look at besties lips to know what she's saying. I can't even imagine nighttime volume, lol. Overall: Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 3.5/5 Definitely a fun spot to try, especially if it's your first time! But def plenty better brunch food out there! Happy eats!
