2 days ago I had set an appointment for the electrician to come out and give me an estimat the following day at 4:30 p.m. He never showed up and when I called him he said he thought it was at 4:30 p.m. next Wednesday and then he changed his story to he didn't have the address although I had already texted it to him and he confirmed he received it. Talk about being a liar and being confused. We then set up an appointment for the following morning at 9 a.m. . He never showed up and didn't bother calling. I am upset I left work early yesterday and I'm upset I planned on going into work late today thinking this guy would show up. He has zero respect for people's time. Gladiator Electric did a phenomenal job replacing all our lighting and worked with our hvac installers to provide electricity on a complete air conditioning unit overhaul. Mike at Gladiator knows his stuff. Fair pricing!! You never want to go with the cheapest guy. He did a service upgrade from 100 amp to 200 amp. Also installed a charger for my plug in hybrid. Soon after he left my dehumidifier went out and he got back in 15 minutes and determined it was a faulty extension cord. Problem solved. Next day noticed that our dryer vent duct had been inadvertently damaged by his crew, sent him a text and there he was with a new vent duct which he installed. For me that says it all. We hired Gladiator Electric based upon wonderful web reviews. These reviews were spot on. Set up an appointment with Mike from Gladiator. Received confirmation texts prior to and the morning of to keep us informed. They showed up promptly (early actually). We had a list of items discussed prior to the call and some add-ons during the day of. The hourly rate + materials was very reasonable. The Techs, Eric and Dylan, were extremely courteous and professional. And nice peeps to boot! The job tasks included Ceiling fixtures (remove/replace fans/lights), moving wall outlets, installing/pairing smart switches and outdoor GFCI outlets. All done by 3 pm! This my 2nd review. And if I could give more stars I would. Picture this.... As a home owner a serious issue arises on Friday night..... Well I looked here on Yelp and found 2 electricians. It was 10pm Friday night. One I used the form and explained our situation the other I left a phone message. Well Mike obviously checks his email around 7:30am because he called me at 7:32am Sat. morning. A call I was waiting for. I had stayed up all night because our issue was a very bad burning smell coming from an outlet and my mind had gone there..... it was not the outlet itself because I taken it out.....Well Mike said he'd be right over after his first scheduled call. By noon he'd diagnosed, gone to the store and bought a new led fixture, replaced the burning old fixture (ballast). And I was finally able to sleep. I can't Thank him enough. I called Mike based only on yelp reviews as I was desperate for an issue which caused us to have no heat today (It was 1 degree outside at the time). He was able to come out a couple hours later (same day!!!) and by then the issue had resolved. He still took the time to look things over and because everything was okay, did not charge even for the service call. Not that I am ever looking to need an electrician, but he stays on my list in case we ever do because my husband who was home at the time said he was courteous and knowledgeable, and obviously honest. Our son and his young family recently purchased an older home in NJ. There were some electrical issues that came to light after purchasing, despite a homeowner inspection. I had Mike install a generator, high hats in my living room, and a bathroom fan. It would be impossible for him to be any more polite and professional.
