Rob and his team did an amazing job installing my EV charger and updating some of my lighting fixtures. They were incredibly professional, clearly knew their craft, and even went the extra mile by coming back out on a Sunday to resolve a minor issue. I really appreciate everything they did and would highly recommend them. read more

Rob was recommended to me, and I am so very grateful he was! He and his team were super responsive and scheduled a service for me right away - this was crucial since I was having other work done in the bathroom (whole new paint job). They removed an overhead light from the ceiling and put a new one on the wall above the sink - it looks so nice! They also recommended to install a vent so that the new paint job I was getting wouldn't peel from the shower steam (the house is very old so didn't have any ventilation in the bathroom). I was so grateful for their recommending this; I had no idea that was an issue for the paint! That job required much more work, but they fit it into my schedule - again, super accommodating. All of the men were so nice and cleaned up everything before they left. Like was done for me, I would 100% recommend them! read more

Rob's work is of excellent quality. He is efficient in returning calls, great at explaining what needs to be done and answering all questions in terms a non-electrician can understand. He is creative in design if you tell him the outcome you want. His fees are reasonable. I highly recommend Bright Ideas Electric Corp. read more

Rob did a great job installing eclectic dedicated circuit for my newly installed above ground pool this summer. The panel is at the opposite end of the house and needed to go though overhead drop ceilings, down to a crawl space and to the outside. He was very thorough, clean and took his time to get it right. I highly recommend Bright Ideas as a great company to help you with your electrical needs, no matter how big or small. Great work!! read more

Robert just replaced a ceiling - light fixture for me in my family room. He is a wonderful electrician, and I would never use anyone else. He arrived on time, worked quickly and quietly. A true professional!!!! It is so refreshing to have someone work in your house that you can trust to do a great job!! This is the third job he has done in my house and if I need anyone in the future, he's the first to be called! read more

Rob was great!!! I highly recommend him for any electrical work. My mom has an older house and it need a new breaker panel and some emergency electrical work that my brother tried to rig....it was really BAD!!! I knew it was a fire hazard. He also installed a ceiling fan which we didn't mention during the consultation and he agreed to installed it anyway. Rob had done several jobs for my cousin and he was always very professional and fair with his pricing. That is why I recommended him to my mom. He stayed and worked hard all day to complete the job for my mom. He is professional and very knowledgable. He took the time to answer any questions my mom and I had about the electrical work. Rob is awesome!!! I will recommend him to anyone who needs electrical work done. read more

I volunteer at the Bogota VFW & found Bright Ideas on YELP. I needed emergency service since the bar area was affected & the weekend was coming up & I didn't want the beer getting skunked! I called when we couldn't get our electrician. Rob answered the phone & I was ready to beg, but he actually said he could be at the hall in an hour. He looked & identified the problem; had to go out for parts, make adjustments & we were back in business! He also provided an estimate for the actual jobs that needed to be done & left it with me to coordinate for the future! Superb service, he's very customer service oriented & I will use him whenever I can in the future! Hopefully, he'll always be available in an emergency! read more

Rob is a truly gifted electrician. We called him to hang a chandelier, and 6 hours later he had not only hung the chandelier, but installed dimmers & timers in multiple locations, tested and replaced circuit breakers, added several wall outlets and very thoroughly cleaned up after himself. Rob is talented and willing to make his customer happy. We have already had Rob out for additional work, and will definitely call him again in the future. read more

Bright Ideas Electric did a few jobs for me over the past years. Most recently I had gut renovated a bedroom, two bathrooms and a kitchen in my house in Tenafly. The quality of the work was superb. Rob was very knowledgeable about lighting and different strategies which enhanced the aesthetics and practicality of my space. He was also very honest about where I would incur unnecessary costs. Rob and his crew worked diligently with the other trades to keep the job on schedule. I also have a property management business and as I mentioned Bright Ideas Electric has done other work for me in apartment buildings and a townhouse renovation; I say without reservation that I have not seen cleaner, safer and more proper workmanship. I will work with them again and highly recommend Bright Ideas Electric. read more

Called them with a small electrical problem. We were due to go away so needed it looking at. They came the same day, on time, and quickly identified the problem and fixed it. They charge a standard hourly rate and said while they were there (and the repair only took 10-15 minutes) could they look at anything else for us. They then fixed a couple of dodgy outlets, installed a programmable switch for an outside light, and looked at a light for us. The guys explained everything they did, were polite, and I'll be using them for any electrical work I need in the future. I've had trouble (like many other people) finding good, reliable electricians, plumbers, etc. but now I know Bright Ideas are a call away. read more

So this was an interesting project and review. I needed him to install a new electric service line into my condo. Redo the entire kitchen and bathroom electrical too. It started off great with him giving me the cheaper quotes compared to everyone else. Than when he actually started to do the work was where the issues happened. First he has a poor time communicating his plans with the property manager. Where I ran into issues on him being in the attic. But the worst part was not the work itself which is why he gets 2 stars but his inability to tell me the price of things that need to be done. When he showed up he than re quotes me saying 'you need 3 kitchen sockets' When it wasnt in the original quote. Than when we're about to finish the job he says 'K I need to charge you extra to do the kitchen fan' The best was when we ALMOST DIDNT pass our electrical inspection. If we were on the first floor the recessed lights he put in wouldnt have passed because they were not graded at a higher level. He just had this dazed face on him about not knowing something like this. Even though I told him about all aspects of the project from the beginning. Next thing I know his price is now 1k higher than before. Really regret going with an outside contractor. Will stick with the general contractor sub people. read more

Truly awesome guy and work. Couldn't be happier and can't recommend him enough. Trust the reviews, they are right on the money.

Rob came recommended to us by a co-worker to fix a problem with flickering lights in our house. Generally, I'm not a fan of calling and talking to contractors, but Rob's polite and personable manner put me at ease about the situation and we quickly set up an appointment to have him come check out our problem. When he arrived, Rob got right to work investigating the situation, but also initiated and engaged in light conversation, including with our 3-year old daughter, who was fascinated by "Rob the fixing guy" in our home. He was also willing to answer all of my noob questions regarding home electrics as well as suss out some other minor issues that I was concerned about around the house. When it was all said and done, Rob had solved our problem and we were happy to know who we would be calling if/when we have another electrical issue or project in the future. read more

This is probably the fifth job Rob and the crew have done for us. I'm always really impressed with their knowledge and cleanliness. Today's job included a bathroom rough and some additional minor work. They put on booties and covered the floors with a drop cloth. The work area was spotless when they left. The wiring is so neat and Rob used some creative techniques to reroute some old wiring in order to pass inspection. A++++++ read more
