They came the same day and installed the dishwasher outlet we needed. Overall they did a good job. My only issue is they made a mistake and cut a electric square then left it to put in a different location. I didn't realize it until today. The issue is they made the mistake and left it. It's a great place for mice to nest... I had to do a sad diy patch up job (I'm a social worker I know nothing about patching up a wall!) they should have own up to it and fixed it. There was no time to call them back since the dishwasher was being installed today. The story of how long it would take changed.... It ended up being a 20 min job instead of 3 hours originally quoted. The price was steep about 300 more than what I researched online. It was our decision to proceed with the quoted price. My dishwasher is installed so I'm not sorry. It just left a nasty taste in my mouth; knowing if you don't watch people like a hawk they'll leave stuff like square holes in your walls! They never admitted it and just left it. I would raise hell if it wasn't for the fact we plan to renovate the whole kitchen in a few years... and my sad diy is good enough since nobody will ever see it since it's on the side of the dishwasher. read more

I usually don't take time to write reviews, but I had such an amazing experience again with DLP Electric, I had to do what was deserving. I needed to upgrade my basement lighting. Not only did Don come up and design what I needed, he did a total install that was a big job. I have used this company multiple times, and they have come through with such professionalism. I know there are many choices out there, but as long as this company is in business, they will be my goto for any electrical needs. As for the cost, just what was quoted. An outlet overheated last night and shorted another outlet with it. After hearing a pop and a burning smell, I knew I would need an electrician. I really appreciated that Donald got back to my quote request last night within 20 minutes and scheduled a time to come the very next morning. Communication was great and he and his teammate arrived on time. The consultation was free and the work was very reasonably priced. I also really appreciate that they made themselves available to come out before another job this morning. And both of them were incredibly friendly and safe, wearing masks while doing the repair. Both shorted outlets were diagnosed and repaired in roughly 30 minutes. Amazing! I'll definitely be calling him again for more electrical work in the future. I strongly do not recommend using DLP electric. Don came to us highly recommended, so we were hoping to have a great experience, but unfortunately, we had MANY issues with his service. 1. Don took over a month to start our electric work after we had already paid a deposit- his helper was injured, so we understood. 2. On day one he cut our internet wire- lied and said it was just our cable or phone line so we weren't worried as we only have internet. That night we found out it actually was our internet. He then told us to call Verizon and lie that a tree fell on the wire and took it out. I understand mistakes happen, but the dishonesty is a big issue. 3. He broke a $200 item in our basement and never said anything. My husband and I heard glass break, but assumed it was just a light bulb or something as any business owner with integrity would admit to breaking something in someone's house. We confronted him about this later when we found it broken and he denied it. The majority of the glass was removed and cleaned up so he obviously knew it was broken. Once again, I would not have even cared if he just owned up to his mistake. 4. We never had any issues with our breaker previous to Don's work. Now, our microwave trips the breaker at least weekly if not more. 5. Don installed a new line for our EV charger (replacing one we already had). We now cannot fully charge our car without the breaker tripping multiple times. We have even set our charge mode to a lower setting, but it still trips the breaker. We now will be paying another electrician to fix Don's bad electrical work. I never write bad reviews, but this experience was absolutely awful. 6. Left mutlple holes in the ceiling that he prmised to pach but never did so from installing an electrical car charger. I do not believe I have ever been complelled to write areview like this until our horrific experience with Don and DLP electric. read more

I asked a handyman to install my ceiling fans, but once he opened up the fixtures he realized it was beyond his capacity and that an electrician was needed. A friend recommended Don. I called him and he came quickly for a free estimate, then got me into his busy schedule a couple days later. He arrived when he said he'd arrive and charged what he said he'd charge. Upgraded dishwasher power line from 15 to 20 amps This is the second job i've had Don and Pat do and they were awesome. Super professional and did a great job. Needed an upgraded service line for a new dishwasher and they were promptly on time and did a great job. They even helped disconnect the dishwasher (which they did not have to do) to make sure the job was done properly. I'm having them come back to upgrade the whole house and move a meter. The A/C at my two family home wasn't working and after finding out it was an electrical issue, I did some research and decided to reach out to DLP. The moment I called I was able to recognize the professionalism. Don and Pat showed up early the next morning and within a few minutes had corrected the issue with the first unit/panel. Don came this past Sunday to fix a burnt outlet in our home. After having the fire department here the night before, and feeling like we narrowly avoided a house fire, we were anxious to have this fixed quickly. Don was the only electrician who returned our call (we know most companies are closed on Sundays but at least call back) and he called back quickly. He also said he was coming over and was here in just a few minutes! Don fixed the outlet super quick and looked through the other rooms and checked our circuit box in the basement.
