I've hired plenty of electricians in my day - let alone general contractors and folks to do all kinds of work on all sorts of properties. I can do a lot of work construction myself - so when it comes times to hire somebody I'm basically impossible to please because I always feel like I'm paying someone else too much to do a worse job than I could do if only I had the tools and time. Moreover, normally with the trades people it is really difficult to communicate, get a clear picture of the work, understand what sort of materials they will use and at what price point, and what the breakdown of their labor will be. Not so, with Alpha Electrical services. Konstantinos was wonderfully communicative, and friendly to boot. This guy even called me back while he was on vacation halfway around the world to make sure we had our work scheduled at the right time and day. On top of that, he sent me links to the materials he was going to install (several outdoor GFI outlets - some attached to my house, and some out in my yard and on my patio). He explained all of the electrical code protocols, exactly how he would run the lines, where he would put the boxes, and offered friendly advice about the best equipment and installation procedures. When the day came to do the work, Konstantinos arrived on time and although he worked solo - he installed two yard outlets, three outdoor gfi boxes, and had to run new lines from a new breaker that had to punch out of my concrete basement walls. Amazingly, he hid the wires wonderfully behind my sheetrock basement ceiling with almost no perceptible cut and the punches to the outside were clean, minimal, and sealed up beautifully. This guy communicated wonderfully, worked efficiently, treated my property as if it were his own, and did a job better than I was expecting while all along the way suggesting little tweaks and improvements without being a pushy salesperson. (He also treated my little dog who is very fearful with a lot of respect so naturally that earned him mega bonus points). In short, I basically never pay contractors to do a job and feel good about it at the end but this guy really delivered with a price that beat the competition! BTW Whoever this Dan R. guy is clearly is out out of his mind - my experience working with Alpha Electrical couldn't have been more stress free, seamless, professional, and beyond satisfactory both in regards to price point and end-product. I just wish I could find other contractors this reliable. read more

Konstantinos is an efficient, professional, and expert electrician. I hired him to do some small repairs and he zipped through them with ease. He was communicative both before and on the job. He found some questionable electrical wiring while working on the items I requested and helped make it right. He is fair and reasonable with his pricing and is one of the most straightforward and honest contractor's I've had the pleasure of hiring. read more

Would highly recommend working with Alpha for any jobs. They responded quickly for an after hours electrical issue, and were very thorough in making sure that not only the job was done correctly but took the time to explain what needed to be done. Came back to finalize the repairs and make sure the house was safe for our family. Can't recommend highly enough. read more

Alpha Electrical Services - Electricians Near Me - Weehawken, New Jersey

I hired Constantinos to fix a broken intercom and reverse the polarity of a GFCI in the kitchen of my Hoboken apt., two things I could have done myself if I weren't in CA. He claimed the intercom was unfixable because of its age, and that it would be difficult to find a replacement panel. He did rewire the GFCI. He charged me $453.16. I later found an exact replacement of the intercom panel on Amazon for $25 and asked him to install it. Since that call he has ghosted me. He knew I was in CA and figured he could get away with ignoring me. Disreputable to say the least-my building manager said he charged me double the going rate. And he didn't even fix the problem. read more

We are really happy with the work Konstantinos did, he arrived on time, found the cause of the problem fast and fixed it right on the spot. You feel that he has extensive experience.. hope we don't need him again LoL but if we have a problem with the electric in our home , he will be the first person to call.. thank you Alpha Electrical Services.. read more

We had an urgent and complicated problem in our kitchen. We tried two other electrical companies before calling Konstantinos and none of them were able to identify or fix the problem. One of them even claimed that with his 40 years of experience, this is something not fixable. Konstantinos came on the same day he received our call. He spent a lot of time troubleshooting the problem and explain to us what he's doing and what kind of problem he is trying to find/rule out. I'm happy to report that the issue is finally fixed. I highly recommend Konstantinos. I would definitely call him again if I need an electrician again in the future. read more

All the outlets and switches in my apartment had to be replaced after a new paint job. I contacted Konstantinos and other electricians to help me get it done. Konstantinos called me within an hour or so, which I liked, asking a few important details about what I needed, gave me a quote and we scheduled a day and time. He was on time, was very professional, reliable and very friendly. You don't realize how many outlets and switches an apartment has until you have to replace them. Konstantinos worked fast and very efficiently. Within 2 1/2 hours he was done, and all finally looked alright again. I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone who needs a skilled, experienced and reliable electrician. It was a pleasure. read more

Unlike other electricians who treat you like a number and are quick to move onto their next job, Konstantinos (the owner of the business) feels like a partner, making sure you are happy throughout the job. Very experienced and personable. He also does the work himself, which was immensely valuable to us - being onsite and answering our ignorant questions throughout the job. Pricing was transparent and very fair as well. read more

Wow what a great experience . I contacted Alpha for an instillation if new light fixtures into my kitchen ceiling. The service was very professional and worth the price. You could tell he had a lot of experience and wanted to make the process as easy as possible for me. I am very happy with the job done and will use Alpha again for other projects in the future. I definitely recommend this company. read more

Konstantinos was the consummate pro. He was very clear and fair about his pricing upfront, which was competitive with other estimates I got. He was on time, clean, friendly, professional, diagnosed and solved my electrical issues. I also had him reinstall some stuff that the handy man didn't install properly. He clearly cares not only about the quality of his work but my satisfaction. I wish the plumbers, roofers, and heating guys I have hired in the last 4 months were as fair, upfront, knowledgeable and easy to work with as konstantinos! read more

I contacted many companies to do my job, and they all received the same information. Konstantinos was the only one to point out all issues that I may have with the job. Every other company just gave me a price, and if I had gone with them, I would have ended up having to do multiple jobs. I was able to get everything done with Konstantinos in just one job... and for less than what the other companies quoted me! Very happy with the quick turnaround and professionalism. Definitely recommend. read more

I had a small job for them but they were very easy to work with and very professional. Price was average to competition.

Awful experience. I wanted to test the guy's service for a big electrical job I needed in two of my rental unitss, so I hired him for a tiny job. The man was supposed to show up on a Monday morning (we confirmed on both ends). My tenant waited for him all morning, and we got a "no call no show". Never even received a call the following day. I called him two days later and received a typical excuse for it, but I gave the man the benefit of the doubt. I remained courteous and allowed him to go to my tenant's apartment that same day to do the work. I was asking him to install the electrical plug to the back on a used electric stove I had purchased, relatively straightforward. While I was at work, I receive a text message from my tenant saying he did the work and was charging $350 (consisted of labor and a $30 wire according to Home Depot receipt) for less a quick job of less than 40 minutes. I don't know ANY electrician who pays himself $320 dollars for 40 minutes ($480/hr) of work. I call the guy and he says it's completely non-negotiable. This man's is TERRIBLE to say the least. Never again, stay the heck away. read more

These guys are great. Very easy to deal with. Responded to my messages quickly. On the day of the appointment, he even showed up a couple minutes early. They installed two ceiling fixtures for me and added some outlets to my storage area. The results look professional and he was careful not to make a mess. He even put a tarp on the floor before setting down the tools, which really is above and beyond. Price was competitive. I couldn't be happier and will definitely use Alpha again. read more
