Prompt, professional, and flexible. This was the third job KB Electric performed at our home. Hector installed porch lights at the front and rear doors, installed a front door bell, rewired a light socket in the kitchen, and rewired another socket in the basement. The work was done to a high quality, completed on time, and at the price that was estimated. It's also a small business and I believe family owned, so you're dealing with the owners. I can highly recommend their service for residential jobs. read more

Super service from Danny and Otas, who just finished installing two ceiling fans in my apt. They arrived on time, drop-clothed furniture and got to work on this very warm Aug morning. After installing, they removed the old fans and empty boxes from the new ones. Kudos to Alicia, in the office, and Kenny, the estimator. Very professional team. read more

I've been using KB for many years. Today in particular the best service came from Max. Professional, efficient, great service.

Many thanks to the KB Electric team from the responsive and well organized Office Manager Alicia and Kenny the estimator, to the A+ electrician experts Hector and Mike. They installed ceiling box fans/light fixtures from scratch (cutting into the ceiling, climbing into the attic space, snaking wires, etc.) in my two bedrooms. Prompt and efficient, they explained everything clearly, completed a seamless installation, and left both rooms nice and clean. High Quality Work! KB is #1! Katherine H. read more

Another fantastic job by KB. Needed our smoke detectors upgraded throughout the house. A lot of smoke detectors, at least 2 different systems. I appreciate very much that kb came in to do an estimate and thoroughly scoped out the job before delivering an accurate estimate. I also appreciate that they were completely prepared with new smoke detectors and the right crew when they came back to do the job: no running out to the supplier or ordering a part on job day. I feel nice and secure looking at those happy green lights. read more

Great experience with KB Electric. I have used others in the past and were charged extremely high prices for smaller jobs. Keith came out right away and gave me a quote. His office called me immediately to set up an appointment. Hector & Marlon arrived and put down plastic tarps and moved all furniture to protect it. They ran new wires and installed a ceiling fan, changed my very old outside lamppost, updated the outlets inside & out of my garage. They were very knowledgeable and walked me through the process of what they were doing. I am thrilled with the work done and the price. Thank you KB Electric, I will be giving you as a reference to my family and friends! read more

Had a great experience with Hector this morning when half our kitchen outlets were blown. He was very knowledgeable, great attitude and helpful and got everything done quickly. We even noticed after he left that an outlet on our island that had never really worked magically worked! I would recommend KB and ask for Hector by name! read more

Very responsive and quality work at a fair price. Would use them again. Thank you

Karen and Hector, and all others I've dealt with over the years, are great to work with. I've been a customer of KB Electric since 2013.

I called KB Electric early this morning and the office they told me that their technician Hector would be able to be at our apartment between 9:30 and 11:00. Hector called and was at our door at 9:30! He was able to replace our inoperable light fixtures with new ones! Hector was prompt, courteous, and a good representative of the quality and value of having KB as my electrician. My husband and I have used them for many years, and highly recommend them. read more

I HIGHLY recommend this company!! Everything from start to finish was perfect. We called another electrician, left a message but never got a call back (which, from what I understand is normal). We found KB Electric online and decided to give them a try. The phone was answered immediately by Alicia who was so helpful, listened to what we needed done and set up an appointment for us immediately, which we were so grateful for. The electric wire going into the house was hanging very low and we realized the attachment on the house (for lack of a better explanation) was hanging off the house. Alicia asked us to send photos and I did with a comment" didn't realize how bad it was". Her response was "I've seen worse" so right off the bat she made me feel better. She asked if we wanted her to send someone to give us a quote, but we didn't want to waste time on that so said no. She quoted us how much it would be per hour (+ materials) and we were very happy with the final price (we felt very reasonable). The 2 electricians were here at 8:30 on a day when it was below 20 degrees!! They did a great job and were in/out in a little over an hour. So happy to know that if we need electrical work done in the future, we have a place to call!! read more

We needed to add ceiling lights and switches in our bedroom and update wiring to new recently installed ceiling fans in other rooms. Hector the electrician was great. He consulted with us regarding switch placement and light location. Very pleased. read more

My house almost burnt down and I needed an electric, emergency 9-1-1! Called KB Electric and they responded promptly. Rectified one problem but another problem arise and they needed to come back. Called for an appointment and they wanted to come Monday. I advised them ones going away for the weekend and the seriousness of the issue. They made room in the schedule and came the next day. Found numerous issues and fixed the issues. Came back the next day and checked every outlet and switch to make sure the problem was fixed. Great response and fixing the issue. Saved me and my house. Highly recommend. read more

KB electric could not figure out why my electricity kept going off in certain parts of my house. They were here almost 3 hours and could not figure out the problem. The level of incompetence is astonishing . They charged me almost $400. Now I'm living in total darkness in my bedroom with no TV, clocks, or lights. read more

From start to finish. Great work. This was my 3rd time using KB. This time was to add a ceiling fan to my bedroom. They were professional and did a great job. Arrived on-time and completed work with no cleanup on my prat. That's Raul and Otas Tai.. see u on the next project!! read more

I can't say enough positive things about KB Electric. Doing my due diligence, I made three phone calls to electricians for estimates. KB Electric was the only one that returned my call. I've had the great pleasure of working with Alicia to schedule work to be done which included securing permits. The permit process was more difficult than it needed to be and Alicia was there every step of the way. She worked diligently to secure the information the town inspector requested from PSE&G and communicated with the town to ensure the information was received and the permit issued, all the while keeping me updated throughout. The electricians were great as well, they were skilled and their work was neat and clean. Thanks Alicia for all the support! Call KB Electric, you won't be disappointed! read more

We had an awesome experience with KB when they recently helped us make some updates to our new home. Hector, John, Thay, and Frank were all great. I've always called KB through the years for any electrical needs I have. This time I had a bunch of needs! Egan, Orlando, and Sherwin helped replace all of our old "knob and tube" electrical wires... This was old electric wiring from the late 1800s. It was not exactly a project that I was looking forward to. The team, lead by Egan, were so very professional. They were on time every morning. They worked much quicker than I expected. They were efficient, and the whole project cost considerably less than I had anticipated. Everything was done just right. Egan was a great communicator. He checked w me about the details re the new lights that they hung. (New light fixtures were the fun part of this big project!) They cleaned up after themselves every single day after they finished working. I would definitely hire this crew again. read more

I reached out to KB Electric on the reference of a friend. I spoke with Alicia, who was fantastic, and she had Romero come by to discuss the work to be done, and they provided a reasonable quote a couple of days later. We scheduled the work, and Egan and Orlando came by a few days later. They did an excellent and thorough job running electrical lines for us and installing the new outlets, then cleaned up the work area afterward. It's rare nowadays to find and work with all good people in any company. I mentioned their names because it's a pleasure working with them all, and we'll be doing more work with them as we broke it out into phases. Great job all. Thank you! read more

I moved into a 100-year-old house in South Orange last year, and I think I owe Hector half of it, considering all of the work he's done over the past year. We had a bunch of small electrical projects in out house - replacing recessed lighting, adding new LED floods, replacing/adding ceiling fans, and replacing fluorescent with LED lights in the basement drop ceiling. Our project was scheduled quickly and the price was right. Hector and Jahmal, did an outstanding job. They were very nice, polite, timely, asked the right questions, and the work was very professional overall. I would use KB Electric again for our next job. read more

Hector and Jamal were great! They were skilled, efficient, thoughtful and pleasant (and neat)! They recommended and installed a new outlet and breaker for an air conditioner and also fixed two small but longstanding (and annoying) electrical outlet problems in a bathroom. With their skill level, these may be relatively small jobs to them but they showed they understood they were big jobs for me and they addressed the issues with skill and concern. I recommend them wholeheartedly 100 percent! It's hard to find these attributes in one, well two packages! I'll use KB again. read more

Used KB for first time. They set appointment fitting my schedule followed up 2 days before visit. Day of work Hector and Jhamal came right at appointment time. They were great. Explaining what they were going to do then during even bringing me back to show how wiring was done incorrectly probably 30 years ago and fixed everything in under 2 hours. Then cleaned up the space after finishing. I would highly recommend KB. FRED read more

We wrapped up a big project in our home that included upgrading our service to 200amp, installing a car charger, and several other electrical items in the house. KB Electric was fantastic to work with! I'd like to thank Egan and Orlando, our electricians, who were excellent to work with. I was impressed with their craftmanship and appreciated how they guided us through the work being performed. Egan kept us informed each day what would be completed and made time for us to ask questions. Our project spanned several days and Egan asked us at the start of the project what our schedules were like so he could plan different areas of the project to cause the least amount of disruptions to the family and our work. We really appreciated that since we some times work from home. I was impressed with Egan, Orlando and the KB team. They demonstrated a lot of attention to detail and all of their work was superb. Each day was carried out as Egan had described in the morning, the entire process was very smooth for our family and everything was completed on time. I'd like to thank Ramiro at KB who helped us plan and scope the project initially, he was also excellent to work with. Alicia was very responsive to our questions about scheduling, permits, etc. We've worked with KB many times before but not on a project of this size. We're very satisfied and thankful to have worked them. read more
