Last week (mid-June) there was a power failure but my generator did NOT turn on. I reset it, it turned on, but failed twice more. When I contacted Northeast, I was told that the service call would cost a minimum of $385. Since my next scheduled visit was for July, I suggested we just wait until then. The answer to that was in addition to my $626 annual contract, there would be an additional charge of $150 (plus parts). Bottom line, i am not renewing my contract, as there are many better options, with more responsible companies.

Our generator was in working order and in need of a simply annual maintenance service. After a two hour visit and being charged $470.16 to "troubleshoot the problem" my generator is now not working. The technician who serviced our Generac generator said at the conclusion of the service visit he was unable to determine what was wrong and another visit, costing even more money would be needed to determine the problem, or we could just buy a brand new generator. The generator worked fine before it was serviced by this company!! When I called to discuss my concerns about what had happened, I was told someone could come out, for even more money to prove the technician did nothing wrong! I was willing to just accept a simple refund and deal with the now broken generator on my own but they were unwillling to admit any wrongdoing and refused a refund. My next review of this company will be with the Better Business Bureau, which by the way, they are not members of. Wonder why??? My advice is to take your generator service business elsewhere!

The communication from day one to the day they arrived was outstanding. The technician arrived 15 minutes earlier than the window they provided me. The technician looked over everything that we needed done and then provided an estimate....which we agreed to. There was no pressure and the price was reasonable. Our technician resolved all of our issues and was polite, professional, and thorough. I had seen their trucks in the area, but It took us 18 years to use this company and we will not be using another one.
