I contacted them regarding a furnace issue that, while intermittent, was serious enough to require attention--especially during the winter months. We have a young child at home, and I made that very clear, along with my concerns about maintaining consistent heat in the house. Their technicians came out multiple times and were unable to diagnose or fix the problem. After several unsuccessful visits, the owner got involved. Initially, he was professional and appeared committed to resolving the issue. However, once it became clear that they couldn't fix the problem, everything changed. Communication completely stopped. No follow-ups. No updates. No accountability. During this time, we repeatedly expressed serious concerns--not just about comfort, but about safety. We were dealing with unreliable heat in the middle of winter, had a young child at home, and even communicated concerns about our pipes potentially freezing while we were away on vacation. Despite this, we were essentially given the runaround and the issue remained unresolved. It's also important to note that the manufacturer was only brought in after we specifically requested it, following multiple unsuccessful service visits by their technicians and the owner. Ultimately, the problem was not fixed by Ryan & Company, but only after the manufacturer became directly involved. That distinction matters. Despite having an active maintenance contract, they stopped sending technicians altogether. The owner refused to speak with me directly to address the situation. Instead of standing behind their service or working toward a resolution, the contract was canceled and a check was mailed for the remaining balance--without any meaningful discussion. To be clear, that cancellation came after repeated failed repair attempts, lack of resolution, and a complete breakdown in communication--not as some isolated or voluntary request. I also strongly disagree with their claim that I was "verbally abusive." Like any homeowner dealing with an ongoing heating issue in the winter--with a child in the home and legitimate concerns about frozen pipes--I was understandably frustrated. Expressing that frustration does not equate to abuse. What's most concerning is the lack of accountability and the way this situation was handled once it became difficult. After years of being a paying customer, this is how they chose to respond. If a company can't fix a problem, that's one thing. But abandoning a long-time customer, cutting off communication, and deflecting blame is unacceptable. In the end, when things got difficult, they didn't fix the problem--they walked away from it.

We had a clogged drain pipe so water was leaking into the pan below the HVAC unit. Eduard came and diagnosed the issue, fixed it quickly and it's been 1 week since and no issues. We had another service person that was trying to charge us $4000 for a circuit board we never needed. Edward came and immediately diagnosed the problem. He knew what he was doing and ordered the correct part. My aunt had her A/C fixed and we were so happy it was fixed properly. Her A/C unit is a huge top line unit from 17 years ago a Carrier Bryant and Edward was very confident and knew how to work on it. He was nice enough to give us pricing for a new unit or to fix the unit. No pressuring us into a new unit, her unit would cost over $20,000, with Edward Everything is itemized no guessing or giving me BS quotes. My A/C unit in my home is only around $ 10,000-$12,000 but it is nothing like her unit. I use to work for a service company 30 years ago and I would not even try to trouble shoot this unit it's so high tech. When someone like Edward comes around he is a gift from God because their are so many rip off artist's out there. Fair Pricing and Competent that is what you want! Thank you Edward! I also knew it would be expensive because it has been discontinued due to government regulations. Ron Jon charged me $400/lb!!! That sounded extravagantly high, so I decided to check. Most HVAC contractors (I called 3) would not give a price for the freon over the phone. They ALL wanted to send a technician out, for a fee, and the technician would then tell me the cost. What a racket! At last, I found a nice lady at Air Group in Hanover to tell me the 1st LB would be $400, and then each pound after that would be $200/lb. So, for 4 lbs of freon R-22, Ron Jon ripped me off the $600!

We started with the noisy clanking furnace after the first winter of uneven heat. We got three bids and decided to use Ron Jon for both their scheduling and pricing. Two summers later it was time to replace the A/C. Again, after three bids we used Ron Jon. On both occasions they were easy to schedule, prompt and efficient. The heating system has four zones which all work as designed and save energy as we have the coordinated thermostats shutting down parts of the house during times we do not use the rooms. Both installations were done in one day each and the three-man crews were careful, clean and respectful. They do want you to use their annual service contract for inspection and maintenance for the warranty period so ask other bidders their policy if that concerns you. I figure the contract is cheap insurance.
