Good experience with Edward. Knowledgeable and arrived during the expected window. He seems busy but that's ok because thankfully the weather was still fairly cool. We had a clogged drain pipe so water was leaking into the pan below the HVAC unit. Eduard came and diagnosed the issue, fixed it quickly and it's been 1 week since and no issues. Wonderful HVAC Company! If I could give more stars I would! Answered my call within 30 minutes. Edward was extremely knowledgeable in HVAC. We had another service person that was trying to charge us $4000 for a circuit board we never needed. Edward came and immediately diagnosed the problem. He knew what he was doing and ordered the correct part. My aunt had her A/C fixed and we were so happy it was fixed properly. Her A/C unit is a huge top line unit from 17 years ago a Carrier Bryant and Edward was very confident and knew how to work on it. He was nice enough to give us pricing for a new unit or to fix the unit. No pressuring us into a new unit, her unit would cost over $20,000, with Edward Everything is itemized no guessing or giving me BS quotes. My A/C unit in my home is only around $ 10,000-$12,000 but it is nothing like her unit. I use to work for a service company 30 years ago and I would not even try to trouble shoot this unit it's so high tech. I placed a service call for my baseboard heater thermostat not calling for heat to my burner, they came onsite as scheduled, have it tested and recommended me to replace the thermostat; that resolved the issue. Since then, I never had any issues with the thermostat, it's been perfectly without any issues. I will call them for any further work related to my thermostat. I used this contractor's services twice. This review represents my honest opinion of my experience. If you read my other reviews, you'll see that I try to be as honest and thorough as possible. SOLID TECHNICAL SKILLS He seems to be technically proficient. I'm a professional property manager, so I occasionally read books and visit websites on mechanical systems. Eduard definitely seemed well-read, which is a lot more than most contractors. I can tell you that most contractors don't value education even though it's important. However, the one factor that gave me pause with Eduard is his years of experience. He's been in the industry for only about 9 years. And, he actually started his company only a few years ago. That's not a lot of time. This actually matters a lot because experience will help you spot and solve hard-to-notice problems. HIGH PRICE During the 2nd visit, Eduard replaced the hot surface igniter. This is a $30 part that he replaced in about 5 minutes. Altogether, he was in and out the door in under 30 minutes. The charge for the entire visit was $500. That's a lot of money given the time. Had I known either the cost of the part or the repair time, I would have gotten another bid. I actually called around afterward and found out that the repair should have been half the cost. OVERALL RECOMMENDATION Although I can't complain about the actual work, I would recommend homeowners to look for a contractor that charges reasonable prices. Most homeowners wouldn't bother to check but I happen to. It may be hard to find but you can find contractors that are both competent and fair with their prices. I very highly recommend this company. Eduard is professional, very knowledgeable and provides thorough and impeccable service. I'd recently had my home furnace serviced due to a broken blower fan. A week later the furnace died again and the original service provider was unavailable this time, so I reached out to Zigzag Industrial. Scheduling an appointment was quick and easy and Eduard showed up the next day. The new problem turned out to be completely different from what the original service provider had diagnosed, but Eduard was able to identify and resolve the issue on the spot. Eduard is very personable and patiently answered all of my questions. The price quoted for the service was more than fair and the repair was top-notch. Best HVAC professional service we have had over 12 years. Wish I had found ZigZag/Eduard years ago. We have a steam heat boiler system that has had some issues that each previous HVAC person "fixed" but the issue would come back. Eduard inspected, and fixed and made recommendations. He also returned the same day when our inspection said there was an issue. There wasn't, and Eduard seemed personally invested to prove his work and supported us through contesting the inspection. ZigZag came out same day to fix our AC. They were knowledgeable, polite, prompt. The technician wore a mask at all times. We suspected our compressor needed to be replaced and this was the case. The technician followed up with us to make sure we had no issues after the repair and to make sure our unit was working properly. I have to add that after our power came on after hurricane Isaias - we were having trouble with our thermostat and I thought something was wrong with the AC unit - ZigZag came out at 9pm free of charge and helped me with it. 4th of July/New Homeowner On the evening of July 3rd, a passing thunderstorm tripped our circuit breaker for a second and we thought nothing of it. A couplehours later we realized our central air had stopped working! We googled a few solutions, including resetting the circuit breaker and resetting the thermostat but no luck. This was not the outcome we were hoping for as we had just bought the house and were having some people over for the holiday to see it for the first time. After one final try this morning(4th of July) i decided to go on Yelp and try to get a few quotes for later in the week, due to the holiday. I sent the request around 6:30am, and to my surprise Eduard reached out around 7am! He was at our house around 8am, fixed the problem (blown fuse), and even made some recommendations in terms of how we can make our unit more accessible in the future. A few of the other contractors got back to us a few hours later - either they were not open due to the holiday, or they were fully booked. Eduard gave me a window time of 5-7pm and showed up at 7pm. Informed me that there was a short in the wire from the furnace. He disconnected the wire so that the heat would be off and I'd have cool air for the summer. He told me that all I had to do was switch the wire in November from cool to heat to be able to heat up my home. He was suppose to call me on Monday because they're closed on the weekends and this was on Friday,to let me know about a new thermostat and also if he can break the wall to replace the wire . I still haven't been in contact with anyone from Zigzag and it's been a week. I'm not sure what rating to give Eduard. He wasn't bad but could've been more attentive. read more

Yeah, Eduard is as good as it gets. He installed my Ecobee thermostat, swept the floor and stayed long enough to verify proper installation. Unfortunately, an hour or so after he left, the system started rebooting after every boiler cycle. I texted the number provided and within a few minutes, Edward called to deliver his now famous line 'I'll be right there", and he was in less than an hour. Fixed the problem, which turned out to be the existing lines were inadequate. He pulled new wires, rewired the thermostat, and remained again for several boiler cycles before closing out the job. So it's 6:30pm on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, I'm on my way out of town for the holiday and receive an alarm from my house that the smoke detector is going off and there is a fire. I panic and have my neighbor come by to take a look, since I was about 70 miles away. Turns out the AC unit, which is in my attic, is leaking water onto the smoke detector and it short circuited as a result. I previously worked with Edward when he helped me setup my Ecobee wireless thermostats, so I called him right away with zero expectation that he would actually come by, being that it was close to 7 in the evening, at the start of Memorial Day Weekend. Edward picks up the phone... his response? "I'll be there in an hour". He arrived and placed slip on covers on his shoes, so as to not get my place dirty, and diagnosed the problem right away. Last night when we were in a heat advisory, our AC unit stopped working. We called someone first thing this morning, he came promptly and proceeded to tell us we will need to replace the whole unit. We then called Zig Zag to get another opinion. Eduard called us back immediately and said he can be there within the hour.
