We had our mini splits "serviced" last year and it was basically getting a nitrogen shot.. It started to leak after this. We never had issues with leaking prior to this. After a year, I am coming back to write a review because we found out from neighbors that that isnt the proper way to clean the mini split. The technician did not remove the covers or clean out the drain like they were supposed to. We paid about $100 - 130 for two of our Grees and these are the only ones that leak. We had a third one that they did not get to at the time and its the only one that doesnt have issues. read more

Man tried to rip me off by replacing the entire AC system for $5000. Asked for an alternative and he said the compressor failed and needs a replacement which is around $2000. Called A Degree and Above from Yelp and he said compressor is completely fine(NO ISSUES AT ALL) and just needed refrigement. Total came out to roughly $500 from A Degree and Above. I bought a house with 15+ years old HVAC units and I knew I needed to replace them so I started searching for good HVAC contractor. Since I have Costco and home depot credit cards, I called them to get estimate and their prices are absurd. My first review since Covid and very pleased. My HVAC wasn't working properly (temp would stay at a constant 77 deg f) so I called these guys to come take a look. They were pretty booked but were able to see me in a few days. Two technicians came over and were very professional (full mask and gloves). Turns out the issue was an operator error on my part. Even so they did a great job inspecting the whole system. We were able to negotiate a great price for roughly 40min of work, 100% was worth it getting everything back up to speed. This past April I hired M&S Mechanical to repair my furnace. The reviews here were very good! But...It took a long very long time, and a lot of money, for them to fix it. One issue after another. Brought the wrong parts, even went on vacation....I'm a patient person, and I gave Sadaah every opportunity to get this right. My tenant was understanding. And in retrospect I really regret hiring M&S. Because now I have problems again- as soon as the new heating season has begun. My tenant called, and he said he "doesn't service" my area now. My water heater tank died on a Sunday. I was nervous because I might not be able to find anyone working on Sunday's. I called around and found Saadeh. He told me he can get a new water tank over to my house in an hour. I texted him my old model and the set up and he immediately went to Home Depot and searched for it. Didn't have it at the first home depot so he went to another Home Depot and luckily they had one available. He got it to my house in 30min after that and started on the job. He and his crew member worked quickly and efficiently. He started to drain the old tank, dismantle it, and put in the new one right after. My pvc flue pipe was old and didn't connect properly so Saadeh went back to Home Depot and got a new pipe for me with the proper connection. I really appreciate it since I prefer to have the connection done properly and he had no problem making another trip to Home Depot. The whole job was completed in two and a half hours, would be faster but he had to run to the store. He's a cool guy, easy to talk to, very knowledgeable in plumbing and would definitely recommend Saadeh if you need a hot water tank replacement. Pricing is good, given that he came on a Sunday on a short notice. Would definitely call him again if I need other repairs in my house. read more

installed a heating and cooling system for me, but it stopped working a year later. when i called and asked them to take a look (first for heating) when it stopped working in a snowstorm, i was given multiple excuses, put off several times, and had to use space heaters in below freezing weather. Ultimately, they didn't follow up for the entire season. Now, in the summer, the a/c is also not working. Again, given the runaround, first told no appointments available, then he didn't answer my call, now saying he cannot come fix the system he installed and i will have to find someone else. Saadeh has been my go-to plumber for several years now, and he has consistently provided prompt and efficient service. Recently, I found out that they also offer water heater services, so I asked Saadeh to clean my tankless water heater. During the process, he discovered some issues with the furnace sensors that were causing loud noises whenever the heat was turned on. I've had a few contractors refuse to provide rough estimates and availability until they walk the entire house, only to come back with a ridiculous price. Equipment was delivered quickly after approving the quote and was installed the very next day. The team performed the removal/installation of two zones (total 8 pieces of heavy equipment) in 95 degree weather! Furnace did not work . Came late and quoted $1100 to replace a $50 part (I looked for the part he he described online while he was talking) that would take an hour to replace. I called him on this and asked how can he justify 1050 an hour labor . Btw, a new furnace is less than 1100. ---------edit Got call from owner who admit quote was too high and offered to go back and fix for reasonable cost . I'll give him credit for calling back fast and admitting his tech messed up. Changing review from 1 star to 3 stars. --edit--going back to one star--- Called pseg , Cleared rust in gas line caused by outside pipe work . Furnace kicked in . I have heat again. So not only did you try to charge me 1100 to replace a 50 dollar part in which you told me would take an hour, I paid the 95 dollar diagnostic in which you said the part that was broken was really not broken . I gave you money to give me a wrong diagnostic !! I would have ended up paying 1100 for something that did not need to be replaced and still have no heat. Just be aware , when a GC quotes you a price for a part , look online for the actual cost. I confronted your tech why he would bill 1100 to install a 59 dollar board that takes an hour to replace. He gave a weird response that if I go to a restaurant , the meal will cost more than the sum of the ingredients . read more
