During a recent 90 degree pluss heat wave.....our 17 yr old central AC condenser broke down around 7pm. We phoned Piper Heating & Cooling (who actually answered the phone!) and they set up a service call the very next day. Al (the owner) came out and diagnosed that there was a leak in the unit and it would need to be replaced, they scheduled the replacement and had it installed within a few days. They're professional, fast, honest, respectful of other people's time and completely cleaned up after themselves, etc. Al and his team went above and beyond the call of duty. We felt like Al was a good friend by the time he was finished installing the 2 boilers at my 84 yr old mother's house after her basement was flooded and her boilers were under water. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They installed a AC incorrectly in my attic and it leaked over the 4th of July weekend. We came home to a flood that damaged 3 floors of our home. They then proceeded for 3-4 weeks trying to correct the issue, it's flooded a second time then they refused a mold testing. I finally did the mold test and my family had a emergency evacuation. We lived in a hotel for 7 Weeks while the mold was removed and my home was put back together. This is a short version because there were so many other issues, like that never applied for a permit with my town. We lost half our custom kitchen. Please don't go through what my family did. Beware of them.Their representative showed up at my place and even before looking at the issue he asked for the $75 deductible. After i paid the deductible, he asked me if i had a ladder so he can look into the attci to solve my vent issue.I told him that i dont have one so he went down and brought one and peeked inside the attic and told me right away that my flex ducts are a bad install and it wont be covered by my insurance and offered his services to make a new vent so he can rip me off. Easy to schedule the service call and tech arrived on time. Issue was identified, the part was ordered and installed, resolving the issue with the furnace. He's a terrible businessman. I called because his work that he completed has gone faulty. MY AC is not working less than 10 months later. He told me i don't have the proper documentation and said that he didn't do the work which I have the documentation in which he signed and I signed that its completed. He lies and says he's the dispatcher Patrick although it's actually Al you're speaking with. He called a co-worker or most likely one of his sons after and by accident called me as well. I have him on recording saying that he doesn't like Jews or Pakistanis, that I'm a liar and that he says he's Patrick even though it's him speaking. November 2018 Hired Piper Heating and Cooling to remove my old boiler and hot water heater and install a new High Efficiency Williamson Boiler system (GMI 127) with a 3" powerevent in the electrical room. System included Superstaor SSU30 Storage Tank, pressure reducer, backflow and extrol tank. The work was completed around the middle of Nov 2018. I was told the permit and inspection would follow in a couple of weeks. I paid them in full. In the middle of January 2019 the new boiler system starting making noises and the hot water wasn't working some times. Over the next couple of weeks these problems would happen everyone once in a while and then they just got worse. The first week of April the hot water would only work if the heating system was on. I called the phone number on the bill (844) 547 3900 and the person answered said that Piper Heating and Cooling was no longer in business. I reached out to the everyone I dealt with when I was getting the work done in Nov and no one would help me. Part of my contract with piper was a one year warranty. Its the middle of the summer and I need to have my heat on to get hot water. The NJ state Master License #19HCOOO751OO was the licensed associated with this business. I spend $13,900 on a new boiler system that doesn't work. I just don't want this to happen to anyone else (in case they open other business and take advantage of other people) read more
