Yuck. I haven't had the pizza here. This is for the calamari I ordered. I posted a picture of that monstrosity. I was given this huge box which was ridiculous when you open the package up and take the smaller bowl out. It has been a few years since I've had calamari from Giordanos, and the last time I had it I enjoyed it. Not so much anymore. When I opened the container there were extras in with the Calamari- fried green beans, fried red peppers, and fried lemon wheels in there? You can keep all of that nasty stuff and give me what I ordered- CALAMARI. The sauce they used was in a cup, but the lid was all melted from the heat. #Failure I had Calamari at the location which is now closed (Essington & Caton Farm) and I didn't get those ridiculous extras. The grease in the bottom of the bowl was kind of gross as well. I know it's fried, but most restaurants don't serve food with grease all in the bottom of the bowl. read more

The pizza was really good and I do not like stuffed pizza so that's saying a lot. The atmosphere is calm and professional but not stuffy. The waiter was nice even though he did mess up my order. Brought a salad with the wrong dressing. He also didn't come back often enough. By the time he walked over to the table for me to inform him about the salad, our pizza was almost already done. Went there on a Friday afternoon for lunch, was the first table in the restaurant. All members of our party ordered off of the express lunch menu. While my pizza was okay, it took over 40 minutes for us to get our salads (despite being the only table in the restaurant for the first 30 minutes we were there). We also waited almost an hour and a half for our lunches, with no apologies and multiple errors on our orders. Frustrated and disappointed with the service. Was not worth the wait. read more

I LOVE Giordano's! Living in Colorado I miss Giordano's. Anytime I get near one I go there (unless there is a Lou Malnati's closer). I have NEVER had anything other than their stuffed pizza...but why would I when their stuffed pizza is so good. Pizza was good of course! They honored a coupon when we signed up for email alerts which was nice--free appetizers are always a bonus. I'd give it 4 stars but our waiter seemed to have sporadic Alzheimer's and some of the other staff were sitting around at tables in the dining room with their friends. We order from here a lot for work, whenever we have people in from out of town they always want Chicago pizza. Personally, I don't like stuffed pizza but our experience here is always good. I usually call and order for delivery, I've picked up once and the woman in there was very friendly. Prices are average for this kind of food, and it's always fresh and everyone in my office loves it. Depending who answers the phone, it can be hard to order..one of the owners has a really thick accent and has made mistakes a time or two for us but always credits us towards our next order. read more

They have a pretty good service, the pizza is amazing and, the atmosphere here is very warm and friendly. I would recommend coming in any day. The only thing, and it's pretty well known, the pizza(deep dish) takes about 45 minutes. All in all, it's good stuff. read more

I'm from the OC and on my way home I stopped by to get a deep dish sausage pizza for my wife and kids back in California. The staff was very friendly and quick which helped because I didn't have a lot of time to catch my flight! The pizza (frozen) went right into my roll aboard and survived without any issues. Got home late (it was mostly thawed by then), put it in the oven and had an amazing midnight meal. If you have to travel, it's always good to bring home some pizza! Great Experience! Food was great! We were so lucky to have Jose as our server. He was quick. Smiled the entire time he provided service to us. Jose never forgot to ask about refills on drinks either. His service made the entire dinner enjoyable. The pizza was hot when it arrived at the table. The kids meals were served with the table pizza so no one had to wait for food. No happy with the experience with trying to place an order online. If you ordered a pizza on game day online you would get free wings. I tried twice and was kicked out. I called the order in and the would not honor this since it was an online deal only...bait & switch?? Shame on Giordano's for not honoring. I am a Giordano's fan, but my daughter found a hair in her crust tonight and the manager did not even apologize. Offered a new pizza that would take another 45 minutes to make. Had dinner here for the first time in years. Ordered the antipasti salad, 4 Miller Lites in bottles and a small stuffed pizza. Both were excellent! Pizza does take some time to bake. However what really took me by surprise was the price for the beer. $4.50 a bottle! Wow! I could understand paying that if we were downtown Chicago! Outrageous! I had the most awful experience at this Giordano's. After working a long day, I was grabbing a beer and pizza with a friend. I am 27 years old, and the waitress ask for my ID. I gladly gave it to her. She served me. Half way through my beer, a manager (I'm assuming because he never introduced himself) approached our table and told me "you look really young, can I see your ID." I again gladly showed my ID. He stared at it then asked me to recite my address. I ask him if he was kidding. He then asked if I had any other cards with my name on it. I pulled out all my credit cards and my birth control (which has my DOB and full name). He then said in the most disrespectful way "yeah, but you don't know your address." I told him I want the check immediately and we were leaving (prior to receiving our food). I was absolutely humiliated and embarrassed to have someone demean me the way that he did. I understand the risk and trouble the business could get in for serving underage drinkers, but there is a professional way to handled this situation. His demeaning and out right rude behavior was not the way to do so. I will never return. read more

We've had Giordano's pizza from many places but this one makes smaller pizzas with very little sauce. The last time this happened we spoke with Marco who continued to argue with us for 30 minutes before sending us a new pizza. He refused to believe that it was possible for his kitchen to make a pizza that didn't meet their normal standards. 1:30 later we received our new pizza and it was up to par. Not sure why the manager chose to argue with us and imply that we were in the wrong. Not good customer service. read more

placed an order for pizza and wings on 11/16. After 2 hours order still had not arrived. Called back they never sent it and it was just sitting there. They tried to get me to take the pizza that was sitting for 2 hours. I do understand that mistakes happen. So on 11/20 I again placed an order of a chicken parm sand and potato fritters. Was told it would take and hour. After hour and a half I called and was told it would be there shortly. AT the 1hr45m order finally came. Went to eat and the entire order was cold. First off I'd like to say that Giordano's has an incredible deep dish pizza. It's definitely the best deep dish pizza you're going to get in the Plainfield area. The only thing that I don't like about Giordano's is their prices are incredibly High! You can easily spend over $50 per delivery just by getting a deep dish pizza and some wings. Although this is definitely one of my favorites places, I really think they should lower the prices. They're not the only Pizza shop in town and they should stay competitive. read more

Giordano's Stuffed crust is oh, so good! a bit pricy, but worth endulging in once in a great while. Two thumbs up from me.

Pros: Pizza was great, service was fine. Cons: The S'mores pizza was not good. The crust was not soft, tasted kinda stale. The chocolate syrup was too runny and the marshmallows were kinda hard. Also, the delivery kid was a tad snarky. I will probably pick up the pizza myself next time since kids today expect 50% tip for driving a small box down the street, walking 10 feet, and ringing a doorbell. read more

If I could give this location negative stars I world. First time there in a long time a few months ago, stuffed pizza comes out barely warm. Ok, must be a fluke. Second time about a month ago, again the pizza was barely warm. We sent it back to be warmed up. We also saw the wait staff bringing pizzas from other tables to the kitchen and back to the tables a few min. later. I complained to the corporation thinking there must be something wrong with the ovens. How could a pizza that cooks for at least 30 min. come out cold. They sent me a gift card so I figured why let it go to waste. I ordered online for pick up thinking, if need be, I can just heat it up at home. I get there and they have no pizza for me. They can't even find an order! I know I clicked place order. The manager comes out and says I have to have a confirmation code. He didn't offer to make it, didn't apologize, nothing. I probably would have waited if he were the least bit accommodating or pleasant. I am now down at Lucano's waiting for a stuffed pizza to cook. Never been here before, but at least they are nice and want my business. I will NEVER step in any Giordano's owned by this franchisee. Horrible customer service. Ordered a large thin crust and was told will be done in 30 min. Arrived and was never greeted. Kids at front were just talking amongst themselves. Then finally acknowledged me and told them my name. They went to look for my pizza and arrived 5 min later with manager saying they lost my order. Gave me a discount and said it will be done in 20 min. Total time from time I called till I arrived home with pizza was 1 hour 20 min. Had issues the previous time with the service. I love Giordano's pizza however I doubt I will ever order from this Plainfield location ever again. I ordered my pizza and was told it should take an hour but maybe an extra 15 minutes tonight. I was fine with this until an hour and 30 minutes goes by with No call... No status. I call to check and am told the driver is on the way. About ten minutes later... I get another call from the driver asking for my address and saying he'll be at least another 15 minutes. (He obviously wasn't on the way like I was told earlier.) I tell him to cancel because my husband is starving and angry by now... I call to make sure they don't charge my card and they have the manager talk to me. Instead of making things right and apologizing I get nothing but lame excuses. She said they got behind and she asked for more drivers to come in but couldn't get enough. I respond you could have called us to let us make the decision if we wanted to wait 2 hours for pizza... Now we're starving and not going to eat... Instead of taking responsibility for her store at this time she tries to blame it on the driver..... Just sad! read more
