Read great reviews about the deep dish pizza and I had to try it because up north pizza is a big deal and one of my favorite to go to quick foods. I enjoyed the wings very well seasoned and the sauce was amazing! However, the pizza for me it was different not bad but different. The reason I gave it 3 stars because we waited about 25-30 minutes to have our order taken,m. The server was nice and polite but the serve was extremely slow. Recommended by a true Chicago native, we came here for dinner during our trip. This is a very personal review as I love NY pizza so I ended up ordering a chopped chicken salad. It was very expensive for a salad but at least it tasted good! With plenty of chicken, greens, blue cheese, tomatoes and some pasta, this was one of the better salads I had on this trip. Unfortunately, even though they were quite empty, the service was very slow and our server often forgot to come and see how we were doing. I did try the deep dish pizza and just a small bite was MUCH too cheesy for me. The crust though, was very nice but all my companions were bogged down after this meal. Usually I order NY style pizza since it's prevalent around here and I enjoy it, but I've been wanting to try this place for a while and have some good, deep dish style pizza since it's been a long time since I've had it. Giordano's did not disappoint! We arrived at a non peak time kind of between typical lunch and dinner time and there was no wait to get a table. By the time we left though, it was getting pretty packed so keep that in mind. It's also in one of the popular tourist areas so it makes sense that crowds show up at peak times. Our server was friendly and attentive. The ambience of the restaurant wasn't really my favorite; it's kind of loud and smaller than I expected, but not bad by any means. We started with an order of cheesy garlic bread and ordered a small deep dish with chicken sausage, mushrooms, and spinach. The server kindly informed us that the deep dishes take about 35-40 minutes and I really appreciated the heads up! It let me know what to expect for wait time which was nice. The cheesy garlic bread came out pretty quickly and I loved that it was served with warm red sauce instead of lukewarm or cold like many places. The garlic bread was tasty and the sauce was good. The pizza was also really good. The cheese pull wasn't as intense as shown on the website and social media, but it was still a great amount of cheesy goodness. The chicken sausage was perfect and less greasy than typical pork sausage. The flavor was good and the crust had a good taste. We both really enjoyed it and it's super filling. We had about half between the two of us (slice and a half each) and it was plenty. While I don't love the location and atmosphere as much, I'm definitely going to return because the food is worth it and satisfies my deep dish pizza craving! read more

I was very excited to try this place, because I had never tried dip dish pizza before. A friend of mine recommended this place and I added it automatically to my bucket list. The place looks nice, with a friendly atmosphere. The hostess at the entrance was super nice. We ordered a tomato, mushroom and cheese dip dish pizza to go. When I tried the pizza I automatically noticed that the top layer of dough was raw. I had to take it out to be able to eat the rest of the pizza (the filling and the bottom part dough). Since there was a 20 minute wait once we actually arrived and we had food ready to read, the manager stepped up and took care of us in a closed section of the patio. THIS is what customer service looks like! He even accepted a coupon for a different location! He could have shrugged his shoulders and made us wait. Now I have enjoyed Chicago style pizza in Chicago, and I was excited to have the opportunity to enjoy Chicago style pizza outside of Chicago! I ordered a spinach pizza to go. I think it's pretty cool that the pizza comes half-baked (at your request) so that when you take it home, you can pop it in the oven and finish baking it. A fresh pie from your oven filling the home with aromas of marinara and CHEEEEEESE! This is a bonus considering the purpose of this pizza is to enjoy the warm dough along with super stingy, melty, chessy goodness! My pie was oh so gooey and oh so yummy! Just like if I would have been in Chicago eating my Chicago style pizza. Now I have been a Lou Malnati's fan traditionally but I think Giordano's is winning me over. My only qualm with this experience is with the price. My hotel was near the Giordano's on Apopka Vineland which is where I found out about the half-baked option. But I was shopping near the Mall of the Millenia and realized there was a closer location which would prevent me from having to drive 20 minutes the opposite way of where I was going next. The PRICES WERE DIFFERENT! It wasn't by much. I think $3-4 difference but it was the SAME PIZZA only 20 mins drive difference. If I wasn't so hungry that day and totally set on that pizza for dinner, I might have cancelled my order. It was about the principle. I've never been to Chicago and I'm sure I'll go one day, but for now this is closest I've had to the real thing. Unlike New York style, these are literal pies of sauce, cheese, and filling of choice. It's unfair to compare the two, they're totally different but both are delicious either way. Speaking of filling, two slices of a small is VERY filling so order accordingly otherwise you'll be taking a lot of leftovers back with you. This isn't a bad thing though, because I find reheating the leftovers the next day is almost better than the the first. read more

I like these guys, and we really need for this place to thrive and stay. Having grown in Chicago, I have experienced all the best Chicago Style Pizza places. Although Giordanos is not my number 1, it is the only one in Orlando that satisfies our craving. The Deep Dish is the deepest dish I've ever seen. The brochure the hotel provided included a Free Cheesy Bread coupon (delicious). And a Greek Salad. I don't think we can finish even half of this. Do not bother going here. I am from Chicago and frequented Giordano's regularly there. We chose the thin crust because of time constraints. The pizza presented to us was burnt, the crust was rock hard. The worst was the topping slid right off the crust. They say that the crust is homemade. It obviously is frozen. This is our second visit to Giordano's. It was the first thing we did after arriving to Orlando from Ft. Lauderdale (a 3 hour drive), because we loved their pizza the last time we were here. Come with a bit of time, as the pizza can take a while to get ready, but in my humble opinion it is worth the wait (and this is coming from a Ex-New Yorker). This is a legendary pizza born in Chicago. Having been to the original location in Chicago, the quality of the pizza matches up with this chain location, even if the experience may not be the same. This is a deep dish pizza which means any ingredients are baked on the inside of the pizza with the sauce on top. These pizzas are huge and a small is more than enough for 2 people. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because of the service. I ordered a pepperoni pizza for takeout and ended up getting bacon on it as well. Mistakes happen, but in past experiences the overall service while sitting in the restaurant is pretty poor. It is very slow service and the staff is not very friendly, but not necessarily rude either. They just seem like they are not very happy to be working and serving you.
