Love the deep dish pizza always. This specific Giordanos is pretty dirty (windows, doors, bathrooms, what you can see of the kitchen when you walk back, the pile of dirty paper towels that sit by the door going back into the dining room). I did let someone know the soap was out in both the men's and women's bathrooms and the paper towels in the women's (mom life visiting both multiple times). Neither was addressed in the time we were there (probably an hour and a half...takes about 45 minutes to get deep dish). Service wise at this place, looked like one person working most of the tables, so I know that can be tough and it was a little slow reflecting that, which isn't her fault. The biggest weird thing though is that we actually took a second to look at our bill (both of us looked). The subtotal didn't add up. So I'm not sure if she already added tip and just didn't have a line for it (maybe it's like an auto thing?) but then when you tap to pay it gives you another spot to tip again. I just think that's a little sketch. We often are in a hurry and don't look, so adding an extra almost $20 and not having a line for it and then also having a spot for another tip can be a little deceptive. There were just the 4 of us, I know it's often auto when it's a bigger table, but we weren't. So, yeah, just weird and felt a bit deceptive. We went to Giordano's because my son was craving the chicken parm sandwich. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. My husband and I ordered an original thin crust pizza, which is supposed to be triangle-cut like a regular pizza, but it came square-cut instead. More importantly, the sauce just didn't taste very good, which was disappointing given Giordano's reputation. We also ordered a house salad to split (spring greens, tomatoes, and Asiago cheese). We asked for no fennel, which they accommodated, and the salad was fine -- nothing special, but fine. My son ordered the chicken parm sandwich (breaded chicken breast with house-made marinara and melted mozzarella on toasted garlic ciabatta), along with parmesan garlic fries and tomato bruschetta. The sandwich itself was okay, but the bruschetta missed the mark -- way too many diced tomatoes and the bread wasn't crispy at all. Service was another issue. Our waiter seemed unbothered and hard to find. Every time I tried to get his attention, he was nowhere around. Dirty dishes piled up, and since I couldn't get them cleared, I ended up moving them to the table beside us, which isn't something guests should have to do. Make sure you sign up for the loyalty program at least 24 hours in advance so you can get the $5 off your meal! Overall, it served its purpose, but between the lackluster food and inattentive service, I left feeling less than thrilled. Nothing terrible -- just not a place I'd be eager to rush back to. First time having a real deep dish pizza and it didn't disappoint. I love the concept of how they layer the topping and then cheese and sauce. It gives it a different texture for sure. They really put a heavy amount of jalapeños tho, because I was barely able to finish a slice. I will stay away from jalapeños next time. Will try to return another day and update this review. It was just my husband and I so only a two top. We went in for the deep dish and fries lunch special. We were greeted by the manager/owner? Super unpleasant didn't even say hello just sat us at a table and walked away. A 6 top came in after us and was greeted before we were which was off putting. The server finally came over and let us know they had no French fries which was pretty much what we came for in addition to the pizza. She let us know it could take up to 30 minutes which I understand for deep dish but at that point we felt we were just in their way because a huge 6 and 10+ top came in after us so we left. We hope to try it again as it looked so good but maybe we'll try the other location that might be more welcoming to new potentially regular customers. Sorry no pics, no food! read more

I haven't been here in a while but we consider it a treat once and awhile so it was time. I decided to try the Italian Beef arancini which was pretty good. I'll definitely get it again. My son kept his deep dish simple with just cheese. I had sausage and half green pepper. I would have liked more green pepper but it was still good. Now. What upset us and convinced me to not come back to this location is this; My son came out with the two pizzas and a bag. I assumed the arancini was in the bag, as I'm talking to him, I'm opening the bag and reaching into the bag when I look and see that it's fries. So just before I actually touched the fries, I pulled my hand out and a gentleman is at my windows saying I have the wrong bag. So I hand it back to him and my son followed him back into the restaurant. My son said the gentleman handed the bag of fries to a customer and then went and got my order to give to him. Now, maybe it's different here, but I was always told that's an absolute no, no. My hand was literally inside the bag, and even if it wasn't, it had been in my vehicle and therefore compromised. At the very least either leave the bag or throw it all away. I don't feel comfortable with that decision and I won't return to that location if that's how they conduct business. read more

LoOoOve Giordano's We make it a point to eat here whenever we're in the area--it's just THAT good! We always get the stuffed pizza and while I want to try other toppings, I always get the meat and more meat. We thought the place was going to be packed, but there was tons of seating in the deck. There was a convenient heater heating up the space since it was cold, it was like a light bulb--which was pretty cool. Our waiter was great! We were driving back to the hotel from Universal Studios and were surprised to see a Chicago favorite in Orlando! As usual, the deep dish pizza was fantastic. After the beach we came here because one of my friends wanted Giordano's. I had giordanos before and it's okay to me but maybe because on this particulate day I wasn't wanting deep dish that I really didn't care for it. The waitress was very nice and pleasant. It was four of us that came for pizza. 2 of the friends ordered personal pizzas while me and another friend split a small pizza because we are very similar when it comes to our pizza toppings. Unfortunately, I had one slice (barely) and was not satisfied and didn't even take home leftovers. My friends ordered personal who shared the pizza with me, was spending more time removing so may onions out of her pizza slice so we were both just not happy. Our other friends, had our pizza and actually liked ours instead of theirs because of how much cheese we had. We also shared a ceasar salad and it was too much anchovies. It was packed in the establishment and the ambiance was loud and just chill vibes. If you like deep dish, definitely try them out-many love giordanos perhaps it was a bad day for me or I just wasn't into the pizza. We visited Giordano's Thanksgiving weekend when we were in town visiting family. We have been to the location in Chicago and was super surprised to see they had a location in Orlando. After eating Thanksgiving dinner the day prior, we had a taste for pizza so we decided to get a deep dish! Parking was fairly easy as there's parking in the front of the establishment. The restaurant was pretty clean and the staff was very friendly. We were seated pretty quickly upon entering and we were directed to a booth. We ordered the garlic bread to start and also a side salad. For the deep dish, we chose the Chicago classic deep dish. Everything was made to order and delicious! *WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE (See end of review) Our older friend adores THIS pizza, specifically deep dish pizza from Giordano's. Our family of four drive from Southern California to 1.) Experience the best pizza ever 2.) Tour KSC. The pizza was fabulous! We've never had anything like it. The kids adored the build your own with their favorite toppings and said it pairs perfectly with the sweet tea. It was worth it to come here - I can see why our friend was a super fan and, in turn, we are now super fans too. The waiter staffing our table checks on us frequently and was kind and courteous. However, the worst customer service I've ever experienced from one of their employees happened before we set foot in the restaurant's door. When we were getting off the freeway, our friend had his blinker moving into the exit lane when he was cut off by a car behind him that aggressively sped up and passed him. He made the lane change and continued to the restaurant; the car that cut him off was in front of us the entire time and then parks in Giordano's carry out parking only spot! We were parked in regular parking a few spots over - there were plenty available. When we got out of the car, our friend started with, "There's no reason for aggression..." in a calm voice and gets cut off with a barrage of insults and profanities as the 20s-something male dressed in black walks into the restaurant (we saw him clock in as we entered behind him). It would have been easy to let this experience change our minds about the restaurant or coming here. But this guy clearly has a lot to work on and we weren't about to let his attitude get in the way of what was otherwise a fabulous experience. Walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and was sat down by our host. It took maybe about 10-15 minutes for our server to take our order, but there was a lot of parties and it seemed like there was only two servers working the floor at the moment. We ordered two Michelo Ultra's while waiting. Beer bottle was warm but she gave us iced cold glasses to cool them off. Our server said the deep dish pizza would take about 45 mins which we didn't mind. We got the medium deep dish pizza with pepperoni, bacon, mushroom and banana pepper. When I realized on accident they had a Giordano's in the area, I had to go and grab myself a pizza! I ordered online as when I went on the website, it was very friendly and easy to access this, as needed. I got myself just a pan deep dish, and was pleasantly surprised the plain was just $11 (plus toppings another dollar and change per). When I walked in, people were friendly, and the people were having fun. I noticed the walls gave that friendly Chicago feel (of the restaurants, not the people) and the smell of the pizza even was outside (great on this cold night). My pizza was ready when I arrived, and I was in and out in less than two minutes. When I got back to the hotel and I ate my pizza, the pan (though small) was perfect for one, but, enough for me to crave another one soon! My one problem was they only gave one mushroom when I ordered mushrooms (but, user error happens). All and all, a top class place, in a perfect location, and definitely my top Chicago deep dish chain. read more

Can I tell you I get more excited coming to Orlando to eat at Giordano's than going to any park. Love the calamari which has fried peppers, yum. We decided to go to Giordano's to fill our deep dish craving as the local place by us recently changed owners and no longer offers deep dish pizza. We came on a Saturday around 5:30 p.m. The place was busy, but we were seated right away. Service - A. Our server did a great job. Food - B. We started with an order of their garlic parmesan fries. We ordered this mainly for our little guy to eat. Unfortunately, the fries were very bland. Yes, there was parmesan cheese and maybe a sprinkle garlic powder. Giordano's is an italian restaurant. A little fresh garlic would have gone a long way. Of course we ordered deep dish pizza. Anyone is crazy if they come here and don't order what they are known for. We got a medium size for the two of us to split. It was more than enough. We ended up taking 1/2 of it home. It took about 45 minutes from the time we ordered, which we knew ahead of time and were fine with. The pizza was decent. VERY cheesy. However, it was dry.
