Enjoyed our first trip to Ginza! The vibe, food. And service was excellent. We started with the spicy edamame, regular edamame, crispy tuna rice, Gyoza, and Rock shrimp. Drinks were great. Martinis, beers and saki. Dinner we had a ton of special rolls, maki combos, shrimp fried rice and shrimp tempura. Everything was great and fresh. We were a group of 6. My only negative was there is no room to wait on a packed Saturday night. They have a beautiful big bar but it was filled and people had to wait in the entrance. Could have done half the bar, had more waiting room and added a few extra tables. It's not a big restaurant but it's beautiful. We will be back. Make a reservation! read more

Finally had a chance to try this place in Sept for my birthday with my friend. We each ordered the ginza sushi and sashimi omakase platter. It was $88 each, but you get some premium cuts. Note that it's not omakase served piece by piece, unfortunately. For $88, it's not bad. The pictures say it all, and they were fresh. The only disappointment was the uni. It was quite bland/slightly fishy as if it weren't quite fresh. Why the 4 stars? We waited over an hour for our platter. The waitress wasn't lying when she asked if we wanted to order any appetizers. She is forewarning us of the wait. They ended up giving us free edamame while we wait. Overall, it was a pretty nice place to bring a date or to chat with a friend since the food might take some time to get to you. read more

Ok. So I came here for a work meeting. Not to eat. I kept seeing amazing fishing's coming out so I waited patiently to order. I sat by the bar and ordered a Sauvignon Blanc as I knew it would be a great paring with fish. By the glass it's from New Zealand and it did not disappoint. 1st star archived. The soup to follow was nice. Then came my main course did I tell you I ordered this bc I saw someone else's order and I had to try it based on looks ?! Well, I ordered the sushi sashimi combo. Every piece was fresh & clean. Paired with the wine it was even more amazing. The shredded radish with ponzu was such a good palette cleanser as well. Oh might I say the design and visuals were so sexy ?! Loved the bar and the over all design of the restaurant. Onto the dessert Sake ! The manager suggested a cold Sake that I never had before and was infused. 10/10 amazing. So for my whole dinner experience I say 10/10! Everyone was attentive & not pushy. Used to LOVE Ginza, it was my husband and my go to sushi spot. However the last few times, they've been completely messing up our orders (takeout) and we don't realize until we bring it home. By then, we don't want to be traveling another 40 mins (roundtrip) to be picking up the right items. For example today, we ordered hand rolls only to find we were given cut rolls instead. We didn't even see it initially. This is the 4th time in a row that something in our order has messed up. Not to mention, customer service for this place has also gone downhill. Last few times including today, a simple "sorry about that" was all we got. I guess our fault for continuously going back thinking the next time would be different. Sucks because the food is good, but unfortunate for us, don't think we'll be going back as the mess ups and service outweigh the food. read more

First thing we noticed when we walked in was how clean the place was. We had a reservation but unfortunately we still had to wait about 20 mins. This is one of the reasons I'm not giving it a full 5 stars. We waited at the bar and ordered a drink. The bartender was so personable. When we got to our table we loved the little lamp at the table with the adjustable lighting. Our server was also very sweet. Service was just a little slow. Not necessarily any one person's fault. They are very busy which at a sushi place to me is a good sign because you know what you're going to get is fresh and the sushi definitely was delicious. We got the soft shell crab to start and it was 4 big crispy legs. I personally also like the body. I feel like you're only getting half the crab(another reason for the 4) so I kind of wish that was included but overall very good. We got 4 different rolls and all of them were very good and hearty. The TNT and the toro roll were my favorite. We really weren't sure what the sauce was that came with it. We think it was some kind of truffle esque sauce but it was a nice accompaniment. I had a really good time. The place has a very modern SOHO feel and the food is definitely fresh. They do get packed so be prepared to call in reservations. I had a negative experience at Ginza. We had a reservation for 4 people and we still had to wait 20 minutes for our table. We ordered 3 appetizers and they came out sporadically. The first one came out, then 7-8 minutes later the second one came out. We thought they forgot about the third one, but 10 minutes later they served it. After 50 minutes of waiting for our entrees, we asked the server if they were coming. She didn't know. Then 10 minutes later, after one hour of waiting, we asked again and the server was nasty and said "there's nothing I can do". We asked for the manager and she came over and was nice. Shortly after that one entree was served. The rest of us waited 10 more minutes for our entrees and by that time the person who was served before had cold food. After all that waiting, two orders came out wrong, but we were afraid to send it back because of the incredibly long wait. The server was very inattentive, she never once came to ask us if we needed anything else. After we finished, she put down the dessert menu and walked away without saying a word. The manager felt bad and said dessert was on the house. She gave us one small dessert for 4 people. The food was very good, but because of the poor service I will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

Very confused about this place. We used to frequent Massapequa and when I saw they had reopened we thought we should try it out. My husband and I walked in around 8:15 tonight, looked crowded but had plenty of open tables. We stood by the bar and looked around. Only one issue- no hostess. We continued to look around and didn't get greeted by anyone. We also noticed a stale fishy odor in the air. Not pleasant and coupled with the fact that none of the staff appeared interested in greeting us, we left. An average looking shop in a strip center. Easy to park in the lot out front. Our reserved table was ready for us when we arrived. We started with some appetizers. We had the oysters yaki which were really good. It was a fried oyster back in the shell. Yum! Then we had mango kani salad and it was full of good sized pieces of mango. Really enjoyed it. We had the rainbow roll. It was just ordinary. Can pass on that one for next time. There was a special of dumplings with peanut sauce. Great balance of all flavors and texture of the dumpling was just right. Next, we had a 2012 which is coconut shrimp, mango, scallop and topped with kani salad. It was an explosion for the taste buds. So very delicious. This was our first time at Ginza. We will definitely be back soon and have a list of new items we'd like to try! read more

This was my favorite sushi spot before they closed in Massapequa. I lived a few blocks away and was there at least weekly. I was so excited to find out they reopened a spot in Levittown. I ordered my spicy tuna crunch rolls last night and they were PERFECT. I am a big texture person and they do everything right in my book. The rice isn't dry, the tuna is delicious and the roll pieces are perfect size. I will be back often! Please bring back the Tuna Tartare with Crispy Cracker, or at least that awesome yuzu crème fraiche sauce! I'll be back even more often for that. Also- this is a sushi spot. You don't go to a steak house and then complain the spaghetti and meatballs wasn't great. To leave a bad review based on something like that is unfair. People really need to use their heads. read more

The sushi here is very good. I moved to this area back in 2018 and struggled to find a sushi place comparable to our favorite place near our old home (Sakaya, which has since been sold). Ginza is a beautiful restaurant. Really tastefully decorated, very nice bar, bright and trendy. The service is great. Attentive without being overbearing. The list of specialty rolls may be smaller than other places, but the quality of the fish is much better than anything else in the area. read more

Stumbled upon Ginza because my daughter does gymnastics nearby. I was looking for a sushi place to take her after gymnastics on what happened to be her birthday and Ginza did not disappoint. We started out with edamame and it was perfect. Just the right amount of salt. Then came the sushi. My daughter ordered two California rolls and I had two salmon rolls, a salmon cucumber roll, a salmon cucumber roll and a spicy scallop roll ( I was hungry). Everything tasted fresh and I was stuffed and satisfied. The restaurant is clean, well decorated and our server, Erin, was fantastic! She was courteous, attentive and a real pleasure to talk to. Finally Ginza opened back up again! The food was very good. My husband and I ordered miso soups to start and edamame's. The edamame was OK. The sushi rolls were a generous size considering some were special and some were regular. The service was good considering it was very busy. It is a lot smaller than the original Ginza so there is no as many tables. The decor and ambiance is perfect for a date night. I would recommend making a reservation and not just walking in! read more
