As a new transplant from NYC, I came in hopeful after hearing this was the closest thing to a New York slice up here -- but alas, my taste buds disagreed. The pizza leaned more Sbarro than Soho: doughy crust, thick cheese, and not that fresh-from-the-oven feel I was craving. That said, the fries were hot, crisp, and delightful, and the staff's friendliness truly stood out. Maybe my NYC standards are a little too harsh, but if you're after a quick bite, this place will do the trick -- even if I might just wander over to the McDonald's in the parking lot next time.

We all decided a pizza for dinner was a good plan. We were only a few minutes away from Gino's. They are located in a large mall. Gino's is a small place and not very conducive to dining in for 4 people. One or two people would be fine. We decided on a New York style large spinach and mushroom pizza. That's a thin crust pizza. Our pie was made fresh and they told us 15-20 minutes. There are three sizes to choose from; medium, large and extra large. The large is sufficient to feed 3 males and 1 female unless you are starving. They were on time making and boxing the pizza. Note that if you use a credit card, a 4% charge is tacked onto the bill. Staff were nice and make a good smelling pizza. Once home we unboxed the pizza. The pizza was very tasty, ingredients fresh with a thin crust. It all disappeared and was liked by all. Good choice for pizza. Large shared parking lot.

First time trying. Came before going to movies across the parking lot. Figured I'd decide whether to get a whole pie or just slices depending on what slices they had available. Got two slices of Buffalo chicken in a creamy sauce on somewhat thicker dough and two slices of plain cheese on thin NYC style crust. Both were excellent. Got each as part of a special with a 20 oz drink included. Cost $10.30 and $8.80, respectively. Will be back.

Their taco pizza is unmatched i go there everyday on my break just for a slice. Their service is fast and friendly the ambiance is your typical pizzeria. I didn't take a picture of the pizza but I found a picture that shows how much I enjoyed the food

My family and I are traveling and we're searching for a NY style pizza. Gino's did not disappoint! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it came out quickly and was super hot. The staff was also very friendly!

In an effort to broaden my horizons when it comes to finding new places to eat in Buffalo, my roommate recommended Gino's NY Pizza to me. I love Buffalo style pizza but variety is the spice of life! I haven't met many thinner crusted pizzas that I did not enjoy. I settled on getting the large 16" white pizza from Gino's seeing as the temperatures are getting warmer and the sun is out for longer; a pizza that's filling but doesn't sit like a rock in your stomach. Overall, I'm very happy with this pizza! One cannot begin a pizza review without talking about the structural backbone of the whole dish: the crust. Perfectly cooked, great leoparding (spotting) on the bottom and edges, and the right balance of sweet and savory. The gluten structure is on point! On top of this perfect crust is a layer of ricotta cheese which takes the place of a traditional red sauce. On top of the ricotta is a layered heaven of garlic, mozzarella, and whole slices of tomatoes. Tomato slices on pizza is an underrated topping and I'm mad that more people don't put them on pizza. The online ordering process from Gino's was really painless. I ordered ahead for a later pick up time and when the pizza got home it was still piping hot! A hard thing to do but they seem to have mastered this tall order. I was worried that the pizza itself, being a white pizza, was going to be extremely oily but it was not at all. The crush held up like a champ and, this may be an unpopular opinion, it tasted better cold seeing as the toppings had had a few hours to get to know one another better. Overall, this is a great pizza spot and they will definitely be going onto my list of favorite places!

Sitting at home and neither of us wanting to cook, we decided to order pizza and wings from a new place. We ordered the NY style pizza and hot wings. I prefer NY and CNY style pizza to most. This place was among the 5 or so best NY style pizza one can find in the area. The wings, on the other hand, were perfect! The hot wings were decently hot, and the crisp to tenderness ratio was just perfect. I would highly suggest checking out this place if you are in the area and looking for some decent NY style pizza and delicious wings.

We ordered a large taco pizza and some sweet red chili wings through Grubhub for dinner. I've had taco pizza before, but never from Gino's, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but we were in the mood for a little food adventure. When the pizza came, we were glad to have given Gino's taco pizza a shot. The pizza has the usual ground beef with taco seasoning and melty shredded cheddar, of course, but it also includes fresh shredded lettuce, fresh tomato chunks, and sour cream, exactly like what you'd expect in a taco. The pizza crust is crispy with just the right amount of thickness to hold the generous toppings. It's like eating a taco bowl in the form of a pizza. Definitely the best taco pizza we've ever had! The wings are also delicious, plump and crispy, with the sauce having the right balance of sweet and spicy. The mvp of dinner is definitely that taco pizza though. I wish I had remembered to take a picture before finishing my slice. We will definitely be ordering from Gino's again.

Standard somewhat NYStyle pizza. I would recommend this joint to anyone wanting a good standard pizza. We ordered a large extra cheese and boy did they pile on the cheese...it was actually a little too much cheese (is that even possible?) but overall a good pie.

The best pizza I've had in buffalo, I'm from Long Island and this pizza was just as good as back home. The garlic knots were so flavorful and not burnt. The chicken Parmesan pizza was absolutely amazing I will definitely be back.

I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

I live in the city of Buffalo between Delaware and Elmwood and there are many pizza places around here, plus, I grew up on Bocce on Bailey pizza. However, the Forno Napoli pizza now ruins all others for me. I have never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what pizza is like there. Authentic and fresh.
