You'd think they would be pretty similar, but Buffalo definitely has its own style. I'm a truck driver and was hauling a load from Buffalo to North Carolina, so finding a good pizza spot where I could get a 53-foot tractor-trailer close enough was a challenge. Somehow I got lucky and found a nearby no-parking bus stop for a very quick stop. If you look at my picture, you can actually see my 18-wheeler peeking out from behind the bushes. I ran inside, ordered two pepperoni slices for $10.98, and was surprised by how huge they were. I was expecting NYC-style triangles but got big rectangular slices instead. The crust was crisp underneath with a soft, chewy interior, the sauce-to-cheese ratio was really good, and the crispy cup-and-char pepperoni was easily the highlight. The sauce had a slight sweetness without being overpowering. I also asked for ranch but ended up with Bleu cheese instead, and honestly I'm glad I did because it was really good. The place was clean, the service was quick and friendly, and the pizza was excellent. If I'm ever back in Buffalo, I'd definitely stop here again.

It is very dark and cold inside. If you're coming during the summer when it's air conditioned, grab your sweater! Our waitress was fantastic, and the dipping sauce served with the warm rolls can be addicting, don't eat too much or you'll be taking your food home. My favorite steak sub here is the Steak in the Grass!
